God damn, after watching 'her testimony about "I believe the title was bin laden determined to strike in America" and followed up that it was historical data, how can any one take up for this dumb fuck? Why did she just say France joined the coalition? We had to re-name them freedom fries because France was too dumb to get involved in her wonderfully conceived and brilliantly executed war on Iraq. Worst NSA and s of state.
She didn't say that Canada went to war with Iraq she said "all of those who were ultimately in Iraq" which included Canadian soldiers. It's right there in the video.
If you have to censor criticism, you must not be very confident in your own arguments. If your arguments won't stand up to scrutiny on their own merit, you certainly won't improve their credibility by blocking opposing comments...
@251omega Relax buddy, that's just my golden rule. 1) It forces me to read the comments (which you should give me credit for) and 2)I never block people speaking their mind as long as it is in a respectful manner 3) I reject comments when they contain name calling, spam, obvious racism, or that type of thing. Basically i keep it clean, for the better experience of everyone, including you. Other than that, enjoy commenting as much as you want.
I guess I will have to tell my friend Maple, Ontario, who was a forward situation surveyor with a unit in Iraq, that he's not Canadian. Well, according to Pommelafleche that is, because if he was fighting there in Iraq, clearly he wasn't sent by Canada. Then, he'll have to go and tell the other soldiers that were there with him that they are not Canadian either.
WOULD A COULD A SHOULD A. Saddam Hussein is responsible for 2.5 MILLION deaths, more than PolPot. He murdered 250,000 of his own people, Kurds. He invaded Iraq and Kuwait and was a brutal dictator along with his two sadistic sons. GOOD HE IS GONE... Sure we NOW KNOW he had no WMD's and now know he was no direct tie to 9/11. SO WHAT? It's done. He's gone and we left the country and it's a shit hole islamic quasi democracy. AND YES IRAQ HAS HUGE OIL RESERVES. Don't be ass holes, that's important.
@gmcjetpilot There are tons of dictators out in the world now who have killed people and so forth, why haven't we gone after them? The idea of spreading democracy is such a joke. Yes, it is good Hussein is gone but at what cost and why? Many lives could've been saved if we hadn't diverted and distracted into Iraq from Afghanistan because of some grudge from the son of the father who first fought Hussein. "SO WHAT?" well I'm sure the people who fought in the war don't say "SO WHAT"?
@gmcjetpilot Man, you totally accepted the Government's COVER STORY, without a moment of critical thinking. SADDAM was on OUR PAYROLL when he did all those killings. The CIA put him in power to destroy democracy in IRAQ and to attack Iran.. Following our orders, he systematically MURDERED his political opponents.
When he STOPPED supporting our policies and made noises about NATIONALIZING Iraq's oil, we had to take him out.
You can have your own opinions, BUT NOT your own set of FACTS!
Lawrence O'Donnell whines, same liberal douche knob Keith Olbermann was. He WHINES, WE KNOW THINGS NOW! No shit Sherlock! I recall WE (most Americans, most of the free world) was GO AND GET HIM. He is asking the wrong questions. The BIG screw up is how they went in, with ease, but then NO PLAN AFTER THAT. They destroyed the police, military and let the country open to chaos, that's a fair criticism, but whining about how smart you are now is pathetic. I'm no Condi fan, but she kicked his ass.
@mollesjohn I actually think it was 150, in addition Canadian ships patrolled the Persian Gulf and Canadian pilots flew combat missions with US forces. So while Canada never declared war, they did support the war with troops ships and pilots. They did fight.
Condie made a mistake, and added a country that didn't fight. I don't think she did it on purpose, or with the intention to mislead. Therefore, she didn't lie, she made a gaffe/mistake. When you have 40 nations that participated in the coalition, its not unreasonable to misname one or two.
It is truly sad that America has resorted to these second long sound bytes to make a political point. Did you make one of these videos when Obama made his 58 states slip saying he lied? Didn't think so.
@SoccerKozi93 Whether Canadian military fought or not, they were still part of the coalition. Claiming otherwise is like only counting combat troops as members of the military. They equally serve who support those on the front lines.
