  • @DamnImhigh76 Keep feeding me or go away. You are now boring me! Keep sending me angry messages behind your computer or go away!

  • Randy Rhoads tip of the day: Don't bend with one finger!hehe

Thanks for sharing this man, PURE GOLD!!!

  • It's too bad there is not more footage of rhoads just jamming

  • Comment removed

  • spending five seconds with this man would make me better than dimebag darrell

  • @THEFLYINGREDNECK no it would'nt. a teacher doesnt make you better, a teacher shows you how to use what you already have... idiot

  • @DamnImhigh76 And teaching something that you already have on how to do it makes you better.

  • @THEFLYINGREDNECK go drink another natural ice beer while driving around in yer pick up truck dude.

  • @DamnImhigh76 Plenty of rednecks accomplished more than you have. Example: Jeff Foxworthy.

  • @THEFLYINGREDNECK lol silly hillbilly

  • @DamnImhigh76 Redneck, not hillbilly. You just proved your lack of intelligence with that comment. Thank you for saving me the trouble of proving your stupidity.

  • @THEFLYINGREDNECK nah you're a hillbilly, and a dumb one at that... sucks for you bro

  • it's cool getting to hear his voice and everything but it sucks that it's a private lesson. :( who wouldn't kill for clinics and a bunch of DVD's full of Randy Rhoads lessons? would be better than being stuck with the void.

  • TREASURES FOR EARTH.

THANKS FOR NOT USELESSLY HORDEING THEM.

  • Im friends with Max Norman. Author Joel McIver just released a new book called CRAZY TRAIN The High Life and Death of Randy Rhoads!

  • i love this blues riff i use it when ever i warm up for guitar

  • damnit i maybe 15 but i love his playing he was such a genius his solo were blistering idk if theres a simple rr solo today hes still untouchable

  • i would pay a billion of dollars just for 5 minutes of lessons with him

  • @ryudragon12 - everyone with ears would pay more than ten times that just to have him back on earth...well, we would if we had it.

  • @ryudragon12 do u have 5 billion dollars? cause if you you would probably be able to clone him

  • Randy would hold his pinky and all other fingers out straight when he played at his fastest. Possibly a bad habit, but he's still my favorite guitarist.

  • Can anyone spell correctly these days? All you punks spell like you're texting, so ignorant!

  • :57-1:27 hahaha If you get in the habit of this, it's all that lick will do...get in the habit of this...

  • who ever this student is,,,was and is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooLUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!when i was a kid, i used to tape my lessons too,so i could go over them later, this is PRICELESS!!!To you who posted this, THANK-YOU!!!-GOD BLESS!!! EAR

  • i would give a left nut to have this much time with RR... could you imagine it today.

  • who was he teaching

  • What are they tuned to?

  • WOW, so awesome. He is still one of the best musicians that every lived. His solos are still seen as some of the best ever created. To be able to take lessons from someone of his ability would have been epic.

  • I was 12 when Randy died and I was just about to start listening to OZZY. I luckily had a wonderful uncle who introduced me to Floyd, Boston, Ozzy, and everything in between. My very first concept album was Dark Side of the Moon. I remember buying Tribute on cassette when it came out. I wore out the tape I played it so much. The outro of Tonight, to me, is Randy saying goodbye.

  • @valkour22 what youre hearing is the student...

  • @valkour22 how about not being a douche?

  • @valkour22 Even though you are clearly a troll, I shall give you a reason why nothing flashy is happening.

This is a LESSON, so Randy can't go into any 5 minute blazing solos and say "Now repeat that". :P

  • randy rhoads is a one best guitarrist of the world

  • Could you imagine being able to tell people you took lessons from Randy Rhoads ?

That is just the ultimate, R.I.P Randy

  • You people can all argue what he studied, & genres, but his Mom, Delores Rhoads still has a music school called Musonia School Of Music, North Hollywood, California & is still open & he taught there & his Mom taught as well. Randy studied all forms of music, I know this 'Cuz I know his Bro Kelly (Way cool & a great Musician) & several other people that taught there! Generes meld, but RR studied everything & loved music & concentrated on classical music. This was probably recorded @ Musonia. FYI

  • anyone knows where can i get it with better quality???

  • "Like I said, ya suck"

    erm

  • why do the best have to die!? Randy,Jimi,Cliff,Dio,Dimebag, etc.

  • @MRec1124 cliff wasnt at all the best

  • @randyrhoads1028 hes my favorite bassist

  • @MRec1124 well....he wasnt really ''talented''

  • @MRec1124 to pay out to Lucifer the deal they have made..

  • when was this recorded?

  • Amazing stuff...priceless!

