Wait which airport is that at 4.17 ?? they look like Qantas planes, it cant be JFK... that actually looks like Melbourne International Airport.... yet Tullamarine only has one runway 16.
@rhettski999, @britishairwayspilot1 is right, it is Sydney (YSSY): it does have a 16R with a crossing rwy 07/25 (you can see it at 4:41, on the right). Ciao!
777 so awesome aircraft Ilove this kitchen ....I have been flying hundreds of hours buss. or economy class on different airlines over Atlantic's or over EU or other countries I never see such on board air food
I always find it hard to land at night... btw.. im doing on the Microsoft Flight sim only... not a real pilot... hahah.. nice to see videos like this...
Great video my favorite so far that i've seen in the series. I especially liked the food part:)) good combination of everything. Nice Austrian flight attendants. Would love to go to Australia one day, but isn't Austrian quite an expensive airline?
Love the 777 i really would love, to fly on board one. That dinner looked so tasty now i know, i must get on board the 777. Question: When do the pilots reduce power to claim speed after takeoff?... what is the power setting and, @ what altitude do they set it. Nice video it's very informative.
@mrgothere It depends on the NADP requirements for noise abatement. In most cases thrust reduction to climb thrust is at 1500 ft AGL. But thrust reduction can also occur at flaps 5 retraction (for example a B777 at flaps 15 takeoff could choose to accel at 1000 AGL and reduce thrust when they reach flap 5 retraction spd). Power setting is listed on the FMC as Climb 1 or Climb 2, with climb 1 being the stronger powered thrust for the N1 or EPR, depending on engine type.
I cannot agree with you more it is an awesome aircraft, I love the shape, the class, the engines Rolls Royce or GE, just everything about his plane is the best! Thanks for you comment
The oldest 777-200 ER of Austrian Airlines is OE-LPA (May 2005).They have 4 Boeing 777-200 ER (OE-LPA, OE-LPB, OE-LPC, OE-LPD).Last 777 was bought in January 2007. So the average age of the 777-200 ER fleet is 4 years.
Contrails...or vapour trails are visible trails of condensed water vapour made by the exhaust of aircraft engines. As the hot exhaust gases cool in the surrounding air they may precipitate a cloud of microscopic water droplets. If the air is cold enough, this trail will comprise tiny ice crystals.
I've been in a few myself, not flying ofc, but the seat configuration is wierd, its nearly impossible to see over the top of the displays. But obviously you can extend the chairs, but its a lot easier to see in the Airbus models in my opinion. Nontheless, its a great plane internally.
Actually..they're called "contrails" Short for condensation. A visible condensation of water droplets or ice crystals from the atmosphere, occurring in the wake of an aircraft, rocket, or missile under certain conditions
it's really a nice video! I did the same flight two years ago! Now I understand which are the differences between first and second class! Obviously I was in the business class! Austrian is a good company! I can recommend you it!
Well done! I meant the beef was well done. Just kidding. Seriously, I love the video and I'm buying it for my collections. I hope to see Philippine Airlines someday. Thanks!

lol whenever I sit in buisness class, I could always hear the noise made when the pilot turns off the autopilot.

Wow, you are right ! that is some serious contrailling!! ..Man it has to be friggin colder than normal (at high alts.) for that intensity !..
zoulation 2 years ago
its normal the pilot active reverse speed before the anterior gear touch the ground? or u must wait when the complete touchdown?
roger82it 2 years ago
if im not wrong, you can apply reverse thrust as soon as the main gear, in this case the 12 wheels under the wings of the T7, touch the tarmac.
heffron91 2 years ago
Yes its normal. Thats just so the plane gets of the runway as soon as possible and less of the risk the plane will overun the runway.
