  • The very word 'secrecy' is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths, and to secret proceedings.

    John F. Kennedy

O-bomb-a, you are not change, you are another George Bush, you voted for the Patriot act, and for funding the war. What ever happened to Kennedy being you ideal?

    GOOGLE: RON PAUL

  • you mean that racist old man who is used as a pupet for the GOP, for someone who quotes kennedy, your supporting every thing he fought against..... read Karl Marxs or learn about democrate socialism in Europe.

All pauls doing is quoting ann rand, but in a more chirstain way.

  • Actually, I now support Jesse Ventura More. I found out Ron Paul is somewhat racist, and supports religion in government. Ron Paul is still much better than Obama though, Obama is doing very little of what he said he would do, ex. Refusing to release the Gitmo Pics.

  • hell, i perfer Ventura over ron paul, i'm so far content with obama, but he still needs to prove himself

  • Vote for Nader tomorrow! The election won't even be close this time, so it's the perfect time to vote third party.

  • Nader has my vote

  • that's a good comment phsyb56. I bet you're really smart.

  • If you fall for a troll's trolling you're not very experienced on the internet.

  • I have no idea what you are talking about. Are you trying to be mean?

    I can't tell.

  • The person who said "Please kill yourself Ralph" said it to get on your nerves. It's called trolling. By giving him attention (replying) you gave him what he wanted-- a reaction. (aka, feeding the trolls).

  • we will decide, for Ralph Nader for a free economy, no bailouts, the era of corporations is collapsing, we will decide

  • why vote for the lesser of 2 canditates when you can vote for Big Brother?

  • Wake up epsilon semi-morons! Your indifference is taken as tacit approval.

  • Im voteing for Ralph Nader.

  • I'd vote Ralph If I'd be an American...

He is the best candidate, pity that america has the fucked up 2 party system...

But what is the name of this song?

  • You forgot to mention that Hillary Clinton (D-NY) defended the constitution, and voted against FISA.

  • Hillary is much better than BHO on Civil Liberty issues. Obama is an empty suit that has no backbone!

  • Does anyone know who performs this song?

  • I have an advice.

Do you want to win from them?

read the book 1984 and read the bible.

    dont be passive, intervein!

keep telling the people they are trapped in a system, that evolves around power!

  • is only 6% of America following the election? Because anyone who is should be looking to Ralph Nader for ethical leadership in troubled times.

  • The polls are fixed by the same corporate media that exludes him from the debates EVRY election. /he neds 10% to get into the google debate, and 15% to get into the corporate media debates It was at 6 % when NAder was at 6 states. Nader is on 21 states now and his position in the polls still hasn't moved up.

He doesn't even gt 6% of the national coverage of the election to reflect the % they claim he has with the audience.

Keep campaigning on youtube to build a virtual grassrots movement.

  • Campaign on Ron Paul, Kucinich & Gravel videos to unite a coalition of supporters of for the same causes as us:

1 ending Iraq war AND occupation within 6 months

2 cutting military spending taking >50% of gov spending when US is in debt

3 certainly not increasing, and I belive all stood for ending Afghanistan war (Nader was against war from start)

    4 no war in Pakistan

    5 no war with Iran

6 no funding Israel's military to pander to AIPAC

7 against Patriot Act & wiretapping

    8 support Ni4D

  • Read the first seven pages of the new FISA law. (Google: FISA 2008) It doesn't apply to Americans unless they are living abroad...and if they come back to US soil the govt has to secure a warrant within seven days. No wonder the bill passed...there is really nothing "bad" about it if you are not a terrorist.

  • Why is it treating Americans that live aroad as terroists.

And the use of terroist is used to freely now on anyone who is a critic of the administration. That suppresses people from free speech in their own homes out of fear it will be interpreted as a teroist against the government, and the basic human right to defend themselves has collapsed under this administration, which makes it that much more serious of worrying of the consequences of expressing dissent.

