  • Your line is to long

  • I use to have a toro that would not start because the string was to long. Zoinks took me 1 hr to figure it out!

  • Reterd the string has absoutely nothing to do with it!!!!

  • That is a painful video. if the rotten thing won't start, try cleaning the spark plug because motors will NOT start with carbon on the plug.

  • Throw it in the nearest skip

  • Your fly is down :P

  • lol i think the strings to long that wouldn't do anythink

  • Primer bulb only transfers gas from tank to carb. It doesn't "prime" the carb. It is actually called a "fuel transfer plunger". Full throttle will not "flood" any engine. Choke? Yes. If any engine only runs a second on a prime, the carb. needs rebuilt. On a Ryobi, junk 'em. They ain't worth putting money into. Get a real one. Straight shaft with starter on end of unit, not in the middle. Ryobis and others only have 1 crank bearing. They are junk. Made in U.S.A, yes, but disposable garbage.

  • I know the problem...zip your freaking pants!

  • "i think it fired"OMG FOR LIKE THE 3RD TIME IT DIDNT FUCKING START

  • haha you have to hold the throttle while starting ? ahaa !

  • We had an 19 year old McCulloch lying in our basement. It wasn't in use since 8 years. I got it out, pulled 2 times and it ran. Amazing engine!

  • below freezing with a tshirt... smart

  • Pise of shit

  • ur fly is undone lol

  • it wont run when you flood it, 10 primes is a lot and 20:1 is really think if your running good oil that's really thick, string length isn't gonna change anything i would hold the throttle open and pull it if it dosnt start then check spark if there is spark start checking for broken lines then if there good then clean the carb if you do all that if will run.Spark compression fuel is a running engine

  • You should never prime them 10 times as this will flood it straight away.

always start on chock, and when it kicks turn of choke..

The fuel mix is 25 to 1. 200mil to 5litre of fuel.

Thats strange whats on that tank???????

  • y would u buy a ryobi first of all and the string wouldnt have anything to do with it starting and ive never heard of someone mixing there fuel at 20:1 i do 50:1 i both my stihls

  • @kxdirtrider85 Well, first of all, I got it off Ebay, secondly, the condition of the pullstarter will affect the starting, since if the teeth on the recoil pulley are broke, the engine won't turn over much, and thirdly, the sticker on the back says 20:1, and so does my other Ryobi which is the same.

  • @MrMoterKid ya but i would never buy a ryobi and i thought you ment the string on the trimmer head so i was like wat r u talking about and still ive never heard of anyone mixing there fuel at 20:1 wheather the sticker says it or not but w.e its yours not mine

  • forgot to add: bad start ups can indicate a lean L setting too.

  • @seasonedtoker The carburetor needed re-adjusting, turned it out another eighth of a turn and it started straight away.

  • just open the thorttle when you're pulling and it'll start right away.

  • @seasonedtoker That floods it if it doesn't start right away, full throttle and full choke draw in a lot of fuel.

  • first of all if u still have the trimmer bye a new spark-plug if that doesn't help ur magnetail the part that has the spark plug wire and goes around the flywheel could be bad

  • Nice shoes mate aha

  • thats okay they are crappy anyways? if it wer mine i would be happy becaue then i could trow it away lol. ill stick to my kawasaki commercial trimmer lol

  • It looks and feels crappy, but it has lots of power, but its not very good on fuel, needs a 20:1 mix, smokes and its very loud, plus its usually kinda hard to start, especially when its cold outside, its never started first pull, the best its been was second pull

  • wow exact same as my fucking ryan brand but my ryan brand is shit

  • Told ya :P

  • I've never seen a 20:1 gas(petrol)/oil ratio for a two stroke engine.

  • Havent you? lots of the older ones here have 20/25:1 ratios, some of the really old ones from the early seventies had 15/10:1 ratios!

  • The oldest that I've personally owned was a McCulloch from the last 1980s. I only knew of 16:1 until I had seen your video.

  • If you type in my weed eater on youtube then i think youll be proven wrong lol

  • @MrMoterKid yeah this are the older 2 cycle engine type which requires 20:1 ratio, newer types are 50:1 just to conform to today's emission standards of most western countries. i personally like it with much oil ratio to protect the engine more but down side is exhaust system easily carbonizes.
