There's something seriously wrong with this video. All you get is a measly lousy "Like" button. Where's the "fucking-unbelievably-awesome-true-masters-of-metal-never-been-equalled" button??
How the fuck does Rob sing that fast? It is humanly impossible. He along with Dan McCafferty of (Nazareth) and Blackie Lawless of (Wasp) are trully forces of nature and not just human beings. They can part the clouds and the seas with their vocals. My favorite of all time is Dan McCafferty of Nazareth then Blackie Lawless of Wasp then Rob Halford. I can honestly say though that I have never heard a vocalist get to the speeds that Rob Halford does in this song.
Glen tipton is right behind jimi hendrix in musical creativness. every solo he does is unique and kickass!! yes i know other guitar players do crazier shit then the two of them but no one comes up with the genuis they do.. i give credit to dave mustaine and van halen as well though lol
Rob is a fantastic singer but it sounded like he was a bit off in this. Sounds like he's kinda forcing it (causing him to be a little sharp or flat here and there).
heard it first time on a "100% Rock compilation"...i asked my mom "who are these guys"...she said " sounds like acdc" (my mom don´t know anything about music:)
i just said wow, this is the music i wanna listen to...they took me to helloween iron maiden etc. just epic
It was probally this song that made me a MetalHead. Maiden, Sabbath, and Metallica kept it that way. Probally why I also have problems with my neck *headbang* *headbang* ....should see the bad tattoo from them days, eh?
@bosoxyaz8 hellyeah!!..i saw them on the defenders tour and it was great!!!..also painkiller tour...and then with ripper in 98....just amazing songs and band!!
@666RiffsOfDeth666 ... I bought the vynil of this album, in the same day of bosoxyaz8, and the vynil of 1984 of Van Halen. The next week I come back at home with the vynil of Disillusion (japan version) of Loudness and WASP of W.A.S.P.
@bosoxyaz8 yep.. Halford can only sing so much now and hitting those high notes is killer for him now...although he's still singing...that says alot !
i really like listening to all kinds of metal , from the 80's till today and i could hardly tell what band is my favourite....but it came to me a few days ago that it's definitely priest....my favourite and THE BEST band ever.....
Yep. No comparison to any little bitch today...watch the Deftones "Hole in the Earth" live and laugh...they can't cut SHIT live...Priest???, oh yea...THEY can do it all. No BS, they are absolutely real...
Copy that...this could be the official JP anthem. Rob Halford is basically a well trained, disciplined opera singer, immersed in leather, sweat and a relentless onslaught of high energy molten british metal power!! I've seen them live and I could hear his voice soaring out over the deafening wall of sound will perfect clarity and precision. Absolutely the best of all time!!
Hey what the f is he saying right after the chorus and the guitar solo. I cant understand a word. he says two lines real fast i could never figure out what those words are.
@rockchris3d the song is raining blood the album is reign in blood and this song beats the crap out of it dude defenders of the faith was an amazing album alltogether
@Roachenator Axl Rose far from sucks. He has a far more aggressive style than Rob, Rob has more range. Rob's had his bad nights, Axl's had his. They're both Gods.
@Cyanarchy Even in his prime Axl cannot be compared to Halford, Also GNR are way overrated I mean to this date they have just released 6 albums, JP have more than 6 Albums which are instant classics.
@pcdd11pj Axl is in his prime right now, and Halford just keeps getting better as well, why can't you just accept that they're both extremely talented musicians?
@pcdd11pj - the only ones you can legitimately compare Halford to are Robert Plant, Ian Gillian, Dio, Meine, and Coverdale - he's up there with the best of the best.
Brian Johnson, Bon Scott, Dickinson, and (to an extent) Hagar are the next rung - extremely good, but not great. That is my verdict.
@pistachioguy Couldn't agree more with you mate, There are only a few singers that are at par with halford and Robert Plant, Gillan, Meine, and Coverdale are certainly up there along with Glen Hughes and King Diamond.
