@Wtfbbqcream6t9 Its only bad for you if you do it with bad form. If you swing your upper body or if you arch your back to much when trying to lift the weight up you are using bad form and might hurt your back. A lot of guys (if not most guys actually!) use bad form when curling, so a lot of time yes, curling standing up is bad for your back. But if you keep your elbows down and your torso motionless there's no danger. Hope that helped :)
100% agree, you idiots should be thankful that there are others who take time to show stuff they found out and not blame him for not having muscles on his leggs -.- i guess they dont have any on their own ;)
how about you let the mother fucker build the part of his body he wants, im sure if he physically confronted you, your gay little cheetah legs and bird chest would fly off into the other direction
Angel, you are correct. Sometimes when you go heavy, holding your breath (with a slight slow exhale) tightens up your chest & core to squeeze out a few more reps. Old habits die hard and I definitely do not recommend holding your breath.
damn i thought i came up with this movement didn't know it already existed i love this exercise m strength has majorly increased since i started doing it
BTW if i want strenght, do i have to do 4-6 reps with the heaviest weight i can take? or am i wrong? i want to build up strenght and mass can i do it both at once or only once at a tym? THX IN ADVANCE FOR UR ANSWER
As a personal trainer and an avid weightlifter, I agree with compound training for quicker gains and strentgh, but it is a good idea to switch up your routine and do isolation exercises to: #1 keep your body from getting to use to a routine and #2 giving your body a break (you consume a lot of energy doing muliticompound movements), while still getting a work out in.
You build more muscle & strength in less total training time by working multiple muscle groups at once (called compound movements). I don't isolate body parts and work them individually anymore. I used to in the past. You waste time and precious biological resources like testosterone and growth hormone. The only time I might isolate is for polishing up for a physique contest. For the most part leave individual body part training to the hard core bodybuilders and juice heads.
thats a great point about testosterone with some exercises. but i hear some isolation exercises are very good, not just for toning, but mass. i train my forarms like a madman and they're 16 inches. if i do really heavy deadlifts will that add mass to my forearms, for i am competing in armwrestling contest soon. thanks
No, you will not stunt your growth. Just be sure you don't over train each week, get ample rest and nutrition and you'll be fine. When I was a wrestler in junior high school, we trained a lot harder than I do now as a natural bodybuilder.
Thank you very much for sharing your discoveries... I would really like to see more but with like a 75% of your maximum, instead of you doing these heavy loads, I really believe it will increase the educational quality of your delivers. Again thank you, and continue the good work!

Ok, so the guy doesn't have good legs...but he does have good arms, so why don't you take his advice and use it for improving your upper body?
You kids would rather sit on youtube and bitch about his legs, shut up, get in the gym and get your arms as good as this guy's.

ok you amateur bowflex geek. real body builders know if your biceps are bigger than your calves you're a bitch. actlikeyaknow herb.
wojtek0000 2 years ago
why? is that even a fact? produces more growth hormone, makes you bigger?

no disrespect, just wondering why you hold your breath on the up movement of the press? i always thought you should be exhaling at that point.
