  • TIESTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!

  • in every olympic games the GREEK flag is first!

  • the six colors on the olympic flag are those that appear on all the national flags of the world at the present time

    the colors have nothing to do with the continents

  • @jayare1234 ARE YOU SILLY?IF YOU DONT KNOW STH JUST SUT UP!!!!!WHAT ABOUT QATAR?IT ISNT A COUNTRY FOR YOU?OPEN WIKIPAIDIA AND LOOK FOR OLYMPIC RINGS AND THEN ERASE WHAT YOU WROTE!!!!!!YOU CONFUSE THE PEOPLE WHO DONT KNOW!!!!!!

  • @VAK1908 if you take a look at english wikipedia about olympic symbols (the fourth point "flag") you will see a quote by pierre de coubertin which will answer your question btw one of the colors on the olympic flag is white und if you look at the qatari flag ich bet you find white too! i hope i could answer your question have a nice day!

  • @VAK1908 Calm down...

  • Grande Tiësto en los platos!:)

  • I think the problem is in the name. Why should we have a nation called the United States of America, a continent called North America, another continent called South America and a linguistic region called Latin America? The two continents are on separate tectonic plates that were once very much separated from one another. It is all too confusing and complicated. I know some people are sensitive to the word America, as most Canadians, I could care less about the word 'America'. Create new ones.

  • this is my favourite part of every olympics. so beautiful to see every country celebrated on a world stage.

  • @lostalex77 true :)

  • Yup bet you a lot of people were there for Tiesto. He's amazing. Thats why the music rocked that year.

  • loved when american samoa came out lol

  • I love the voice of the announcer.. She sounds like the goddess Athena.. \m/

  • the atheletes need to start raving!!!!!!!!!!

  • @c1nnabun ahahah

  • This is always my favorite part of the Olympics (yes even more so than the opening and closing ceremonies)

  • does anyone remember the olympics where S.Korea and N.Korea went together as one?

  • @skull16cr 2000 and 2004 only right???There was the Sunshine policy and both countries were on relativly ''good'' relations.

  • @wondermega4ever thanks!! It would be great to see them togueter once more

  • VIVA AZERBAIJAN, I am proud of of my Azeri heritage!

  • these games are a big reason why the country is bankrupt now, so be appreciative people lol

  • 8 Justin Lovers!

  • Tiesto!!!

  • Tiesto at the Olympics... just crazy

  • Tiesto spun live for the Olympics in 2004. Just letting you know, thats why the music rocks.

  • 8 stupid shit disliked it

  • Can't wait for 2012 Olympic !

  • I like a lot the song that starts at 1:28. If anyone knows the title please post it ;-)

  • Tiestoooo!!!!

  • 2:33 WANTED

  • @tripios Hey, that one is "Heroes" of Tiësto, of course. It is in his album "The Parade of the Athletes"

  • VIVA AZERBAIJAN!

  • Why for didnt Greece go first during the parade of nations ?

  • @WDI2008 because Greece was the organiser so in order to comply to both Olympic rules saying that Greece always leads the parade of nations + host nation -as a sign of courtesy- always parades last, the Greek flag - unannounced by speakers- entered first (without athletes) , and the team Greece paraded last.

  • @WDI2008 because they (we) were thr host nation. so the flag went first and the athlets came at the end :) happpy new year

  • @WDI2008

    the protocol says that:

    1)the country that organizes the olympics go last

    2)Greece,as the motherplace of the games,always goes first.

    They did that so that they'll follow both

  • @WDI2008 because they go last. See part 13/14. :-)

  • TIESTO..NR1

  • They should just focus on tiesto the whole time because it's not like anyone else is gonna be remembered ever again and plus it would be more fun to watch him in a no homo way because people walking is boring and I'd rather watch someone do something

  • TIESTO

  • TIESTOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! DJ!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • With this..Tiesto got the best summary in history of music.

  • trance belongs in the Olympics. this just proves it

  • @sekidaigoro I had to laugh at what u said u must be the only person on earth who thinks the 1936 games were the best, when that nazi fuck hitler tried to take over the games and failed u neo-nazi fag.

  • Best Parade of nations music .