  • It's a Foreign Intelligence Security Act (FISA), not a Domestic intelligence Security Act. The protections of the Constituion do not extend to foreign soil. (If you go to jail in Mexico for drug trafficking, your American Constitutional rights are worthless). The Constitution only applies to American soil and to "places" we lease like Guantanamo or our worldwide embassies. ("Extraterritoriality"). If you leave US soil, you are fair game for anybody's surveillance.

  • Hey Swampfox - you need to read the entire bill. This bill applies to any foreign calls coming to Americans or vice-versa. I have family and friends overseas, and family and friends that travel overseas. I travel abroad for work and leisure. FISA will apply in these cases. The Patriot Act will cover all domestic calls. Obama voted for both of these horrible bills. If you like your civil liberties, don't vote OBAMA!

  • it'd be cool if jello biafra would lend some of his music to nader...

  • i luv it********

  • Everything about this video is kickass.

  • Ralph Nader is awesome.

  • Has anyone seen the official Denver DNC tote-bag?

They are actually sponsored by AT&T, LOL! Says it all really.

  • Obama is a Constitutional law professor and he votes for FISA?? There is something seriously wrong with this picture.

Vote Nader/Gonzalez for protecting your American rights.

    Best,

    Nigel

    Worcester, MA

  • Not if you bother to actually read the legislation. Suggestion: Read the first seven pages of the law and then comment.

  • Any warrantless wiretapping of Americans is a violation of constitional rights! Why are you defending Obama? Are you in denial od the fact that he also voted to renew the Patriot Act in March 2006?

  • The legislation prohibits "domestic surveillance" of U.S. Persons which is a legal definition of "anyone" living in US jurisdiction. Americans who live abroad are not covered by the Constitution's protections as US law cannot be enforced on foreign soil. The Guantanamo habeas corpus cases are examples of the Constitution's reach because GTMO is "extraterritorial property of the US". I wouldn't take Obama to a Michael Vic dogfight, but when he's right, he's right. Sorry. Read the FISA bill.

  • The FACT is, it applies to Americans and wiretapping lawsuit immunity for Telecom Companies.Sorry bud-it looks like YOU JUST DON'T GET IT!!! ANY WARRANTLESS WIRETAPPING IS JUST PLAIN WRONG! OBAMA also voted for the Patriot Act which is full of all sorts of fun "harmless" things like: giving

the government the ability to detain you IDEFINITELY based on rumor or heresay without tangible proof of terrorist activity. They can search your home, property, financial records, without a warrant, etc.

  • what's the song?

  • It's a song called 1984 by Spirit. This is a cover of the song - don't know who did this version, though.

  • not spam - free speech

  • There is one more thing I forgot to mention in my last post. Think about this: Nader owns stock, the stock doesn't own him. That means he owns the corporation, the corporation doesn't own him. You can *try* to dig up dirt about Nader...the best anybody will come up with is that Nader is "selfish" because he didn't climb the political ranks in a traditional way. But he got more done out of office than any other candidate has done while in office.

  • FWIW, on matters on ANY public figure who downplays the importance of preserving our rights, should not be trusted, period.

A video documenting DOD, the military, spying on meetings held by peace activists as obainted via FOIA by attorney Warner MendenHall. Military engaged in spying is ILLEGAL!

Also, being politically active-I get hacking alerts on a daily basis-today the IP traced back to the Boeing Co. I'm only a citizen activist, what does Boeing need from my computer?

  • Nader rocks.

  • You shouldn't be worried about Nader's 3 million in stocks. You should be thankful of the 20+ million he has used to build agencies that keep you safe.

  • LOL. I love this 'charge' against Nader that people have been posting on YouTube recently:

    "NADER OWNS STOCK!"

Get this.....there are actually responsible companies that individuals can invest in - I own some stock too.

How they try and try to find dirt on Nader. They won't find any. Just ask General Motors.

  • dnc $ at work...

  • A Spirit cover, good pick Ralph!

