I saw one of your comments on a Victor Villadangos video and decided to check your compositions. I am glad I did ^^ really liking what I am hearing. I have heard only a few of them and up to now this is the one I most like *****.
Would love to be able to play it. If you could provide me with the score I'd be delighted to try it, although it doesnt look easy :)
Absolutely agree with ventz on this one, Paul. The "thunderstorm bit" is brill and logical and perfectly fit in this piece. In my opinion, a beautiful painting doesn't have to be painting of a beautiful thing. (your compositions are, in a way, much like surrealistic paintings btw)
Surrealistic paintings? Cool, I like that, just the kind of comment that makes me proud. I'm glad you like the thunderstorm bit, I figure it's the kind of thing Stravinsky would have done.
Thanks so much for such a carefully written reply.
hehehe.. nice one my friend^^ i felt light and happy after i listened to this one^^ this has got to be in my faves^^ 5 stars again.. i love the rhythmic cadences you used and i kinda liked the tension you built up at 1:44..^^ and 2:05 too i loved that part then off to the resolution @ 2:15 hehe brilliant!!! hehe take it easy Paul.
a virtuoso jazz banjo player who also plays classical at times. i've heard a cover of bach's partita 3 from Bela pretty crazy. I think i agree with Luke now that i think of it. btw, i loved the story on the right side - the clouds darkening i knew exactly what to picture in my mind
I love your description Paul. It's perfect. This piece is invigorating and energetic. There are so many wonderful sections of this piece, thematic changes, wonderful runs, and the overall spirit.
The ease of listening to your works is underscored by skill and talent you display in playing them. Quite an achievement. Bravo.

a cover of "recuerdos de alhambra" by fransico tarraega would be suiting for a good display of a song.

Hello Ed,
You are very, very kind, I am so pleased that this piece appeals to you so much.
I personally feel that I need to work harder on my practice, I had a finger-lock somewhere in the middle and just about kept going.
Thanks ever-so-much for your encouragement.
Best wishes.