  • what id give to have lessons. :(

  • i wish Randy Rhoads taught me to play guitar :(

  • @Shenanigasm I wish randy was fucking alive man!

  • what I find amazing is that, even though Randy was the greatest guitarist in the world, whenever he was on tour, he would find the best classical guitar teacher in the region and take lessons with him! This shows that he wasn't one of those guys that says 'I know everything there is to learn', quite the opposite, he was like 'I can't be afraid to learn new things'

  • Am I the only one who doesn't think this is Randy Rhoads giving this lesson?

Disclaimer: I've only listened to part of Pt. 1.

  • @bpd111 Bro.. that is 100% sure Randy Rhoads talking .. so I would say he IS giving the lesson...

  • Man, what I would give to have him teach me for five minutes....

  • when i clicked on this vid i thaught: SHIT! i could be disrespectfull bieber fan who rickrolls us with a damn justin bieber song but it wasnt

    Rock For Life!

  • is randy giving the lesson or recieving a lesson here? what is this?

  • @panterajoey Hes giving the lesson. Rhoads used to teach a lot

  • There will never again in this lifetime as a man like Randy Rhodes. It was a devastating day when he died. Rock and Roll was never the same again. :(

  • randy should have showed this guy the major pentatonic or the 7TH scacles

  • stop playing while God is talking!

  • randy can play any style of music and it will sound kick ass dam i love these vidios

  • he is easily my favorite metal guitarist of all time. so much soul. with out him, metal guitar wouldnt quite be the same.

  • @nickfromdtown1992 i know dude. he's the only player that mixes technicality and emotion perfectly

  • @nmillwater33 i agree

  • @nickfromdtown1992 rip randy rhoads and dimebag

  • who's the genius who recorded this (i dont mean that in sarcasm) cuz his lesson is being watched by about 45,000+ YouTube viewers lol.

  • 6:34pm Friday (CDT)

    did you ear that(R-R)

  • This is priceless. Thank God this guy recorded the lessons. Very, very cool.

  • possibly the best neo-classical metal guitar player ever

  • @acdcfan7676 not at all, how about the best guitar player of all time, yes...

  • @acdcfan7676 well he pretty much started it, so he should be

  • @acdcfan7676 not possibly, IS

  • @acdcfan7676 no, possibly the best guitarists ever

  • @acdcfan7676 Possibly the best guitar player ever.

  • "Dude, I want to join your band"

    "Are you good?"

"Randy Rhoads taught me to play."

    "....You're in."

  • Very old but thank god this was recorded

  • anyone know who Randy's teaching???

  • @nathanlikesstuff: he's teaching a guy named frank.

  • @frankitellu LOL ;)

  • ok u guys are idiots...metal is a sub genere of rock ,rock was made from blues , country jazz and etc look it up ...so if u call metal rock n roll then its perfectly fine or vice versa

  • @axl5269 actually classical is just a part of the beginning of metal as blues.

  • @axl5269 wooooaaaaaaaahhhhhh metal is absolutely NOT a sub genre of rock. and rock didnt come from country either. and just little jazz. moosttly blues with distortion. but not disagreeing with jazz. not country.

  • @SeanTheReptileGuru yeah it is a sub genre of rock n roll

  • @axl5269 - LOL.

  • @axl5269 metal rules

  • @axl5269 yup. actually, blues came from classical music. then country, jazz, and rock n roll derived from blues, then metal and punk and all that stuff came from rock. but i love how in randy's playing there are classical licks and stuff in it.

  • @axl5269 you put way too much thought into this (especialy for having no brain!)dont take the fun out of music you dim wit, just shut up and listen to your "blues" or free form jazz ,whatever it is that you feel is cooooool.

  • @mdskewes rock came from blues and jazz metal came from rock soooooo yeah...

  • @mdskewes rock came from blues and jazz ,metal came from rock soooooo yeah...

  • @axl5269 well its not vise versa.. all metal can be considered rock but not all rock can be considered metal...

  • @axl5269 Sub genres of Rock are like Soft Rock, Hard Rock, Funk Rock ect.

Metal is a genre if its own- but they are basically brother-genres, and Metal can't be a subgenre anyway if metal has subgenres of its own (thrash metal, death metal, metalcore ect.) METAL IS METAL, ROCK IS ROCK. Both are awesome.

    METAL FOR LIFE \m/

  • @axl5269 spoken like someone who only listens too the radio

  • @axl5269 randy is his own genre

  • @axl5269

exactly kids these days dont know shit they think its all about screamin n breakdowns -.- (comin from someone who is 18 n enjoys it but still loves the older stuff)

  • These are guitar lessons for the whole world.

