My brother outran 2 Dodge police cars in 1981 in the first car he ever owned: a 1969 Ford Tornio GT! He was 16 years old. Went through a police roadblock at 120 mph....long story short: he got out of it with only a speeding ticket. I was 8 when that happened and I've wanted one ever since.
It makes me sick to think of it now, but my dad bought a new 1968 GT formal top, dark green/white top, white racing stripe with a 289 Windsor & 10 years later I bought the twin to it (they were in the showroom together!) exact same paint but a 390 & a lot more miles on it. My brother still has dads, but I went & sold the 390 for $500! *smacks self in head*
My brother has it garaged, but it's getting rusted. "we" still own it. To still have both in the family would have been so cool.
I have a fairlane 500 fastback 1968 a restore project. Am never gone sell that car it is one of a kind in the netherlands.

it may only be a 302 however due to rpm capabilities and aftermarket availability they can be built into pretty descent 1/4 mile cars.
