my cousin use eyelid glue and she live with me so i can see the difference. Not only have her eye's seem rounder and bigger , her eyes acctually look more alive rather than having mono eyelid . not tht i am encouraging but i dont think there is anything wrong with wanting to pretty .

i am one of those asians born with hooded eyes and i use tape. yes i like that my eyes are bigger.. but my MAIN REASON is because it makes makeup application MUCH EASIER!! how frustrating is it when your eyeliner smears all over your upper lid no matter what you do, no matter what product? it's a nightmare! fixing my lids into doubles helps my liner stay INTACT and PERFECT the whole day!

Everyone has their flaws and people try to hide them. It cant be helped. It's the persons choice if they want to change something or not even if it's only temporary. Hi, I'm white and I wanted to agree with everyone saying that double eyelid glue/tape doesn't make people look white nor does it mean that the users wish to do so. Hell, I use it because I have droopy eyelids and its hard to wear makeup, I look tired, and I have this sad scowl all the time.

Hi, I'm white and I wanted to agree with everyone saying that double eyelid glue/tape doesn't make people look white nor does it mean that the users wish to do so. Hell, I use it because I have droopy eyelids and its hard to wear makeup, I look tired, and I have this sad scowl all the time.
@caseycass - I agree, its about looking younger not looking like another race.

i just bought the koji eyetalk and im a bit disappointed... it smells like really strong hair dye and it also pulls on your eyelids so it's hard to close your eyes LOL oh well! it works okay :\

@bigheadrhino Actually, I believe it came from the ideal in many parts of the world that big eyes are associated with cute things such as animals and that humans tend to find big eyed things cute. Anyways in the very early days when asians "encoutered" white people they portrayed them as "big eyed" now whether or not thats why "asians" want big eyes today it just the fact asians wanting to ALTER their eyes (which is unsafe/dumb imo) its because its cute. Thats it in my whole hearted opinion.

@SecretRiddlle i agree. the true standard of beauty is being confused with the "white" standard of beauty. people fail to realize that white aren't as "beautiful" as people think. a lot of them have plastic surgery and use makeup to hide or enhance their features. the only thing they have, which aren't many, are blonde hair and different colored eyes. that's unique and makes them somewhat appealing. but the thin, white skin...the bulbous noses, the thin lips, and flat,dull hair makes for bleh:D
