Even if Sub Zero & Scorpion working for Shang Tsung was pretty hard to swallow as well as Sonya being tough as nails in the beginning only to be the damsel in distress towards the end...

I still enjoyed the movie

It was pretty true to the source material(not crystal perfect, but still)

One of my fav movie adaptation of a videogame (the SF movie was so bad, it's good. Always love to laugh at it, but Julia as Bison was awesome)

Unlike the sequel, this had great fight scenes, actors who - IMO - gave an unembarrassing performance, and even *gasp* character arcs! So it's a good movie to me.

best live action adaptation of a video game ever. the film sets the bar for all those pitiful excuses for video game movies. its understandable why they made this pg 13 and didnt include any gory fatalities coz they wanted the kids who bought the games to come see this. i saw it back in 95 as a kid and it didnt disappoint.the martial arts was fricken awesome too

recently found an error on the Mortal Kombat DVD. the case states that the widescreen enhances for 16x9 TVs. i set the DVD player to 16x9, the widescreen stayed the same. so the widescreen is non anamorphic.

I would agree with some people here on this page, I think they should re-make a Mortal Kombat movie, but 1 suggestion I wanna add:

"Don't make it spend a lot of time showing CG effects, but rather make it have story and most importantly, GREAT FIGHT SCENES like the the 1st movie had"

Some of the best fight choreography I've seen was in this movie. If they do that, I'm "pretty sure" the re-boot of the franchise will be a success! :)

Haven't seen this movie in years, but I just caught it on Starz last night. One of my favorite movies when I was younger, I was 10 when it came out. Great movie, but Christopher Lambert was the wrong choice to play Raiden. I also saw on IMDB that they spelled Raiden wrong, they spelled it: "Rayden." It's Raiden you dick lickers!!!!
