I just posted some bear pictures for the first time, in some of the pic's you can see the stumps I use to put the bait in. Really helps to detour the critters just make sure if you use a rock like mine it is heavy enlough to keep the coon out
@jeffz1212 So far so good! I love the size and the picture quality is pretty darn good. It's new to me this year but so far I'm liking it for sure. The first time I put it out here in the vid I didnt have many pics remaining on my sd card so they were all taken up by the time the bears came in and cleaned up my bait. I got it all set up now though in a different location and I hope to have some pics here in a couple days. Thanks!
@fracwilt A friend of mine brings it from down state. Not sure where exactly but the price is hard to beat. I dug this bait out a little today....I like it to set it down a little but when we get a good rain all the clay and hard soil just makes for a big mess of a puddle sometimes. I put a trail camera on that one today....gonna check back in 2 days I hope and see whats hitting it. Fun stuff!
@AntiHuntersLoveMe Here in WI we use a hole log to put the bait in. We will take a holled out log and cut a 2 foot section and dig that into the ground and top off with logs or a large rock. Saves on the critters gettitng into the bait and also you will get really cool pics cause the bears will come in and lay down to eat the bait out of the stump. Just a sugestion to a fellow bear hunter
interesting video so u bait em with granola eh who would have thought we cant bait bears in the north.so i am not entirely firmiliar with bear baiting looking forward to seeing a dead bear at one of your bait stations

@BOHEMIANHUNTINGCLUB Thanks James! I had trouble on one bait last year. These baits were all established by our camp, most nearly twenty years ago and run every year. Every once in a while someone tries to sneak in but after tracking them down they usualy get the point. Wish everyone could just respect one anothers space....we're all out trying to enjoy the same thing.

@2024JayZ Thanks Jason, It's exciting stuff to me. Use to have that same problem downstate with the cows haha. That buck and fawn stuck right close together. There was a mature doe hanging at the other end of the field but she had a messed up knee. It'll be a tough winter for her.
@krazy45cat Carrying an old beat around haskel .45. Pretty heavy but when I pull the trigger it always goes bang haha. Lets hope I never have to use it eh.

that's pretty cheap bait. where do you buy bulk granola? can you dig holes to make the bait harder to get at?