Iraq was wrong and had nothing to do with 9/11. This was a war for contractors, revenge for daddy, and political gain (easy target). Camden NJ would have put up a better fight. And oil - although that didn't work out. What a shame and mistake.
@champgraz I agree Iraq was wrong. Those dark skinned Iraqis have no more right to free speech or voting rights than Africans do. Those people deserved to be killed by the hundreds of thousands by their tyrannical leader and thrown in mass graves. Communism is the answer, not this voting crap and free speech B.S. I totally agree with you champgraz that going into Iraq was WRONG WRONG WRONG.
Iraq was wrong and had nothing to do with 9/11. This was a war for contractors, revenge for daddy, and political gain (easy target). Camden NJ would have put up a better fight. And oil - although that didn't work out. What a shame and mistake.
@arliewonton Dr Rice mops the floor with this jerk if you watch the whole interview. Dr. Rice knows what she's talking about, O'Donnell is just liberal Monday-morning quarterbacking. And the best part is, Obama is bombing Muammar Muhammad al-Gaddafi in Syria because he is a brutal dictator & will brutalize his own people. It is ok when Obama does it, but when George W. Bush does it, well? The liberal hypocrisy at its best.
Face it libs. She made this fool look just like the ill-informed, illogical, agenda driven, snotty little twelve year old that he is. You will not admit it among yourselves, but you know at your core it's true. Remember, walk toward the light! Keep walking toward the light and you will eventually leave the pit of darkness that is liberalism!
@leestauf : I agree that this interview was wrong. I dislike when an interviewer keeps cutting the guest, no matter from the left or the right, no matter if it's O'Donnells or O'Reilly, in the end it gives more credit to guest for having handled an aggressive interview. BUT, here in this segment, she was trying to pint out that he made a "false statement", and in her argument, SHE used a profoundly false statement herself. He indeed looked like a 12yo cause he should have corrected her on this.
@pommelafleche I, too, dislike the interruptions. I would have had a hard time listening to Rice engage in revisionist history. Chief UN Weapons Inspector, Scott Ritter says Saddam COOPERATED, they found that there were NO WMDs, and BUSH PULLED THEM OUT then lied that Saddam expelled them! See DOWNING STREET MEMOS: BUSH and BLAIR agreed to FIX the intelligence to falsely justify attacking Iraq. YELLOW CAKE - URANIUM ENRICHMENT - ALUMINUM TUBE are lies to COVER-UP this CRIME.
@leestauf When you speak exclusively in rhetoric, it is a neon sign to those observing you that you lack any original thought or unique opinion.
In fact, you don't even have a point, just a baseless assertion. She was right? Why? History disagrees since Canada didn't go to Iraq, just like Vietnam. Then you apparently think we are failing to admit something to ourselves. We've already established she's wrong. End of story. The only other admission must be your own ignorance.
@leestauf how so? The Bush admin were connecting Iraq to 9/11 & there weren't any WMD's, if they just waited for the inspectors to finish their job, we would've found that all the claims against Iraq would've been false & over 4000 soldiers may still be alive. Her claim is so we invaded a country, that cost 40,000+, 4K US lives, & trillions of our money, b/c Saddam shot at our planes 10 years prior and because he scammed money out of the oil for food program? that's not smart that's retarded.
@ERAUPRCWA Wait for the inspectors to finish their job? Hussein kicked the inspectors out of the country! That, alone, adds to the suspicion that he had WMD. Note that I'm not claiming proof. But he had WMD before, and had agreed to prove to the UN that he didn't have any -- then reneged on that agreement and refused to demonstrate that he didn't have WMD. Why should we have trusted him when he said he didn't have any, when nearly all our evidence said otherwise?
I see why Condi chose Lawrence O'Donnell. He let her get away with murder during this interview.

Why do comments need to be "approved" ?

Lawrence was too much of a gentleman:
Valerie Plame Wilsons husband Joe Wilson proved that sadam was not seeking the "yellow cake", hence, the outing of Valerie Plame Wilson.
Sadam Was the finger in the damn, like him or not, for preventing civil war. Until we killed him of course.
Sadam had Nothing to do with 9/11
Just three more points that would have further slammed the lying sociopath.
