The good thing is, that to it is still interesting and there is some hint of character to the ball.

Yep, the background was drawn very fast and not thought through. At that point I was trying to get the actual motion of the ball right. It would of been turned into a moss-covered boulder surrounded by fog if developed any farther.
The face on the ball represents endless optimism at me beating this animation program, hehe.
What would you have expected from the ball if the face wasn't there?
