  • This would be cool to have, small keyboard though, and expensive :)...

  • Linux is the future :D lamers ;)

  • youre stupid.

    because linux is faster.

  • Puppy Linux is a smaller distro, so it does run faster than XP. That is not really the point though. Some people just like Linux better. Most people don't use Linux because they can't afford Windows. Linux is a very advanced operating system, and people spend a lot of time programming it as a hobby.

  • Akhem!! Did you watch his video?? He did not ''delete'' Wimblows. He simply ran Linux from his pen-drive. As he said, this Puppy-Linux doesn't even affect the Windows at all; its about 10X faster and has practically all the features you'd want. Did I say it runs about 10X faster?? LOL It's safer and doesn't get viruses or a ''blue-screen-of-death'' like Windoze. Oh, and did I say it's about 10X faster? And a whole lot of features Windooz doesn't have.

  • It runs 10x faster... but what applications are word and run under Linux? You got a fast OS with no applications - great.

Just look at that stupid Linux GUI - I could puke, no kidding.

  • No need to be offensive. I really think you should try it before passing judgment on it.

Personally, I use Open Office for all my Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and what-not applications. You can also use a lighter application such as Abi-Word, but it's not as compliant. The GUI that you see is the one that initially loads by default. I'm using Puppy to write my response back and my personal GUI looks just like Vista, but without the lag. The beauty is that you can make it what you want.

  • em he did not delit it, he runs it from usbdrive/ram [f-tard]

  • Becuase some of us just cant stand to be in windows because linux is so much better.

  • Hym... I have Ninja 500r. Tan. Skinny. No girlfriend... Curently. And yea long hair, so what I live in a hippy town. And dont spend a ton of time in front of the comptuer for the fact I dont have to wait >9000hr's for it to do something linux dose in 2 seconds. 3 linux frineds. Hardcore bicyclist, waverunner, and a f*ggot that we pull jokes on cus he cant properly secure a windows or linux box. Let alone wifi.

  • Thats the stupidest most uneducated statment ive heard in my life you retard. I guess everyone that works at IBM is a fag, and so are the 11,000 people on the puppy linuz forms.

  • Don't hate. Us Linux guys aren't pale, aren't all ugly, but one thing is for sure we are highly paid. Windows users have the IQ of a two toed sloth. Linux Rocks! Woot

  • I would like to get this on my OQO. Could you give me a copy of it?

  • Just search Google for Puppy Linux. That way you get the latest version. AFAIK, I think it's up to version 4.0.

  • can i say something dumb psp and linux hmmmmm can u visualise it

  • go fuck yourself

  • Can you post a full lspci output for the OQO2?

Also, what driver is the wireless chip using?

    Thanks so much ;)

  • What is the lspci output for the graphics chip in the OQO? Which driver for X did Puppy Linux select for the device? My day job is working on X drivers, so I'm curious about the hardware in the device and how well it's supported. Thanks.

  • this is from an OQO 02 with a recent PCI db file:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. CX700M2 UniChrome PRO II Graphics (1106:3157) (rev 03)

    i didn't bother installing X...

  • I tried to boot an OQO 02 from a USB, but the OQO would never recognize it as bootable. There is no "USB" boot option in the BIOS; so I used Drive D, which is assigned to the USB port. But the OQO still did not recognize it. I used the universal installer (on another computer booted up with a live CD) to create the bootable USB thumb drive.

    PLEASE HELP!

  • Puppy linux is so far the best linux distro I have ever tried.Lightning fast,no installation problems since no need to install, and detected all of my hardware marvelously.THis is where OSes should be heading to.Instead of making bulky stuff, make a simple, small and running like hell OS.Well done guys!

  • I'm not really a Puppy expert. But from a quickie install off the pen drive the only thing I noticed right away that wasn't working was the audio (there is probably a fix), and I think if you check the Puppy forums there is a way to install it direct to the devices hard drive.

  • Does puppy linux support all of the hardware features of the OQO like wifi, bluetooth etc? Is it possible to install puppy linux on the hard drive (or the flash drive that acts as one) of the OQO?