  • 4:15 :)

  • You couldn't have brought Tiesto to a better place where people from all over is gathering. I would've been tearing up with so much emotions :D

  • Pyrros DIMAS!!!

  • I love those outfits

  • 4:14 TIESTO!

  • i wouldve enjoyed the olympics if he opened for each year

  • Best Olympics ever!!! Very innovative!!!

  • Saint Vincent and the Grenadines!!!

    Or should that be,

    Ágios Vikéntios kai Grenadínes!!

  • @sekidaigoro 1936 ?? :O o_O are you fuckin' serious ? That was in Berlin with full stadium of fuckin' NAZIs .. That was the worst Olympic Games ever !!

  • @aqu32 I agree, the 1936 games where full of nazi fags who tried to take over the games.

  • What an effectiveness :D.. realize that just 11 representatives of Ethiopia came back to home with 7 medals (including 2 golds) !

  • I love the music part when Angola is walking :) but whole Tiesto set is also very good :)

  • big thanks for this vid :) I have so many memories connected with this Olympic Games in Athens:)

  • Tiestooo!!!!

  • Does anyone know what they names are of the public address announcers? (greek, french, english)

  • I have a question.. in what particular order will be their countries to be called?

  • @skywardjapan greece always appears first, and then follow the rest of the countires in alphabetical order

  • @skywardjapan

    greece comes first and then the rest of the delegations in the alphabitical order of the host nation then the host nation come at the end

    so here greece apears twice in the bigining and in the end

    and the countries apear in the order of greek alphabet

  • I have to say that these Female Announcers at the Opening Ceremony for Athens spoke with Passion, Pride and Love!!!! Fantastic!!

    Heaps of Love from Australia!!!!!

  • @strike1977 which games was it when the nations made the map of the world?

  • @strike1977 I agree there voices are so awesome lol! Especially when they announce the countries

  • @strike1977

    The announcer of the greek names is an actress, Olia Lazaridou.

  • 2002 world cup and this were badass

  • Watching Tiësto leading olympics with his magnificent work, was truly an epic moment and a feeling of revolution for me.

  • la verda no se mucho de musica de este tipo pero lo escuche y lo encontre muy bueno yo tambien tuve la suerte de verlo

  • @CleverCAB No, the 5 continents the IOC recognizes are America (both north nd south as one) Africa, Europe, Asia, and Oceania (Australia and surrounding island)

  • Comment removed

  • @CleverCAB The IOC 5 continents are:

    America (both North and South because it is a subcontinent like Western Europe and Eastern Europe), Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania.

    Red circle = America

    Black circle = Africa

    Europe = green

    Asia = yellow

    Oceania = blue

    These are the true continents.

  • @alfaceandrice America is a country, not a continent. north america and south america are more seperate continents than asia and europe.

    And oceania is not a continent, it's a series of islands.

  • @lostalex77 My dear friend, America is a continent since 1492 well before the 13 colonies. That means that a Canadian or a Brazilian can be called Americans as well. Asia and Europe are 2 different continents, America is a single continent divided in two subcontinents called North America and South America. Just like at any geography book around the world with the exception of geography books printed in the United States of America. Sorry...

  • @alfaceandrice OIC, so when the palestinians are chanting "death to America" they are talking about brazillians and canadians?

  • @lostalex77 No when terrorists, not palestinians, are chanting "death to America" they are talking about the United States of America and you know that.

    I don't know where do you want to go with this, but in world geography terms there are 5 continents called America, Africa, Europe, Oceania and Asia. And yes anyone that was born outside the US, but in the American continent is called American. As I said, just go look for some good geography book, ok? Bye!

  • @alfaceandrice You are not an inteligent person. There are 7 continents not 5. You lose.

  • @lostalex77 There is 7 ... but on Antarctica there is no people constantly living there and America is historically visible as one continent ... Thats why there is only 5 circles on the flag

  • @alfaceandrice Well.. No. Those are just Olympic representation of continents.

