I could not agree more with codedog1969!!! I wish he finds it in his heart to go back to stuff in Goerge's or Three Days, that shit there is emblematic of my state, no this is shit is good but sounds like pay off or pay day check!!!! (excuse me checks)
ive been listening to him since i was 8 i used to get evry album the day it came out. no i dont even acknowledge him. randy rogers blows him out of the water
I think it's funny to hear people say that Pat has sold out.Pat has grown up and his music has done the same.Pat isn't a kid anymore. He's not writing about smoking pot and drinking beer, he's writing about his family, kids and enjoying life. So please before you cast him off as a sell out think about that. I have been following Pat for a long time and have every album he has ever put out, CannonBall is by far the best, yes his old stuff is good but the man is still the same....
The reason people call him a sell out isn't because what he is singing about, but because his sound has changed. Now he sounds more like Kenny Chesney than his original sound.
Why can't an artist change their sound? Whats stopping you and other listeners from listening to other music. Sticking to only one sound is like painting with one color, let the artist paint what they want. Just my opinion of course, but as a musician I'd hate to be restricted to only one style or sound. I play in a power trio, rock band, and write country music myself as well as Japanese and Latin...why be stopped with one genre?
Whats wrong is that Pat Green changed his song strictly to sell records. he was doing just fine before he did that, he made plenty of $ and lived comfortably with his loyal fans in tx. now he's trying to be chesney with his generic sound that is written by strangers.
man i remember seeing pat in concert for just one canned good.... mustang, i still like pat green and all, but he is now singing with a nashville label doing concerts in New York and playing for Fox & Friends... he has been doing this for alot longer than 2 years... i dont blame him, he just making money...
I've been out of country for 2 years now, with one english radio station that plays shit music aka rap. So I haven't heard any new Pat Green, but I was afraid that he would sell out.

Pat has the same producer for his new album that produces for Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban. That spells SELLOUT.

PAT GREEN = ALWAYS AWESOME.
Sell outs don't live in FORT WORTH. They live in Nashville.
Debate over.
