  • Mr. Livgren should come clean about who wrote what. As a Christian, I would think he would know - The truth shall set you free.

  • @timetobetruthful Also Carry On beginning lyric was taken from Journey when both groups toured together. A lot of legal question marks about who wrote the songs he and Walsh has been credited for. As you mentioned there were no legal laws protecting original songwriters at the time when a lot of Kansas songs were released.

  • News About Kerry's Work...

09/20/09: As of this date, Kerry has sufferred a massive stroke, although he is currently very well and improving daily.

CD orders are being filled once again. Look to this site for any further news. In closing, thank you for your patience and concerns.

  • if you judge someone before you know them you throw away any chance of understanding them so dont judge a book by its cover read it first and understand it them make a judgement so if you dont know kerry livgren then whats the point of slandering him on a web site? When all youve seen of him is the cover?

  • I have never heard Kerry say anything bad about the other members of Kansas. I believe he is a very sincere man. I think he says what he means and he means what je says. What more could you ask?

  • You need to read Kerry's book "Seeds of Change".

  • @ruthee12 Get over himself? Huh? If there's one guy that ever made it big in rock music and remained humble, Kerry is it. Your comment is goofy.

  • My Parents used to go to the same church as he did and he taught my grandma's sunday school class. my dad and my uncles were gonna be back up singers on one of his records but lightning struck the house and somehow it all was desroyed...

  • This great man is a true artist. Can you believe how he re-works pieces he has released years before. He must listen to these older works and just hears that he can make them better. I had a father like that. Watching the life of great artist can be inspirational.

  • Kerry's nephew has a couple of videos on youtube... he's one of my friends.

  • Dean guitars are very nice....I should know, I own one!!! rock on!!!

  • Your and idiot getchasumm.

  • I believe when Kerry left Kansas, Steve wasn't even in the band.

  • Low attention span, Kerry left to pursue his own career in music and he still works off and on with Kansas. John Elefante was the lead singer when Kansas split (1983). Kerry has played at a live show (1992) and on Somewhere To Elsewhere (2000). getchasumm, is everyone who was a in a rock band Satanic just because they were a rock band? I've heard that stereotype often. My mother once told me that those religious punks who currently bash gays once ran a crusade against rock music.

  • all material success is devil worship.Success is when you know, what your doing is for the good of mankind and the earth.Making nice music is good, but all the egos it builds,is bad.:( im fukn tired good night ill see you mothe rfukers tommorow.

  • I have been following this great man since 1974 and for the first time have heard his speaking voice. He is a great role model for all young musicians. I made music my career because of his influence.Kerry you have touched so many lives.

THANK YOU ! Thanks to theraptors79 for putting this on.

  • god i met Kerry Livgren today, he was at our school talking about the band and everything they went through, it was really interesting. He is the nicest person EVER! He's awsome.

  • Yeah, Kerry actually goes to my church, and he's really good friends with my dad. He let me see his studio, and it is freakin sweet! He's got all the platinum albums and stuff like that...he has probably 30 or 40 guitars too! He's and awesome guy though and he definitely doesn't act like a big star.

  • he's also one helluva guitar player and songwriter!!!!

  • his son goes to my school lol im a freshman (it sucks) and hes a senior but he doesnt play guitar or anything lol. and kerry actually lived right behind my grandma across a field. man i wanna fucken meet him.

  • A down to earth guy, I have met him several times. We are practically neighbors, he lives about 5 miles from me. My first "Kansas" concert was in 1975 when they were touring with Bad Company. Been to several Proto Kaw concerts, great music.

    Carry On!

  • she needs to get back to the porn shoot LOL

  • That man has one fiiine walrus moustache.

Oh, yeah, he also started one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

  • All women are idiots, isn't it obvious?

  • He should forget Proto-Kaw and get back to Kansas. Kansas looks and sounds like the real deal and PK is like a garage band.

  • i think proto-kaw is a christian rock band....i know its kinda lame for him but him and the band kansas jsut have completley different lifestyles hes more of a family man now he has a wife and kids and all that shiz. i saw kansas at verizon ampitheatre in KC like a month er to ago and he wasnt there :(

  • What a treat to find this. I met Kerry at a NAMM show in 2004. Thanks from Kansasfans (dot) com

  • Odyssey into the minds eye....

  • Can you cut all her speaking parts out. What an idiot. She had to look at his name tag to see who he is. Look at her eyes glaze over when he mentions Kansas. Good time to preen your hair, bitch. But I agree it was nice to hear Kerry.

  • Kerry has wrote some incredible and amazing lyrics and music. he is definitely genius category :)

  • Seems to have his head screwed on straight. Keep rockin'.

  • Kerry Livgren is awesome!

  • glad to be on e of the millions of viewers watching my hero talk about his career and free time... and to be the first to comment