    The "true" continents are the seven Landmasses:

    Europe,

    Asia,

    North America,

    South America,

    Africa,

    Australia,

    Antarctica [non inhabited]

  • @g0rsk13g4n9st4 These may be the continents for the anglosphere world. More specifically Britain-USA. Because for the rest of the world people consider 5 continents: Africa, Asia, America, Europe and Oceania. It's not me, it's everybody, I'm not creating it, ok? At least in historical, cultural and political terms these are the 5 continents of the world. Geographically speaking you can even consider Antarctica as a continent. If there were 7 continents there'd be no reason for 5 olympic rings.

  • @alfaceandrice Continents are defined as landmasses. While it's true that people used to identify only 5 continents but that was only because clear definition of a continent didn't exist. North and South America has counted as one continent (Americas), Antarctica was excluded (due to it being uninhabited), and Australia wasn't considered a separate continent but was included in Oceania. Since now we have a clear definition of what continent is - a landmass, therefore, there are 7 continents.

  • @alfaceandrice America is not a continent idiot, it's a COUNTRY. i guess you don't know the difference between Africa and South Africa then?

  • @lostalex77 the world made u believe that your country is like a whole continent but it's not... it's not only your fault that you're so ignorant!

    your country's name my friend is United States of America. America is a big big land with many other countries included in it. It's a CONTINENT!!! I hope i helped you a little

  • @greenglance183 America is more of a cintinent than Europe is. Last time i checked Europe, asia and africa are all more connected to eachother than North America and South America are. try looking at a map! stupid wog.

  • @lostalex77 maybe you don't deserve a reply but i have to inform u that i've looked at hundreds of maps in my life and not because i was forced to but cause i love geography... So keep your insults for yourself and next time find something more witty to say!

  • @greenglance183 and yet you couldn't answer such a simple question?? is north america and south america more separate than asia and europe??? you can';t answer that question because you don't like the answer. you are an intellectual coward. you only respond to questions that support your own opinion.

  • @alfaceandrice you are wrong.My father IS a gim teacher and an athlet so i know.

    BLEU=EUROPE

    BLACK=AFRICA

    RED=AMERICA

    YELLOW=ASIA

    GREEN=OCEANIA

  • @VAK1908 Look for a video called "Sydney 2000 Opening Ceremony Part 07 The Arrivals " and you'll see each continent and it's respective color inside the stadium. ANYWAY, WHO GIVES A SHIT FOR CONTINENTS WE'RE ALL WORLD CITIZENS, LONG LIVE PLANET EARTH!

  • @alfaceandrice LOOK THE VIDEO YOY TOLD ME MORE CAREFULLY AND HEAR THE SPEAKER.YOU WILL SEE THAT I M RIGHT.I AM FROM GREECE AND I KNOW BEACUSE IN MY COUNTRY WE HAVE A LESSON WITCH TEACHES THE CHILDREN ABOUT OLIMPIC GAMAES AND MY FATHER USED TO TEACH IT. I REALY AGREE WITH YOU!!!!AS YOU SAID "WE'RE ALL WORLD CITIZENS, LONG LIVE PLANET EARTH!" BUT WE MUST NOT FORGET OUR CIVILATION AND OUR HOMELAND BEACAUSE WHEN WE KNOW OUR PAST WE DO BETTER ON THE FUTER.

  • @VAK1908 Ok, keep this 19th century thoughts and you'll help a lot........ And about the colours according to Wikipedia you are right. Actually nowadays no continet is represented in the rings. Prior to 1951, the official handbook of the Olympic Games stated that each colour corresponded to a particular continent: blue for Europe, yellow for Asia, black for Africa, green for Oceania and red for America, but it also says that this was removed later.

  • @alfaceandrice I DISAGREE WITH YOU ABOUT YOUR OPINION OF MY THOUGHTS.I THINK THAT IF YOYR COUNTRY HAD A HISRORY AS MINE YOU WOULD BE REALY PROUD AS I AM.THERE IS AN EXPRESION IN GREEK "ΟΣΑ ΔΕΝ ΦΤΑΝΕΙ Η ΑΛΕΠΟΥ ΤΑ ΚΑΝΕΙ ΚΡΕΜΑΣΤΑΡΙΑ[GR]" ΤΗΑΤ ΜΕANS THAT WHEN YOU CANT DO SOMETHING YOU FIND IT SILLY.ABOYT THE RINGS THE MEANING DIDNT CHANCHE AT ALL I AM SURE FOR THAT.WHATEVER GOOD LUCK FOR YOUR OLIMPIC GAMES 2016 AND I AM HAPPY BEACUSE I HAD A CONVERSASION WITH A REAL FUN OF OLYMPIC GAMES.

