Some of the Megaman bosses die almost exactly this way! First lots of explosions, then beams of light... then b00m! The only thing missing is screen going white for a while! I dunno why you guys are comparing it to Skyrim. The dragons in Skyrim burn in rainbow-y flames. It looks very different. :)