  • Viva la Revolucion

    Annie, go get your gun

  • It doesn't make us safer; all it does is chip away at our freedom.

You may be fooled by overreaching politicians, but I'm not.

We are not near impending doom from some shadowy figures/terrorists. There is a threat but is not grave to the extent that we should abandon our constitution and right to privacy.

If the government wants to "listen in" then they need probable cause and a warrant.

    Careful, we're losing our country...

    [p.s. Canon in D is great :-)]

  • pachabele: i hope that's sarcasm.

  • If this is a joke, I don't get it, and if it isn't, then it is just sad.

  • Obama recently hinted to Fortune magazine that his strong anti-free trade "rhetoric" during the primaries may not be reflected in his actual trade policy should he become president:

"Sometimes during campaigns the rhetoric gets overheated and amplified," he said.

"Politicians are always guilty of that, and I don't exempt myself."

    Vote NADER.

He won't change his principles whenever it becomes politically convenient to do so.

  • Everyone, watch and share these 3 videos on youtube that are effective in making people think about the direction of Ammerica:

" Little guy stands up to BUSH. (see description) "

" Who owns you Americans? "

" 1984 Knocking On Your Door - FISA - Telecom Immunity Bill "

  • power to the people, damnit. thanks cool vid, nice song.

  • Investing in the future...

    WE the People..

  • really really HOT !!

  • Hillary Clinton read the bood 1984, and thought to herself, "what a great idea! I can achieve this!"

  • Want to fight FISA and get FREE phone service? It's simple. Just act like a loon over the phone to the phone company as you complain about your phone bill. Throw in a few idle threats, nothing serious. They'll listen in to keep "informed" while you feed 'em bs. The feds won't let the phone companies cut you off!

Free phone service for everone! Take that AT&T you bastards!

  • lol you made me laugh

  • remeber when FISA was disscused in that secret meeting of the house of rep. on march 13th 2008 ? watch?v=kB-JGqDukbY

  • Obama is a corporate hack. vote nader!!

  • #23 - Most Discussed (Today) - News & Politics

  • wonderful video!!

  • Thank you for being an alternative to the other "two" people! I am happy to have a CHOICE!

  • Stazi here we come.

In case you don't know what I meant by Stazi, East Germany had the Stazi short for Staatssicherheit listen into people's phone calls. It put the fear of government into people.

If you think why worry because you are not the islamo facists they are looking for, you will see what will happen to government by the people for the people when the government starts abusing this.

  • Well done.

  • Don't rely on Obama to guard your civil liberties - in March 2006 - he voted to renew the Patriot Act, and most rescentely the FISA/Telecom Immunity. This pattern of behaviour should scare the hell out of any one that loves thier freedoms

  • Please watch and share youtube video entitled:

" Little guy stands up to BUSH. (see description)"

Obama and McCain took the side of Bush and the corporations against the little guy.

  • I am not willing to give up my privacy because some Washington politicians along with the media claim an imminent threat from some shadowy figures/terrorists.

We are no where near such impending doom and so therefore I do not think that we should be giving up fundamental American tenets like the right to privacy.

You may be fooled by overreaching politicians in Washington but I and many others are not.

If they want to "tap" phone calls then they need probable cause and a warrant.

  • There is no right to privacy in the Constitution. This "right" is an artificial creation of the Earl Warren Supreme Court. The Constitution (4th Amend)guarantees "security in persons, places and effects from 'unreasonable' search and seizure". That's "all ya get". Read the Bill of Rights

  • The U.S. Supreme Court originally held that the 4th Amendment only applied to tangible things, Olmstead v. United States, 277 U.S. 438 (1928). But later held that intangible things, such as conversations, were also protected. In its 1967 decision in Katz v. United States, 389 U.S. 347, 353, 359 n. 23 (1967), the Court, overturning its previous holding in Olmstead v. United States, held that the Fourth Amendment covered electronic surveillance of oral communications without physical intrusion.

