  • Rolex is credited with the automatic but in the late 1700's, Abraham-Louis Perrelet came up with the idea. It didn't take off because folks used pocket watches. And in 1942, Felsa came out with the Bidynator, the first rotor to wind in both directions.

  • Just for your reference Rolex did not invent the automatic movement. Louis Perrelet did in the late 1700's before rolex was even a company.
