An important example showing the difference of what is wrong for the most with bicycle paths in America compared to the Netherlands.
Regardless of the laws here, cars take president over cyclists. There is very little enforcement of the laws.
It is safer to ride in traffic than to use the bicycle paths we have around here.
These paths were built to get bicycle off the road with little regard for the safety of cyclists.

In future I plan to turn right at the point of the "rechtsaf voor fietsers vrij" sign and go along Kerklaan into Groningen. I suspect that avoids the shared space completely, as well as at least some of the students.