  • So, in effect, now thanks to FISA and the Patriot Act - our rights are nullified.

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." ... Ben Frankin

  • Ok FISA.. No one is listening to you, No one cares... Are you a criminal? A Terrorist? Then no one cares. I learn more about you from you cell phone the FISA ever will. All your information is so public, but you care about this... of all things. I would bet that in your life time. no one will EVER listen in to your phone call.. And if they did who really cares.

  • Nobody cares if you aren't a criminal or terrorist? You're probably right. WE should all drive the speed limit at all times, never litter, never jaywalk, never talk on cell phone while driving (new laws!), don't download copyrighted videos (including the ones on Youtube)...etc. Seriously, think about how many laws you violate every single day. And all these are *normal* citizens. If you become a target because you slept with a Senator's daughter, now they have the power to harass you.

  • Obama has alienated a lot of his supporters by voting for FISA. It could cost him the election if progressives and liberals stay home on election day. Dumb move, Obama.

  • What was he thinking? In one pin-prick stupid FISA vote, any enthusiasm is now gone. So many thought he was so smart. Is this all the product of Harvard-Yale indoctrination? En mass, if you get his campaign e-mailouts, unsubscribe, then call his campaign and tell them why. John McCain, the no-show vote, even worse.

  • FISA is an open violation of both The Constitution of the United States and The Declaration of Human Rights. No member of Congress, The Senate or even the President of the United States has the right to bring this bill in law.

The very act of executing this law is a TREASONOUS violation of International and local laws.

  • It's a question of timing... do you think it's a good idea to go against the telecommunications companies with the upcoming elections ins November... when you rely on their telephone, cell phone and internet connections to support your campaign? Wait until we have a solidly Democratic Congress and Senate and then let's see what happens. The ACLU is suing, there's a good chance it will be declared unconstitutional. Happiness Hacker ~ Atlanta

  • Democrats are not going to reverse this law. This is what the majority of Americans want.

  • Thank God our Congress passed this Bill. You paranoids are nothing more than scaremongers. You'll still have your civil liberties, and at the same time gives our intelligence community the tools they need to protect you from those that want to do you harm.

The Telecoms deserve immunity. They were being used as political pawns, nothing more. Congressional Leaders and Bush knew this was going on, if you have a gripe, gripe at the government, don't scapegoat the Telecoms.

  • The telcoms do not deserve immunity. They broke the law because the executive branch told them to. There are ethical and moral obligations to uphold the law, even if the enforcers of the law are telling you to break the law. That is the WHOLE REASON WE HAVE A 3 SIDED SYSTEM. To keep balance.

  • They did not break the law, this was never decided on by the courts. The Telecoms were just doing what they thought they were obliged to do. Why blame them? They are just being used a political pawns. It's a disgrace when the government "forces" them to do it, and while no one in government gets blamed, you leave the telecoms holding the bag. Government has to take responsibility for their actions, don't blame the telecoms. Telecom immunity was the right thing to do. Shame on Nader.

  • The government didn't FORCE them to do anything. Why did Qwest say "no" and was left alone? Shame on Nader? No, shame on Corporate Executives who make decisions to break laws just because they forget their junior high school teachings about the 3 branches of our government. The executive branch does not have the authority to break the law. Only the judicial branch is permitted to make exceptions in the form of warrants. Shame on the telecoms for not consulting their lawyers.

  • Both telecoms and the executive branch should be held liable. Impeach Bush and remove the spy equipment is all I would ask for.

If you want to spy internationally, then do so internationally in the thousands of American bases around the world on foreign soils. Do not do it in America.

  • The warrentless spying was only done on communications that originated from foreigners. Never was warrantless spying done where both parties were domestic. Stop thinking any laws were broken. Blame Congress for writing new laws, i.e. AUMF and Patriot Act in a way that conflicted with FISA if you have a problem with it.