  • can like sombody email this to me i want to download it i mean if its from a private collection i understand but if your up to sendin it to me than plz

  • google randy rhoads . tk

  • it is great to have this now!!!!!!! dont you think we can all take a lesson here

  • Hendrix was Rock N' Roll, Rhoads was Heavy Metal

  • Actually at the time (80's) there wasnt much difference between rock n roll and metal. AC/DC and ozzy both are often referred to as "heavy metal" but notice that they both insist on being called rock n roll. at concerts ozzy will shout 'ROCK N ROLL!!' and 'ARE YOU READY TO ROCK N ROLL?!?!?!' and etc. hendrix is definently considered rock n roll but randy can be too. of course they are different styles of rock n roll;blues and classical, but they are still basically the same genre.

  • @RandyRhoadsIsGod1 no. metal may have sprouted from rock, blues, and classical, but it certainly isnt a subgenre. it is it's own in itself. this is because it has dozens of its OWN sub genres. so according to you, death metal and black metal are sub-genres of rock n roll. hmm that makes sense. cannibal corpse and rolling stones.

  • @SeanTheReptileGuru notice that i said "at that time" referring to the 80's! i didnt even say anything about modern music! in modern day, and somewhat the 90s, of course these arent subgenres! i didnt even say it was a subgenre, i said that in that time they were like the same genre: hard rock/heavy metal (two different names for one Genre). have you ever seen that metal show? thats how they refer to the music they talk about.

  • @RandyRhoadsIsGod1 TMS is my favorite show. their slogan is "the place for all things hard rock and heavy metal".

    they separate them.

  • @RandyRhoadsIsGod1 and i don't really remember what you said but axl5269 is an idiot.

  • @SeanTheReptileGuru sakacacaroache??

  • Is this randy giving or taking a lesson?

  • @MetalVinn I don't think Randy took to many blues lessons, he only took classical lessons

  • Yeah that makes a lot more sense

  • Randy's playing rhythm and the other guy is practicing lead.

  • in my opinion jimi was the best of the 60s

and randy was the best of the 80s.

  • Randy and Hendrix? Apples and oranges my friends. Different times and different contexts of what made a guitarist great. Randy had a great technical ability and feel(soul) for heavy metal. Jimi had a great technical abilty and feel(soul) for 60's era blues inspired hippie music. You can love a 1968 Camaro and also love (name your personal favorite modern kickass car here).

  • Everyone dwelling on that question should read this.

    mwadevilg sums it up perfectly

  • Hendrix was the best...and then God created Randy

  • @ME7ALLICA14 stfu & gtfo

  • FOr those of you thinking hendrix was better than Randy need to listen to Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madman

  • *Sarcastic* OH REALLY?!?!?!?! You should also try listening to his other albums with Ozzy.

  • I have, we are talking about Randy, not everyone else.

  • No offence to anyone ( I love Hendrix), but Randy was a lot better guitarist in everyway than Hendrix.

  • hendrix was soulful - rhodes was articulate.

  • hendrix was a innovater thats why he is basicly a legend. yes every legend has there own kind of style. if were comparing randy had better ability than hendrix. people can say hendrix is better all they want but hendrix was from like the 60's and randy was from the 70's and 80's. guitar has change over the years and thats because of people like hendrix. this is about the ability to play the guitar. randy just knew more about music and had more knowledge.

  • Well said. R.I.P Randy Rhoads. Such an inspiration!

  • You guys need to all stop saying one guitarist is better than they other Yes there are alot of guitarist out there that i would consider legends like Hendrix,Dimebag Darrell,Randy Rhoads,Angus Young,Slash,EVH, and alot more and iv came to the conclusion that i don't have one main guitar idol i just have a group of favorites randy rhoads said that before and it makes sense every guitar legend is specail in there on way they may not all play the same or as fast but they are all unique

  • wow the overal opinion is hendrix is better because he died and did lsd which enhanced his playing...wow randy didnt need all that and he can play circles around hendrix

  • Now thats a good guitar teacher, not just cause he's Randy Rhoads, because he calls you out on your faults, tells you what to do, then gives you insperation.

  • he reminds me of luke skywalker

  • Luke Skywalker was Randy Rhoads 2nd. cousin a long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.

  • Seems like Randy is relying to much on the ionian 3rd flat mode over the major phrygian pentantonic sharp minor...Is the student he's teaching playing with his feet on an old porch screen?

  • Also, Randy really had a handle on the blues. I love his bends, pinch harmonics -- everything the man did. He's a fucking genius! Stevie Ray Vaughn is the only other white person I know of who had a handle on the blues.

  • You're right....Clapton sucks.

  • Clapton was a blues god, he was amazing when he was in Cream.

  • Who cares about race, his guitar skills were amazing.

