@LittleJossieN Actually, they're not. You have to pay for hospital fees when you give birth, buy a crib, buy clothes. Buy formula. Pay for school when they get older. And basically, contribute you're WHOLE life to them. Sure, reborns are a bit pricey, but they're kind of just for show.

@lodgecookie I know it seems confusing, but maybe you could ask about it w/out rude remarks & profanity. I am a 38y/o woman and I have multiple disabilities and my income is very low. I had to have a hysterectomy due to continuing "plumbing" issues. I can't have children. I also can't afford to buy one of these dolls, but I have bought other, less expensive dolls similar. I was hurt badly when I was a newborn, so, for me, holding/rocking/singing to my doll is comforting. Don't be so harsh.

I try to make them look very newborn. Most newborn babies squint their eyes when they are first born because the lights are too bright. Even kittens and puppies squint their eyes after birth. Everyone else makes wide open eyes on their baby dolls,,, to me this says that the baby is older and already used to the bright lights. Look at some very newborn babies eyes to see how squinty they are.
