@TheConfessionMovie What Microphone are you using? I invested in an external Sony mic & it's great indoors but at sporting events etc it picks the wind up very easily. So just wondering if your using the built in mono Mic or an external? Cheers

@Greavo For this, I was just using the internal mic. I do have a little external stereo mic also, but didn't have it on me when I shot this. You could always buy a little higher end mic and get a windsock for it, but that kinda takes away from the ease and portability of the pocket cam. Hmm...

@TheConfessionMovie Thanks for the input dude, yeh might look at getting a windsock, I don't wanna splash out to much on a mic, mine was like £30.00-£45.00 from what I can remember. Either that or use the built in Mic at windy places whic h kinda sucks cos I live in Manchester where it's constantly windy lol. Thanks anyway mate.

Did you process this on a PC? PCs usually don't have a fast enough video card to deal with HD so it cannot update fast enough. The 720P looks good, however.

@fdh1004 lol a fast video card lol thats is the funniest thing ever macs have old video cards outdated usually in a PC u can upgrade one the best one in the market is a HD 5970 or a firepro gpu from ati for editing

@fdh1004 What else do you use? Macs have the worst video cards compared to PCs which are cheaper. Granted some PCs have more of a poor card than a mac, but that's only the case if the PC is 5+ years old or has onboard -.- which can easily be upgraded by buying a cheap 100$ graphics card

@miachevydude I shot this at 1080p, but 720/60 fps is much smoother. The 1080 tends to be jittery and sometimes gets the jello effect. For a $150 pocket camera, though, it's pretty cool. I posted some videos I shot with this at Coachella on my page if you want to see more.

@groundon270thedark The zi8 has digital image stabilization, but it's not terrific. Actually, Kodak just released a new model which has all the features of the zi8 and is also waterproof. I think it's called the Kodak Action Sport.

the flip has nothing on this camera... and if your video editing software is even halfway decent... it will have IMAGE STABILIZATION!!!! does wonders for taking out the shakiness like in this video

@trevorh2007 I agree. The Zi8 is alot of fun and a great camera, especially for the price. It does have Image Stabilization on the camera, but it's not the best. I've found that shooting at 720p60fps is much better for what I want to do. 1080p tends to be quite choppy unless it is a nearly perfectly still shot with little to no movement.

@TheConfessionMovie yeah im not talking about the image stabilization built into the camera... decent video editing software comes with an image stabilization "add-on" that you can attach to videos to take away shakiness in videos you've recorded :)

Looks good to me. Shakiness seems to be bit of a problem in all these ZI8 samples.