Telecoms are just being used as a scapegoat to blame Bush. That's just plain wrong. And if you had a sense of justice, you'd see that.

  • Executive Branch did cite law to authorize warrantless eavesdropping - Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists among others. Don't forget, Congress was briefed that this was going on. So the Executive and Legislative Branch knew this was going on and no one had a problem with it until the New York Times broke the story. This program was NEVER found to be illegal. See ACLU vs NSA. So why blame the Telecoms? Cause you have grudge? Well that's not justice. That's BS.

  • Grudge? I have a "grudge" when the USA and the Telecoms are both breaking the law? I have a "grudge" when I agree that the government and the corporation should be punished?

You're damned right I think it's justice to punish them both. Impeach Bush, remove the spying equipment from US soil. Of course, they will need to monitor routing too..I don't want to see the equipment moved to Guam and then all routes go through Guam...

  • What law is being broken.. please tell and PS GUAM is a US Territory.

  • Illegal search. 4th Amendment. The rule is: "Get probable cause, then you can search" not "Search for probably cause."

And you have a point on Guam....so exchange it for our base in China, Iraq, Kuwait, England...any foreign soil you want. You get the point.

  • How many times do I have to tell you DisMan, the courts never ruled that any laws were broken. Congress and Bush knew this was going on. How the hell can you expect the Telecoms to know it was wrong when the Senate Intelligence Committee didn't think it was illegal. If you don't like FISA fine, but blaming the Telecoms is unethical. It's a backdoor way to get back at Bush. Since you can't get at Bush, you try to get at the Telecoms. It's a disgrace. This is purely political, nothing more.

  • jrigeli: The courts are in the process of ruling the Telecoms. In ACLU vs. NSA, a critical piece of information could not be put into evidence because of "states secrets". The executive branch strong-armed...and won. But what about EFF vs. AT&T, which is what this is about.

  • "But what about EFF vs. AT&T, which is what this is about."

This recently passed legislation will make EFF vs AT&T Moot. Telecoms have complete immunity.

  • Blaming the telecoms doesn't hurt Bush at all. I don't know where you think that has any bearing. Bush is done in office in less than 6 months...there is absolutely nothing that can get back at him. I don't know how AT&T = Bush in your eyes.

  • Lots of people think that if the Telecoms lose any of these lawsuits it would be proof that Bush broke the law. What I resent is the fact that the Administration did it, several in Congress knew about it and nothing happens to them. Yet Congress started it. All this new legislation since 9/11 blurred the line as to whether the Executive branch had a right to do what they did. Besides, none of these lawsuits has any impact on the new FISA rules anyway. So it's a grudge thing.

  • I'd rather take my chances with terrorists then give away my civil liberties.

stop being such a cowardif you like living in a country where the government has total control.May I suggest China.

  • "I'd rather take my chances with terrorists"

You won't have civil liberties when you're dead, will ya.

Don't be a fool, this law doesn't take away your civil liberties.

  • Hey coward, theres over 15,000 murders a year in the united states.Maybe we should put the whole country under martial law if your so scared.

The British were bombed everyday during the first few years of world war 2,I didn't see them giving up there liberties.Grow some balls and stop being afraid of the boogie man.

  • Dude, your ignorance is showing. Britian and Europe is far worse(I say better) than the U.S. Very little oversight to wiretapping. London has surveillance camera on every street corner. Do a Google Search on "Wiretapping, European-Style" and read that article from Slate.

It's not a matter of being a coward, it's a matter of being smart. The effects of attacks go beyond deaths, 9/11 devastated our economy.

The Gov't doesn't care that you discreetly order viagra online. Get a grip.

  • @ jrigeli,

    watch youtube video entitled:

"More Than Monitoring - It's Copying!"

Even businesses stand to lose from allowing wiretapping on anyone.

  • Wow your viagra comment was so brutal I don't know how i'll get over it.I also wasn't referring to Europes security situation in present times.I was referring to the fact that they endured something far worse then 9/11 on a daily basis and still managed to go on with their lives.Rather then let the fear of dying in a bombing control them.

