RHutton- I too heard this on an Alt. Country compilation, possibly the same one,did the one you speak of have David Gilmour "Have you ever seen Dallas from a DC-9 at night" ?
Y'all do realize the song is about mankind's eternal subcsoncious desire to return to the womb-the only time we're basically weightless in our lives, floating in amniotic fluid.
It doesn't mean you've got an Oedipus complex,as that is a conscious choice,vs. a subconscious yearning to escape this mortal coil called life.
@RHutton2710...I guess it's more about the song than the group, which seems to have a following...I think it's a somber, yet affecting song I've enjoyed since first hearing it in 2000 on an alternative country compilation disc....I was hoping it would gain some acceptance and viewership on this site, but it's obvious it's going to remain in the mists of obscurity...ah well, it's just music, right? By the way, I hope the ionizing fan is still working....you don't find those everyday, you know..
@toch482: well, they're a bit obscure in all fairness. Besides, it's other peoples' loss if they don't take an interest. It is a great song though. It took me a while to get into alt. country; with this song I was instantly hooked.
@RHutton2710 16 inch oscillating fan, complete with ionizer! Won it at a testicular cancer awareness raffle. Oh, to feel weightless again. I just turn the fan on high and let it blow sweet ionized air into my face, and its kind of like jumping of the golden gate bridge...
Excuse me,I've got Pink Floyd 'on the brain', I meant Jimmy Dale Gilmore. Sorry for the mistake.

This just sounds like a rip-off of the Pogues.

@Donjjo did you come here from RockPaperShotgun? Also, yes. Although I had never heard either band until this hour.
