yeah i have read the first 3,

the first one is about the training the spartans get/the begining of the war with the covenant and is quite interesting.

the 2nd one is basically a description of the first game so (ok but not good)

The third book bridges the gap between halo games 1 and 2...not quite as good as the first but still worth a read...

and im just staring the fourth so cant really comment on it....

the forth has basically nothing to do with any of the movies its about the training of a new generation of spartans on a new planet called onyx which turns our to be a planet sized factory made by the forerunners. still not as good as the 1st in my opinion but still pretty good.