And further more I don't live in Europe ,I live in the U.S.A.,THE LAND OF THE FREE AND HOME OF THE BRAVE.

If you have something against freedom, move!!

  • Yes, you live in the USA and the elected officials that Americans chose to represent them have spoken and voted for this law you don't like. In other words, the people have spoken and you lost. If you don't like what the majority of us want, then you get the hell out.

Or you can try getting people that represent your point of view into office. Good luck with the 2 to 3 percent of the population that supports Nader and Paul. LOL

  • Congress has a 9% approval rating. The lowest ever.So I seriously doubt there doing what the majority of the people want. Most politicians could care less what the people want as long as they appease there special interests.

Don't worry your time will come when those of us that care about the principles this country was founded on.take the country back from corrupt politicians and cowards like you. That would give away what generations of americans fought and died for.Just so you could feel safe.

  • Please watch and share youtube video entitled:

" Little guy stands up to BUSH. (see description)"

Obama and McCain took the side of Bush and the corporations against the little guy.

  • Haven't the last eight years been enough of an abomination?

Are we actually going to sign on for another eight year Obamanation?

The man has shown his true colors: His will be the 3rd term of the present Neocon administration. Big brother, Xtian Taleban, Imperial wars and all.

Just say no. Nader/Gonzalez 2008. This is the year.

  • Song is 1984 by The Feederz

  • I feel like Winston Smith :-(

  • Brilliant!

I had just finished nineteen eighty-four (again).

Everyone should read the brilliant Naomi Wolf's book END OF AMERICA.

  • I can't wait to read Naomi Wolf's book. I listened to her talk posted on youtube and it actually validated those accussed of being paranoid of the erosion of certain freedoms mirroring actions in history that resulted in collapse of many democracies.

    Watch youtube video entitled:

"Talk by Naomi Wolf - The End of America"

Also, I must say that this video from the Nader campaign is one of the best vidos for one of the most important issues, as America's turining into a police state.

  • Wolf's book is scary stuff. The parallels that she provides, comparing the last few years with other totalitarian regimes will send chills.

I tried posting this on one of Obama's "official" YouTube videos:

'Already letting you down.....campaign finance reform, FISA, gun control, Iraq, free trade.

Is there any issue Barack won't flip-flop on?

That's why I'm voting Nader. I know he won't change his views when it's politically convenient.'

Apparently he's screening comments now... LOL

  • Her talk in itself was frightening to hear how the censoring the media of critics, to use of torture & intimidation, to increased survalince of innocent citezens, to removing right of Habeous Corpus, have all historicaly been used to collapse a democratic society.

People aren't taking it seriously, but esssentially people can be silenced by intimidation tactics, imprisoned, and tortured on a mear accusation wihout having right to defend themselves since 9/11 and it's already happening.

  • Paranoid leftists!! all around! Nader is a L O S E R. Alway has been and always will be!

  • Minuteman091112, die in a fire you dumbfuck.

  • Please don't respond this way, it's not going to get us anywhere.

  • How would you explain Ron Paul then because he's conservative yet he an Barr are united with progresives like Nader, Kucinich and Gravel on foreign policy and right's protected in the constitution.

  • hold their feet to fire, go nader.

  • 9/11 was an inside job!!! bush wont give up his power so easily cause he knows he might be executed along with cheney, rumsfeld, rice, wolfowitz and rove. they are going to do everything to prevent facing charges and the american people should understand it: democracy is over!!! its over, its over!!! do you think they are going to let you bring them to justice? wake up and face reality, there is no way they will let you do it!!!

  • Nader Paul Kucinich Gravel

    McKinney Ventura

    TRUTH

    Fisa IndyMac

  • Great video.

Grab a clipboard, download and print the petition form, and find a street corner to get signatures to put Nader on the ballot.

