  • Burning is right! This shit was on fire and I wasn't even at the clubs at the time. This hot track is ancient history 1991 and I was clubbin in the late 70's and early 80's in NYC. I'm an ancient dinosaur and I can still recognize a house classic when I hear one. this must have had the house on fire!

  • Absolute classic

  • all u that want to know what garage music is...this is it!...none of that speed garage shite

  • Can't believe I have only just heard this tune, I thought it was a 2010 track and I found out it was released in 1991. Shows what a true classic it is. Still sounds fresh.

    Quality!

  • Recorded in Detroit WTF? Marc Kinchen is from the East Side !! Pure NYC/ NJ House.

  • Oh wat een gemis die tijd, Roxi+ It...

  • i dig this shit! its the best

  • Woww! In 1991 roxy was DIT mijn favoriet!

  • top top tune could play n play

  • I was 15 and this tune made me love house music.

@ Prakritipat : B2B zijn geweldig. Af en toe een classic housefeest op z'n tijd doet een mens goed.

  • so was I brother so was I... Cheers

  • Had this on a mix tape by Graeme Park we kept repeating & repeating..Wicked track & love MK

  • Gelukkig draaien ze deze muziek nog in de scene waar ik in leef! 2009 b2b 1992

  • yea thats some tune

  • WOW, what a classic. Too bad , they don't make them like this no more!

Big respect to MK and Alana.

  • @morky1969 check maya jane coles.a lot of soulful bombs, what they say sounds pretty similar to this!

  • funkyfreshwoman,i completely agree, your musical taste is spot on.

  • Now this is what I call classic HOUSE MUSIC. In my opinion, this is one of the best house tracks made. (not forgetin deep inside by masters at work) It brings back memories of the old skool vybz and raves and not forgetting the two step moves;;;wicked!!!

  • Vocals by my daughter Alana - I remember the 1st time we heard it on the radio driving down I-75 in Detroit!

  • That's your kid? Cool!!! Absolutely great vocals on a deep house classic!!

  • fave.

  • Good song...Reminds me of an old Graeme Park mix tape I used to rag that had 2 mixes of the track..

  • Anticipating me, bringing me down... gotta love it !

  • aha!!!!!!

  • haven't heard it for so so so so long, yet it still sounds fresh. a true classic!!!!!!!

  • Top top Tune has to be the best old skool tune around. You cant get better than this. Just makes me think of the old days on acid and shit. Well wicked.

  • all time favourite, just keeps on growing on me after all these years, superb! definitely those offkey xylophones? that give it that great wonky sound. <3

but what's it about? lol who is she burning for?

  • This song escalates. Just when you think the bass line has given everything it has, it changes, then the haunting vocal takes in to other levels, and the melody is hypnotizing. And over several well placed bass bottoms, on the floor of a cleared out space, when the beat drops back in at 3:07...truly, truly magical moment. I have to agree, this song gets my all time best House track ever vote.

  • Honestly, I was about 17 and was going to all the underground parties in L.A....91, 92. Doc Martin, Barry Weaver, Steve Loria...all made this song a House classic.

  • Wow!! Tuneage...any1 think it sounds like a Sticky UKG production??

  • l hated this song when it first came out. Now I can't get enough of it. The bassline is heavy. It almost popped my speakers!

  • i'm glad to hear that you cant get enough of this tune because it is 1 of the best tunes from that era.....but am shocked that you didnt like it when you first heard it....the first time i heard this on pirate radio i remember going nuts, but i was a young'un back then...also my bro used to play this all the time ((and i mean ALL the time)) and neither of us ever tired of listening to it...absolute class..

  • @ the time, I was hooked on "For You" remixes by MK. That was my hook w/ that deep bass and infectious "For You" sample. I love this song now!!!!

  • Awesome. Fucking awesome. The first time I heard this song was at an after-hours club in the second floor of a restaurant in downtown LA's Chinatown at about 4AM. 1993...maybe 1994...still gives me the creeps. Happy creeps =)

  • absolutely the BEST house track ever written. MK at his finest hour. legendary!

  • Ii think I went crazy to this song in the early 90's...and have loved it every since !!!

  • house garage classic !!

  • MK also remixed for Captain Hollywood Project - and those mixes are DEEP!!! I always loved the MK sound!!top guy!

  • that blades dub is top business

  • Do you know how long I've looking for this track??...this is why I'm subscribed to your channel b/c it seems you have all the rare, hard to find tracks...thanks man.

  • This is the tune that made us House and Garage heads - fall in love with Mark "Mk" Kinchen. Its that simple. This is the one that everyone I know at this time was asking who is this new Dj/producer. After everyone was on the outlook for anything that had a Mk remix on it. Or even more importantly a new Mk single.

Together with Maw and Blaze at the time, a year later Kerri Chandler.I just wish for one day we could back to those times. Mk is a House and Garage man that should never been forgotten

  • His M People "Movin' On Up" remix is one that really impressed me. Nightcrawlers was pretty badass, too.

  • Nightcrawlers track Push the feeling on made Mark "Mk" Kinchen the most talked about House and Garage dj/prod at that time in the world. That single reminded me of the hype that went with another House&Garage track called Professional Widow by Armand Van Helden. However, the hype of this single when it came out was huge. At the time HipHop music and Dancehall Reggae(Shabba Ranks) was huge and crossing over main stream.

But Burning was the 1st track that got everyone excited on "Mk" 1st of all

  • 5 stars!!

  • ass9

  • Love love love this track. Oh London club days : )

  • SICKNESS !

  • ohhh yea in my box

  • fantastic thank u x

  • 10 out of 10

  • class track ))

  • this is a sick track, nice vocals in this mix

  • One of the best house track !! i especially love the sven van hees remix !!!

  • Hands down! One of THE BEST house songs EVER!!!!!

  • this is THE version, killed it everytime...was so so fresh and new when first released on red vinyl.

    thanks for this man.

  • There was another badass tune on the other side of that red vinyl. Do you remember it? It was instrumental and very Orbital-like.

  • There are two better mixes of this record that Graeme Park used to play around the time it was released. If anybody knows the mixes please let me know. He used to mix Helen Bruner 'Gimmee Real Love' and SSR To be House into the record. This is the best of house music.

  • I have a fast mix of this on an old tape from my rave days, but don't know who it's mixed by, but it's funky, fast and vocal! Choon!

  • Helen Bruner Gimmee Real Love Slaming track

  • SICK TUNE! big up house music!!!

  • this is the mix. the other side doesn't touch this one.

  • pure class

  • It's THE version :-)

  • top tune,,, do you have the other mix??? on the other side

...you must have, its the same 12inch i had, but someone robbed mine.!!!!

  • yeah, i got the 12" I don't even remember how the other version goes!

  • Are you referring to the track Chubb Rock used in his club version of "The Chubbster"?

  • @harlequinjen yeah I know what getting robbered or atleast "GOT" is like, stupid tweakers got several of my crates.