  • Jimmy Page doesn't suck, but I prefer Randy, by far. Randy is severely underrated by most douchebags.

  • Halen was hard rock/good time RR..never anything like metal, in any shape or form..even his solo's weren't metal...Ozzy was metal since sabbath

  • I have an old lesson on a terrible cassette..you can hear it but this much better...this was at his family's school probably, right? Would you make me a CD of some of these? I'll work out a fair price with you.

  • I probably sound like that also, lol being a beginner and all.

  • LOL, sounds like my old guitar lessons I had back in high school. He's basically telling the dude, don't bend the notes because you're tone deaf and you suck at knowing when to stop the bend.

  • my dad has tapes of lessons with him

    most amazing thing ever

  • send me them

  • I want to hear them too!!! Anything that anyone has of Randy, I want to see or hear. I love this stuff. Its like one of my guitar lessons, except my teacher isn't as great as Randy. If Randy was my guitar teacher, I doubt I'd be able to focus. Not only was he amazingly HOT, but I'd be all slack jawed, like, "That was Amazing!" And he'd tell me to play it, I'd be like "Come again?" haha. Such a beyond words guitarist. I love him. <3

  • send them to me too please

  • eddie does the tapping, Randy does hardly any XD

  • There are 31342425235+ "audio only" vids on youtube. I think audio quality is not bad for a ~30year old casette recording. Eddy does a lot of tapping, Randy didn't use more tapping than any other professional guitarist. Some real soloing? Check out "Revelation Mother Earth". Hendrix IS overrated , too... Your comment is pontless, bro..

  • the second solo beginning part of mr crowley is on the e and b strings, not tapping like many think it is. RANDY BEST RIP!

  • theres no doubts that jimmy page and jimmy hendrix are amazing ./. jimmy page is one of the main reasons i ever picked up a guitar but truth be told he''s not as skilled as andy rhoads .. rhoads can play much more difficult solos maybe without jimmy's level of soul but none the less skill is skill

  • jimi page sucks and hendrix was good but over rated RANDY IS THE BEST THERE WAS

  • how does jimmy page suck... and randy wasn't the best i think guys like marty friedman and steve lukather are better... but what do i know i only base my opinion off of who's solos are more complex and difficult to play

  • well he was the best at that time he wud of probably been the one of the best if he was still alive

  • Page "sucks"? hmmmm...what a jackoff!

  • jimmy page sucks yeah right

  • Jimmy was amazing....Randy was amazing...but the soul was equal in both. Listen to the fadeout solo to Tonight and tell me Randy didn't bleed when he played.

  • go throw yourself off a bridge. plz randy was and always will be the fucking man.

  • may i ask how you got these sound clips? Are you the student? How much was it...plz explain

  • i love randys polkadot v.

  • could not love randy anymore than i already do, but even randy makes mistakes, check out his solo on "paranoid" (tribute album-even he admits he was playing in the wrong key lol... gives hope to us all !

  • oops, he was 25 when he died, not 26

  • well he was 26 when he died in march 1982

man, he was the best guitar player ever....just imagine if he was still alive....he would be owning everyone now.....ive been reading about him in my Guitar Legends Mag that focuses on him......he was totally amazing.

  • dude! i would've loved to meet him

  • best ever? really? did he play jazz? blues? fusion? did he change music appreciably? and I would rethink that "owning everyone today" comment as well

  • what, are you talking randy? you can't be serious. he is one of the most talented guitarists EVE. much more so than jimi hendrix. he completly changed the face of every aspect of the guitar, and he played many styles including neo-classical. he only played with ozzy for two and a half years before he died, and from that time he has tons of costom guitars, tribute albums, and posters and everything. he is much more talented than anyone else in the industry today.

  • i meant ever

  • You can't compare guitarist ffs....... it's music it's an art :P It's a way of experssing yourself and getting laid -.- can you compare two painters? :P

  • Yes you can compare two painters.

I thought Michelangelo was a better painter then Raphael. Michelangelo did some amazing stuff that I thought was better then Raphael's.

You can compare guitarist if they play the same Genre, and no, music is not about getting laid, no matter how fun that is. Its about MUSIC!

  • It's called Sex, drugs and Rock n' roll.. Can't have one without the other ;P

  • Those are what hippies are all about.

Music in general is about Music...

You can have sex without drugs, its easy. Just like its easy to have sex without music, people have been doing it for years.

  • that's bullshit, you gotta stop sayin' hendrx was the best like if you wanted to follow the overall opinion, Randy moves me more than hendrix so i prefer him, and then , all hendrix songs are not masterpieces...But my favourite guitarists are also slash and jimmy page, who sort of sucks technically.