If you have been watching the Obama campaign closely, you will know that they cleverly used Progressives with Progressive Speak, and now that they won the nomination they don't need us any more. That's why Obama voted for FISA, says he'll expand the faith based initiative, and is even going for the NASCAR bubba vote.

    Wow.

  • thank you obama! very good job obama! obamaccain, obambush what a democrat! you are not a senator, you are a snake! a devil! helping to create evil! lier! threat to constitution and the people of america! a threat to worlds peace! i wish you will rot in hell with all the other neo cons and illuminaties!!!!!

  • The Nader website directs to article that states:

"It is time to change the Democratic Party mascot from a donkey to a weasel."

Time to vote independent. Vote Nader.

  • "Nader is a wasted vote" Are you really that stupid. Next thing you will be telling me that there really is such a thing a lesser of two evils. When Evil is an absolute term. Either vote for your principles or DON'T vote. Heres a real election for you. Mr Nader against Dr Paul.

Heres your fake election with both candidates bought paid for and gift wrapped - Obama vs McCain. If you vote for either you wasted your vote and doomed this nation.

  • How about Dr. Ron Paul working with Mr. Nader to over throw the Republicrates (or Demopublics) and give the country back to the PEOPLE!!!The next step is civil war if either of these two are elected,to take back our country!! SUPPORT RON PAUL, VOTE RALPH NADER!!!

  • @ sirwence,

    completly agree.

Please watch and share these 3 youtube videos entitled:

" Little guy stands up to BUSH. (see description)"

"George Carlin: education and the owners of America"

    AND

"COULD THIS HAPPEN TO RON PAUL"

Make sure you're not disenfranchised by petitioning for Nader to be on your state ballot, and make sure your voice is represented this election by forcing the corporate media to get Nader into the debates.

  • McCain will bring back the Draft for the never ending wars he wants to create.

  • This is exactly what Hitler and the Nazi-Party did in Germany, wake up Americans!

  • I think it is good that videos like this are being shown on youtube. It brings awareness. I dont want to vote Mccane or Obama and I dont think that voting Nader is a "wasted vote" its people who believe shit like that is why our government is so messed up. We need a change.. we need to vote for a party besides Republic or Democratic.

  • But he said he would have if he were there... I think McCain would have voted twice!!

  • he didn't vote against it. obhama and mccain are just presenting different strategies for how best to protect corporate interests, and doup th e american people

  • FUCK you Obama, you send a clear message to the people.

  • So clear it will be understood as a lie sooner or later.

  • to loopyloupe: Exactly!!! You need to help spread the word to your generation. You are very intelligent. Put it up on your my space page! Let your friends know and tell them to spread the word. Spell it out to them what OBama just voted for! Most importantly: Let them know about NADER! YOu can do something! Thank you.

  • THANK U 4 the encourgament!

Its frustrating but like the good dr.King said "Our lives begin to End the day we become SILENT about things that Matter", I don't have children but I think about the future of all the children I know N I don't want them 2 live in fear or tyranny.

Again, thanks, very best wishes to u N ur loved ones all the way from LOS ANGELES!

  • this is the most well-put youtube video on the nader08 account.

great audio (mixing nader talk with political rock) and visuals (great editing with 1950s-ish clips)

congratulations. much better than the bird video:)

  • HappinessHacker - What?

We have a democrat controlled congress and they just passes telecom immunity. Your democrat candidate Obama just vote for FISA!

Forget the democrat party they are no better than the republicans.

    Support Nader/Gonzalez for president!

  • First habeus corpus,

    then cruel N unusual punishment:TORTURE,

what else, the right to a speedy trial (enemy combatants),

    now the 4th amendment...

let's just throw away the bill of rights, shan't we?

A bloodless coup is happening b4 our very noses N nobody seems 2 care.

What's worse, MY GENERATION (pple born in 1984)seem 2 b under the spell of this piece of crap BObama guy...kills me 2 think about it.

