  • TERRIFIC! I'm learning this tune now, and there are different published editions with slight variations. Mrs. McTier's version is consistent with the version I'm learning to play -- and she emphasizes the sentiment and the story within the tune without becoming sentimental! Way to go Mrs. McTier -- this is great! THANK YOU!

  • Thank you sooo much for posting this!! My piano teacher told me to create a story for this song to get me more emotionally into the song, but I'm not very good at story-telling. May I use the story and embellish it a little to give to my teacher? :)

  • Nicely played and loved the explanation - hope I can still play that well at that age - haven't got too long to wait LOL - arthritis is a problem. My Mum learnt the Melba method from a pupil of Dame Nellie Melba. She's 87 and while frail still has a good voice. I actually thought the sound quality was OK possibly the piano needs a tune but congratulations anyway. Piano is one of the hardest instruments to record. Have been listening to all the versions on UTUBE of this lovely piece.

  • very beautiful. Thank you.

  • There really weren't any mistakes. If you look through the music and play the piece, you'll see that she actually played this quite well.

The sound quality on this movie was pretty decent, too.

  • he is is 84 years old lady

  • @iheartgossipgurl do you play piano? or "genuine7160" either? do you play this song? it is _extremely_ hard to get the voicing perfect and for an 84 year old lady, I think it's pretty good. also the mistakes are few and barely noticeable. didn't your mom ever tell you not to say anything at all if you didn't have anything nice to say?

  • Wonderful! I am currently working on this song, and I really like the way you explain the emotion and character of this song.