  • @VAK1908 Well, Albert Einsten said: "Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind." Dan Fried, a US diplomat said: "Nationalism ... is like cheap alcohol. First it makes you drunk, then it makes you blind, then it kills you." Nationalism is a disease that is cured traveling, it is no more than Narcissism. It is not about being proud or not, but being vainglorious and primitive. ---- And yes, I'm a real fan of the O.G. It it helps breaking the barriers that separates people.

  • @alfaceandrice I have to notice you that we invented olympic games.to admire your country,nationalism as you said, is bad when it makes you do racial discriminations .all the staf you wrote me is about the people who are realy "focus on" their country and underestimate the others cultures.This a completely diffenent thng.

  • @VAK1908 How old are you? Do you really know who is Albert Einsten? Do you know what is nationalism, and what about patriotism? Underestimate the other cultures? Come on...

  • @alfaceandrice.THAT I HAVE A DIFFERENT WAY OF THINKING DOESNT MEAN THAT I DONT KNOW ANYTHING.MAYBE YOU ARE RIGHT MAYBE I UNDERESTIMATE THE OTHER CULTURES.IN THIS F WORLD THERE ARE JUST A FEW CULTURES.DONT FORGET THAT THE BRAZILIANS ARE HALF NATIVE AND HALF SPANISH.WHEN WE WERE BUILDING PARTHENONS YOU HADN T EVENTED FORKS! I DONT BELIEVE THAT WE ARE THE SAME ALTHOUGHT EINSTEIN HAS THIS OPINION.DONT FORGET EINSTEIN WAS A SCIENTIST NOT A PHILOSOFER AND DAN FRIED FOR ME ISNT IMPORTAN .

  • @VAK1908 Well, the fact that you are only 14 years old takes me to consider your mental level. Brazil and Greece can't be compared. We have only 187 years old. We are not half natives and half spanish. We're every piece of land of the world. 2 million amerindians, the biggest African population outside of Africa, the biggest Japanese population outside of Japan, 28 million italian-descents, 15 m. spaniards, 5 m. germans... There is even 50,000 Greeks here. That's why our vision is different...

  • @sekidaigoro yes, and the Nazis knew all about greek and roman values, now, didnt they.

  • Tieesto;]

  • tiesto rules.....respect from spain!!!!

  • 4:08 hey buddy, your scarf is upside down...

  • 4:15 Tiesto is like "Thats right! I'm runnin this!"

  • @lifevest1 This is how i always end every single argument on Deadmau5 vs Tiesto or Armin vs Tiesto..or as a matter of fact...Anyone vs Tiesto....Has he played in the Olympics for the fucking world like Tiesto did in 2004?...NO?...Then shut the fuuuuuuck up!!...

  • can u make a beijing parade

  • Heh, I loved the way Greece filled their role as the nation to always march first and the nation to march last this time because of its hosting status.

  • @ZhangtheGreat i bet you im the only guy on youtube who knows what saint lucia is.

  • @NrdsWthGns, to know what it is or where it is? Because there are lots of geography experts who hang out on YouTube.

  • @ZhangtheGreat yeah, its a small caribbean island with a french-african background

  • tiesto the first dutch DJ on the olypics

  • @compuboy112345, he's the first DJ ever to play live at the opening ceremony. Just another of the many special ways Greece conducted its opening ceremony.

  • what is the name of this song?

  • Tiesto - Heroes

  • This is so great to see!

  • Does anyone know the song that plays in 2 first minutes

  • I was wondering the same thing. Probably something Tiesto whipped up from his genius sleeve!

  • por esto tiesto hizo popular al genero trance todos le debemos a este dios.

    TIESTO THE BEST¡¡¡

  • 3.8 billions... i read it out.. Amazing

  • where is the full beijing's parade of nations...cant find it anywhere!

  • tiesto :DD:D::DDD