  • @ loopyloupe,

Watch and share youtube video entitled:

"Talk by Naomi Wolf - The End of America"

It validates everything you're saying. Although from your response, you may have already read the book in showing how the events happening in a America post 9/11 are mirroring the steps taken to breakdown many democracies in history for power.

  • Wow, thanks.

I'm actually not a big fan of hers but I appreciate the recommendation.

Peace to you N all ur Loved 1s N keep fighting 4 what u believe in!!!

  • Thought you'd be intersted in it. I didn't know the author myself until a Ron Paul supporter recently recommended it to me but she clearly is an intelligent and brave author for highlighting overlooked truths.

On another note, I really like the MLK quote you've got on your youtube channel. That should be put in a youtube video as it's a very powerful message from MLK and you're right in highlighting we're practicing it.

    Thanks for your response.

  • This sounds like a cover of the late 60s'/early 70s' band Spirit and their song 1984. If so, this cover version ROCKS!! Anyone know who does it and where I can get it?

  • Goodbye Republic and Democracy, Hello Communism and Tyranny

  • communism?

Tyranny's here, but where did communism come from?

Communism is not a political system, its an ECONOMIC system where in THEORY all people have the same resources, payment 4 wages, etc.

I don't think we're gonna have communism in America anytime soon. More like FEUDALISM

  • Well, it was nice knowing ya U.S. Constitution. Oh and you to Bill of Rights.

  • Awesome.

  • I want my rights back and I want every single person who votes to take away our rights to:

    1. lose their job

    2. be arrested and charged

    3. go to jail

Stop f*cking with my country's constitution! At this point, anyone who doesn't DO SOMETHING deserves what they get. Live free or die.

  • WELL SAID,but just out of curiosity, what R U doing about it?

    I'm volunteering 4 Nader...

  • GET REAL GUYS!!!! We're going into major, important elections in November. We need reliable telephone, cell phone and internet communications. Is now the time to vote against telecom immunity? Or would you wait until we have a Democrat controlled Congress to review the issue?

  • Um... we have a Democratic Congress. They all voted for this FISA bill.

  • right, so WHY vote Democrat???? their as bad as the republicans they are 2 sides of the same coin. Neither one represents the majority of the people, they both represent corporate interests at the peoples EXPENSE!

  • I never said vote Democrat. That's the last thing I'd ever say.

    Vote Nader.

  • @ Happiness Hacker,

Based on your videos it might be possible that we're misinterpretting your comments that many of us have put as negative.

    Your youtube video entitled:

"More Than Monitoring - It's Copying!"

is another powerful video on telecom immunity of illegal wiretapping that shows that not only individuals, but businesses are going to suffer. I hope people watch your video as well as it actually will make business people join this cause.

  • I am voting for Nader and I live in Fort Worth !

  • Ralph Nader shows what being a true American is all about. The politicians from the corporate parties and the people who blindly follow them can not understand why he continues to try and be a part of the system. It isn't to win but rather to give voice to the millions and millions who are disenfranchised by the parties of the rich. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK RALPH!!!

  • America... It was a good idea.

  • @ browncoatnola,

It really was. Watch youtube video entitled:

"Talk by Naomi Wolf - The End of America"

She's an amazing authour who expands upon your comment when seeing what has happened after 9/11 compared to the founder's vission, and shows how many of these actions had led to the fall of many democracies in history.

I'm sure you'll find it intersting.

  • Thanks for the heads up on the video. I think she is amazing.

  • Go Ralph!!!

Get to 10% then SHRED Obama and Mccain in the debates!!!

  • This congress is in a race to the bottom for the worst congress ever. Present rating hag the one before the civil war first, the one sitting in 1929 and the last republican congress (2006). This marginal DLC majority is in the running for being even worse. That Obama voted for it ( at least McCain had the sense to duck( is an ominous sign as to the "CHANGE" he would bring to Washinton. Changing the drapes to hide it's ugly inner works perhaps?
