I found this anime to be very tragic a love taken away I was hoping in the end Eve would of went back to the world with Hatsuki and stayed with her instead of wiping her memory of ever knowing her alas though that didn't come true but instead she was left to rot in her lonliness by herself knowing somewhere in her heart that something was there and yes I agree for Hatsumi to be her child is very wrong

IIIII think people are worrying too much about this mother-daughter thing. I think they'd just develop a strong, platonic bond. After all, being raised by Hatsuki will change Hatsumi - she'll be a different person, because people are affected by environmental factors as well. It's like if you had a partner you loved, then (s)he died, and their your child together turned out to be just like them... You wouldn't be attracted to them. The circumstances are different. Does that make sense?

Okay, so who is Yamiyama? Is that supposed to be Adam? And what's up with Arya? Why was he closing the book at the end? And why could'nt Miruka grow at first? What it the Periperi? How come it only affected her? And why was this episode mostly a repeat of episode 1? And Garugantuas-sama didn't love Eve and loved Ritsuko? I didn't understand the thing with him AT ALL. This anime left me with too many questions. It was great but...yeah
Yamiyama was the protector of the library and Ririsus(Litlith) lover. Hatsuki contains the essence of Yamiyama which is why Ririsu develops a crush on her(Ep.3).Adam does not appear on the Anime either but is spoken of (Ep.3). Arya besides being the narrator is also supposedly cleaning after Hatsuki and Ririsu. I think he closed the book to show its another world in other words a,book within a book or a world within a world.
Miruka could not grow because a page in the book she was in was ripped therefore the story could not continue hence she couldn't grow."Periperi" is a made up word which is supposed to be a sound for tearing or ripping.It only affected her because the story in the book is about her,shes the main character there(Ep.6).
and lastly if something gets repeated with a different ending then it can only mean one thing, that history repeated itself,however this was in another book where Hasumi doesn't exists (Ep.13). Ritsuko liked but Gargantua loved with Jiru who is eve in another book(Ep.3). He goes from world to world to find Eve but in the end he has a change of heart and goes back to his own world with Risuko(Ep.12). Hope I cleared things up =P

And also, was Hatsukis sword actually the letter knife Hatsumi cut herself on? But it had taken another form?
Hatsumi is just one of the forms of Eve like Princess Fuji in episode 8. In other words she travels to different books and takes a different role each time. Different yet similar in that they all disappear on their 16th birthday. Hazuki has just the essence of Yamiyama or just a resemblance as stated in Episode 3. So hazuki Isn't exactly Yamiyama.
And yes the sword is the knife she cut herself with as far as I can tell anyways.
man....this is really disapointing, she made this journey to learn that it was in vain...and i'am holding back all the things what i want to say about hatsumi and this wouldn't be compliments...very bad ending..

This ending was.. not exactly what I expected. I guess if she had to become her daughter, then her sister is coming with her so there will be twins? Obviously Hatsumi/Eve doesn't quite love Hatsuki the same way, or maybe she does just being what she is she expresses it differently.

I'm sure everyone agrees with this. The fact that Hatsumi will turn out to be Hatsuki's kid is kinda wrong. I'm beginning to remember Kannazuki no Miko but at least that turned out well.

I think you forget that the romance in KnM was hardly compelling at all and I personally found myself hardly caring whether or not they got together at the end. Here, I was desperately hoping in that last minute that MAYBE it would work out in the end, because I ended up actually caring about the main characters and what happened to them.
That's also helped by how KnM took itself TOO seriously and I just ended up laughing about it, whereas this pulled...EVERYTHING off far better.

All and all, I guess what I enjoyed about this show the most was the broad scale that it was set upon, I also feel like they didn't have enough episodes/time to fully explain what was going on. I loved the Translator notes and such to help you follow the plot, which meh. The guy is Adam. Gah.

simply its vast scale back story puts it on a defferent level than most anime's, but the fact that its based off of a pervert game kinda dumbs it down a bit for me. I mean when somthing is ment to happen in the game they changed it for the show, but still have the situation there for when somthing happens making me think somthing IS going to happen. If it was a serious show it would be supreme. Since its not its ok.

I'm wondering, didn't Ririsu say in one of the first episodes that Hatsuki resembles the creator of everything, including Eve???. So if Hatsuki is that one, then Hatsumi is just created not originally born. As in the Bible, Eve was created with Adam's bone but they married. Isn't it more logical???

