Burning is right! This shit was on fire and I wasn't even at the clubs at the time. This hot track is ancient history 1991 and I was clubbin in the late 70's and early 80's in NYC. I'm an ancient dinosaur and I can still recognize a house classic when I hear one. this must have had the house on fire!
I HAVE THIS CD BUT IT CRACKED:( GOOD THING I MADE A COPPY OF IT(: ITS A YELLLOW CD AND IT HAS FELIX THE CAT IN IT WITH A DR. IN THE BACK ROUND. THE NAME OF IT IS HAPPY HOUSE. TRACK 1-12 I LKE TRACK 1 BURNING AND TRACK 4 YOLANDA. DID ENYONE HAVE THIS CD???? OYAA IF YOUR WONDERING HOW I GOT THIS CD MY SISTER GAVE IT TO ME A LONG TIME AGO. SHE IS 33 NOW, KINDA OLD LIKE YOU GUYS. JK
Can't believe I have only just heard this tune, I thought it was a 2010 track and I found out it was released in 1991. Shows what a true classic it is. Still sounds fresh.
Woww! In 1991 roxy was DIT mijn favoriet!
Now this is what I call classic HOUSE MUSIC. In my opinion, this is one of the best house tracks made. (not forgetin deep inside by masters at work) It brings back memories of the old skool vybz and raves and not forgetting the two step moves;;;wicked!!!
Top top Tune has to be the best old skool tune around. You cant get better than this. Just makes me think of the old days on acid and shit. Well wicked.
all time favourite, just keeps on growing on me after all these years, superb! definitely those offkey xylophones? that give it that great wonky sound. <3
This song escalates. Just when you think the bass line has given everything it has, it changes, then the haunting vocal takes in to other levels, and the melody is hypnotizing. And over several well placed bass bottoms, on the floor of a cleared out space, when the beat drops back in at 3:07...truly, truly magical moment. I have to agree, this song gets my all time best House track ever vote.
Honestly, I was about 17 and was going to all the underground parties in L.A....91, 92. Doc Martin, Barry Weaver, Steve Loria...all made this song a House classic.
i'm glad to hear that you cant get enough of this tune because it is 1 of the best tunes from that era.....but am shocked that you didnt like it when you first heard it....the first time i heard this on pirate radio i remember going nuts, but i was a young'un back then...also my bro used to play this all the time ((and i mean ALL the time)) and neither of us ever tired of listening to it...absolute class..
Awesome. Fucking awesome. The first time I heard this song was at an after-hours club in the second floor of a restaurant in downtown LA's Chinatown at about 4AM. 1993...maybe 1994...still gives me the creeps. Happy creeps =)
Do you know how long I've looking for this track??...this is why I'm subscribed to your channel b/c it seems you have all the rare, hard to find tracks...thanks man.
This is the tune that made us House and Garage heads - fall in love with Mark "Mk" Kinchen. Its that simple. This is the one that everyone I know at this time was asking who is this new Dj/producer. After everyone was on the outlook for anything that had a Mk remix on it. Or even more importantly a new Mk single.
Together with Maw and Blaze at the time, a year later Kerri Chandler.I just wish for one day we could back to those times. Mk is a House and Garage man that should never been forgotten
Nightcrawlers track Push the feeling on made Mark "Mk" Kinchen the most talked about House and Garage dj/prod at that time in the world. That single reminded me of the hype that went with another House&Garage track called Professional Widow by Armand Van Helden. However, the hype of this single when it came out was huge. At the time HipHop music and Dancehall Reggae(Shabba Ranks) was huge and crossing over main stream.
But Burning was the 1st track that got everyone excited on "Mk" 1st of all
There are two better mixes of this record that Graeme Park used to play around the time it was released. If anybody knows the mixes please let me know. He used to mix Helen Bruner 'Gimmee Real Love' and SSR To be House into the record. This is the best of house music.
He Dj'ed This past weekend at Santos Party House. But when i heard he was going to spin Techno I didn't go.
