When the camera pans around to show the ocean of clovers, it's amazing. You see in Horton's face how frightened, overwhelmed, lost, and abandoned he feels. The trumpet accents it so well. And when he says "Oh no.." as the clover is about to crash....I think it makes everyone's heart sink a little
Awesome score, this film had a lot of epic moments. I have to admit the mountain chase scene always makes me a little emotional. This particular track is able to communicate the heroic, yet very innocent struggle of Horton to rescue the dust spec, while preserving the light and whimsical atmosphere of the film.
Wow, thanks for uploading this! :D This is one of the most moving pieces of music from the movie. Probably my favorite scene too -- the music, with the almost heartbreaking end. It gives me chills!
Thank you so much. I'll definitely buy this ASAP (:D).
Watching the film, I was so sure this was swiped directly from a film scored by Ennio Morricone. I was shocked to find it was written directly for Horton; I've never heard Morricone's style imitated anywhere near this well before.
As do I. That's why I plan to do all the soundtrack songs eventually. I know they would sound out of place but all I would do is put a note at the end that points out which vid to see next. It won't be as incomplete that way. Doing the last three songs on the end of the soundtrack is a bit trying but worthwhile when I know you and everyone else on Youtube will enjoy it all the more for my efforts to go above normal parameters to make it. :D
This was a surprisingly good movie. I went to go see it in theaters not expected much, but I was impressed. I found it very cute and the Music blew me away! Got to buy the soundtrack!
It is a phenomenal film! You have Jim Carrey to partially thank for helping the writers and directors of the movie extend the life of the eight page script into something more than was thought of it in the beginning.
If you want, I've got a few other Horton soundtrack songs uploaded on my site and at least two of my other Horton tributes remain...20th Century Fox just took off my latest four! I, of course, saved them on a disk and may try to upload them again. I honestly don't want to start from scratch again but it might just be worth it for ya'lls sake! The other thing I may do is upload several more soundtrack songs.
I have been faithfully following your videos, and I have to say I really enjoy them. Especially since I can't get the soundtrack just yet. I originally wasn't going to get the music, but by putting up a few songs, you have convinced me to buy the soundtrack.
Oh, and I love how you put the pictures together, it really adds to the whole thing.
Why thank you! :D The Who inside of me is ecstatic beyond words! lohahaha!
I figured it would've been so darn boring not to have images with the song. I always put a lot of thought into how the music will truly fulfill a photo the way it should. Just putting the soundtrack picture up wouldn't have been as enjoyable for either you, me, or the rest of these lovely folks here on Youtube.
Any ideas you have of what I should post next from my soundtrack I should appreciatively like to hear!
It'll cause people to question whether or not Horton's life with the Whos is finished! They'll just have to go to the movies and find out, won't they?
I couldn't resist leaving the Whos out of the "Seuss slide"! I thought posting a few of their more anxious expressions would add to the music's climatic momentum...
Thank you for commenting such a complimenting message to me. I've had a request to the song "The Quest" but not sure I'll do that one next.
puts chills up my spine. love the soundtrack and although i'm not one for slides, you put it together quite nicely! the 'the end?' thing was an awesome touch at the end. Good Job!
aah, Those thundering drums get my heart pumping!
