he didnt pause it its an easy trick yoi fold the string over and slide your finger over the flame and it get stuck in a bubble and when you shake it or move air to it it comes back out.

I really don't fear fire but on this video my finger isn't in contact with the fire long enough for me to get burned. Sometimes I do get hurt... thought it's a matter of minutes until i'm fine.

Oh cool thanks, I've been wanting to get a Zippo lighter with a mud flap emblem on the side but then again I thought about how much doing tricks like this scares the hell out of me.

all you need to do is bend the wick away from the flint wheel and light it. it makes a little gap between the flame and the wick so you use your fingers to separate it. the flame does not completely go out. there is a little flame down the chimney so use a little bit of air or wind to brink the flame back up

fold the wick sideways, and light it. when you make the flame "go away" its still lit at the bottom, but trapped under the wick. when you poof the fire back, the wind makes it catch on fire.

it's called twilight zone all he does is bend the wick away from the wheel towards the cam and it forces the flame down.

@Jezzzaa He didn't stop the camera. Its actually a real trick. You just bend the wick and slide your finger across the top an the flame will still be lit, it just won't be showing until a movement or air hits it.
