Her actions were way too literal, and she seemed more like a spastic contemporary teenager than a heartbroken girl in the middle of turmoil. But that might be more the director's fault- either for directing her that way, or not stopping it when she did it naturally.

Her actual singing was decent... But when it comes to the belting portions- people would rather hear someone hit (and sustain) a lovely controlled tone, than hear them "scream" out a belted "note" for mere shock value.
