By looking at the steering wheel it looks like a PDK transmission. Based on my own tests with the 911 and the Cayman S the PDK is faster and smoother in every way. I am very impressed with the Porsche product line and clearly they have some solid engineering. Not because it is fast or pretty, any one can do that. No, because you can abuse these cars at the track all day long ( I have done that ) and then drive it home and pick up groceries on the way, then drive to the office tomorrow. Amazing.
Yes this transmission was the PDK model. I definably agree that the PDK is much smoother and faster than a manual. Maybe not as fun, but much faster since you dont need to ever think about when you need to clutch, revmatch, shift... just push a button.
