  • like if you're watching cos of soccer am!

  • very good

  • This song will always remind me of waking up in a Manchester travelodge, turning to face my mate and thinking "what the hell are you watching this crap for?"

No idea how but it got stuck in my head and that's it. Can't forget the damn thing now

  • haha i disliked this video

  • I love this song. I know I'm 22 and too old to watch CBeebies but I still enjoy it all the same. I didn't realise it was being used last year

  • My 6 month old and me love this song - its excellent!

  • 0:12 child drops camcorder.

  • @E1SUNZ thanks for that.

  • i love all the seasons theme songs cbeebies do, i always get a tear in my eye, i dont know why, they are just so sweet and uplifting, and my 2 year old dances in awe to them, id love the job of writing these kind of songs hats off to everyone who produced it, flippin brill!

  • Wish they hadn't replaced the 2008 version with Sid and Andy :(

  • love it! :) good singing :)

  • mad for it

  • Sorry but background riff of this song is NOTHING like "Please Please Me by the beatles. No not even at 1:44.

  • this song reminds me of my Grandma, she passed away this September and the time we recieved the bad news this was playin in the background, My 1year old loves it. a nice, mellow tune so every time it was on i thought about our late Grandma. i hope they play it every autum.

  • Is it just me or is the background riff in this song the same as the Beatles' "Please Please Me"? Listen at 1:44.

  • i think i like this song more than my daughter lol !!!! (how sad) I have to put it in youtube she luvs it. Wat a shame the autmn season has finished in cbeebies

  • absltly loveee this song ....very mellowyyy frm 30yr mum (pls dnt say im sad!)

  • Winter song now available.

  • I've heard it, and all I can say is dull, dull, DULL. Just because it's winter, they didn't have to make such a bloody dreary song about it.

  • Had a few requests for the MP3, so the link is now in the intro text.

  • Its great to have this on YouTube, thanks for posting. Being outside of the UK the BBC iPlayer is no use for me!

If anyone is loving the funky vibe to the arrangement, I'd suggest checking out 'The Go Team' this instantly reminded me of their Thunder Lightening Strike ablum. 'Ladyflash' is a great song to start with.

Now back to singing this all day.

  • What a strange twist we have here in the line of comments being made about apples! I think it's hilarious!

And if you want to know the answer to something factual why ask a woman? I would get a better answer from the budgie.

  • Well, to get back on topic, I was rather shocked yesterday a.m. to find that the Autumn Song had been replaced with a different tune! I nearly choked on my Kellogg's Common Sense! This morning, however, it was back in its rightful place, just after 'Big Cook Little Cook'.

    Bloody hell, I'm sad....

  • Kellogg's Common Sense LOL!!!

Ok now I have to admit that the levels of "sadness" for me do not extend to actually knowing the exact time the BBC screen that clip!!!

What WOULD be sad is if you admitted that you don't actually have kids and you deliberately get up each morning to watch it!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fuck me, no! I usually switch on the telly around that time and idly flick through the channels waiting for something half decent to come on. Because I generally leave the cable box on BBC1, I soon find this song playing as I start searching!

  • You know it's funny you say about Cerrie looking gorgeous in this clip. The bit on 0:42 is so lovely. I was sitting in the room whilst my son was watching this and saw this clip of her and it just looked so out of character of her, and it really makes her look so damn sexy, especially that bit where she raises her eyebrows.

My god man, what am I thinking/saying here?!!!! I am so sad!

  • Nothing sad about complementing a woman's beauty, my friend. That very same section is what prompted my comment too.

The bed time song's "hello moon!" does it for me too!

    T.

  • I don't know if it's just me thinking this but the first clip (she turns to the camera and puts on a "false" smile), followed by the bit with her catching the apple.....she just doesn't look happy at all in this clip. But those couple of seconds around the 0:40 mark just make her look so incredibly beautiful (which she is anyway). I don't know - there is just something about her in this clip which just isn't HER - do you know what I mean? And the "Hello Moon" clip too - yeah, totally agreed!!!

  • I do know what you mean.

The bit where she catches the apple - I bet if the clip stayed on her, it would show her crushing said apple in an explosion of autumn citrus pulp with pure vengeance in her eyes.

Kind of half Bionic Woman (crushing the tennis ball in the 70s show) mixed with the Hulk's anger.

I hope they hurry up with the Christmas ditty soon; anything to stop me posting nonsense like the above.

  • oh god this clip is so addictive....I have watched it at least 20 times today - that is soooooo sad....

that clip on 0:40 is incredibly captivating......she is so beautiful there.....but she really looks like she didn't want to be there....it's her whole body language, and the scene catching the apple too.

Makes me sad watching it....but I'm sad anyway!!

    Thanks for posting!

  • Autumn CITRUS pulp? Since when has an apple been classed as a citrus fruit?

OK, so I'm being pedantic, but I'm just sad like that!

  • ....as your name suggests! (but let's not get into unfortunate names).

You know what? before I posted that, I asked the wife if an apple was a citrus fruit, and she said yes!

I knew I should have married 'Wikipedia' instead.

For anyone else wondering, an apple is a 'pome' or 'pomaceous' fruit.

  • My name comes from a nickname I acquired in my hobby as a pub quizmaster, because it is a phrase I use so often when on the microphone.

Don't marry Wikipedia, whatever you do. It'd probably tell you an apple is a vegetable.

  • This is almost like a morning alarm call for me; when I get up, this is almost always playing as I switch on the TV.

  • lyrics from a keates poem

  • oh i love this, got a nice feel to it, it also reminds me of the song 'no salt on her tail' by the mamas and papas.

  • Its a beautiful song! i wanna cry!

    x

  • keri on here has 1 hand and i heard this tune be4 and just love the kids who sing this

  • my sister loves this shes watching it now, well dancing to it she lives the summer one.

  • i really want the lyriks to this :)

    anyone have them?

  • @118XxDudexX118 The lyrics are partly based on John Keats' Ode to Autumn from around 1819 which begins, "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness!". Pretty educational for a pre-school song, huh?

  • smile everytime I hear it . . . brilliant !

  • I love this since i heard it watching it with my little son on cbeebies. But i'm sure i've heard it before somewere or another tune similar, maybe in the 90's. Please let me know. or maybe i'm just getting old and my minds going LOL. The Golden season has arrived at last !! as we anglers say.

  • Vivaldi's Four Seasons has been used for a million things over the years. Cbeebies make regular use for their ditties.

  • let forever be by the chemical brothers!!!

  • maybe it is ! thanks

  • haha i love this song!!

  • love it xx

  • I love this song! I look forward to it every morning!

  • Its a little bit 'Ocean Colour Scene' I love it. Andy does look like someone is going to steal his apple though!

  • I leally like it :D

  • Sorry, but I much prefer this to the summer song! I love the arty quality of the film too.

  • It does have a gritty Quentin Tarantino feel, doesn't it.

  • Yeah, how can I make this an mp3??

  • I do prefer the summer song too but this is pretty good!!! It's growing on me more now that it's been on TV for a couple of weeks! They really should do a CD of all the presenter songs and that old Springwatch song with the fairies in the woods - love it!!

  • is it possable for this to be in mp3

  • To be honest i prefer the summer song, i think everyone does. But its gotta be hard trying to think of new songs all the time! The CBEEBIES APPLE at the end is amazing!!
