He tries...I think the only one where he couldn't come down was Toronto. Rumor is the security people said "no." Otherwise, he is KNOWN for coming to the autograph area, even if he has press to do! He's really amazing about it and spends TONS of time...

It was before the show. We got to the arena at about 11 a.m. Archie came out at 3 p.m. But the girls come out first so there isn't usually a lot of waiting.

It depends. Not all the idols come out. Cook and Chikezie didn't come out. So. They can sign at least one item, but it depends on the person if they can take personal photos. Archie couldn't for example but he could while signing.

Can anybody that has gone to see the American Idols concert answer me this question, Are the Idols allowed to sign pictures that are posted on their myspace website? Did any of the pictures that people were making them sign look like they printed them out them selfs? I going to the show in August and I just want to be prepared. Can anybody let me know. Also, around want time did Archie come out to sign??

ya they can sign mostly anything...he signed my sweatshirt, and he signed someones notebook(not a laptop) so ya he probably could sign a picture you printed off the internet :) sorry if this is too late :|

This day he had press at 3, so he was told he couldn't hug and do pics! :( But days he doesn't have press, he takes even longer.

friendfrommiles - from what ive read, the idols sign stuff before and after the show but you have to go really early to get an autograph before and you just wait outside wherever the concert is taking place for about half an hour to get the autographs after the show. But i wouldn't know because i haven't actually been to a concert.

I got there at 12:30-1:00pm when I met him in St. Louis. The people at the Scottrade Center told us exactly where to go. The buses came at around 2:30, and David got to me at about 3ish. It was all over by 4:00 (we met everyone but Carly) and we had time to go back to our hotel and clean up before the concert started.

If you go and they say there is not enough time for pictures, I think I heard David say to one person (glancing over his shoulder at the security guys) that you can take pictures while he is signing. So I would stick your head by his and give him something to sign near you and get someone to snap the picture.

Don't be too hard on the security guy. Just a big o' grizzly bear protecting our little teddy bear. Most of the security guys do a good and PROPER job. Some maybe get a little to zealous but not often. Any of you that have been to this type event know full well how quickly it could spiral into chaos without the security presence. I'll bet all the idols are glad at some point that they are they. BTW nice job with all your videos, the Angels one was very good.

It's so nice how David makes sure he doesn't skip anyone. A lot of stars would probably only sign 7 autographs out of all of those people because they're in such a rush.