One such I've read is that the Hatsuki you see at the end is a different Hatsuki than the one that has been traveling, and the ending takes place within a completely different world, which is why Eve just turns 16 in it. The "real" Hatsuki is still lost in the book worlds

I have to admit kannazuki no miko is better because they eventually see each other in the end...plus it made me cry more. :) Is there a follow up series or anime?

I'm sure everyone agrees with this. The fact that Hatsumi will turn out to be Hatsuki's kid is kinda wrong. I'm beginning to remember Kannazuki no Miko but at least that turned out well.

I think you forget that the romance in KnM was hardly compelling at all and I personally found myself hardly caring whether or not they got together at the end. Here, I was desperately hoping in that last minute that MAYBE it would work out in the end, because I ended up actually caring about the main characters and what happened to them.
That's also helped by how KnM took itself TOO seriously and I just ended up laughing about it, whereas this pulled...EVERYTHING off far better.

That is like saying: I want to spend my life with you, but never as an lover. That kinda felt like Hatsumi was giving Hatsuki the finger after her whole search for her.

oh ya 1 more thing..the part where hatsuki din't has hatsumi's memory is similar to kannazuki no miko..but at least that anime end up with couple ending but this 1 will be mom-daughter ending.. O.o

I seriously want to write the creators of this show and be like "Wow thanks for making me wish I HADN'T SEEN THE DAMN ENDING"
All and all, I guess what I enjoyed about this show the most was the broad scale that it was set upon, I also feel like they didn't have enough episodes/time to fully explain what was going on. I loved the Translator notes and such to help you follow the plot, which meh. The guy is Adam. Gah.

Well, I think it might've been better to leave it on episode 12. The ending was kinda odd. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the guy at 1:08 Yami, the one Lilith was looking for?
And the child thing... That's kind of weird. I notice plenty of you wondering about the sex. Maybe they're trying to point out that you don't have to make love to someone in order to love them? I would like to know who the father is though.

simply its vast scale back story puts it on a defferent level than most anime's, but the fact that its based off of a pervert game kinda dumbs it down a bit for me. I mean when somthing is ment to happen in the game they changed it for the show, but still have the situation there for when somthing happens making me think somthing IS going to happen. If it was a serious show it would be supreme. Since its not its ok.

WAHH!! i'm not happy at all..i LOVE the different types of stories that they encountered like the train scene but i think that the writer focused too much on the other stories that they left main story hanging....wahh!!! and i still have questions that haven't been answered....

I think I get it Hazuki did not return to her world because she know that Hatsumi/eva would not be there anymore so she enterd another world so she could be togehter with Hatsumi when she is born has her child.

this anime me is really confusing but yet over all i ejoyed all differnt kinds of story in one anime, this is the one and only anime that confused me this much but it was a really sad and heart touching anime and i really enjoyed it. tysm for uploading it :)

I'm wondering, didn't Ririsu say in one of the first episodes that Hatsuki resembles the creator of everything, including Eve???. So if Hatsuki is that one, then Hatsumi is just created not originally born. As in the Bible, Eve was created with Adam's bone but they married. Isn't it more logical???

There are alot of theories and random guesswork
One such I've read is that the Hatsuki you see at the end is a different Hatsuki than the one that has been traveling, and the ending takes place within a completely different world, which is why Eve just turns 16 in it. The "real" Hatsuki is still lost in the book worlds

*cough* Anyway, so Hatsuki who knew Eve was going to leave had her memories erased?(Or did the guy reading switch books?) Because it's very wierd how when Hatsuki sees Hatsumi again, Hatsuki goes back to when she was from the first ep (as if she already forgot about everything about finding Hatsumi, since she doesn't think about it or telling us her thoughts that Hatsumi WILL leave) Then it goes to Hatsuki where Hatsumi never existed...

wait soooo Hatsumi is going to be her child???? and then what? she will have to be raped by Hazuki....ending is odd, but I like how they tied everything together. This anime was very very similar to kannazuki no miko; Hatsumi instead of Himecko, long black haired girl falls in love with blond girl, and the whole reincarnation ending. I have to admit kannazuki no miko is better because they eventually see each other in the end...plus it made me cry more. :) Is there a follow up series or anime?
