  • Why is Robert Downey Jr. playing Tim Burton?

  • This sounds like Tim Burton is Regis Philbin in his spare time...

  • fuck u danny elfman is a genius... and probably more grey than ginger by now

  • Then start making out with each other the end

  • Alright I have a new movie idea so three pigs are in a plane they crash land and are stranded the plane driver is dead then they make 50 houses that a wolf try's to destroy he then falls in love with one of the pigs and soon after is charged with sexual assault and thrown in jail for 20 years then a new hot shot in town comes and try's to take over the wolfs son he then gets shot in the face with a black hole gun the rescue team has and gets sucked into a vortex of forever hell and the pigs th

  • I love all Tim Burton's movies <3

  • "The only thing worse than being talked about is...NOT being talked about"

    --Oscar Wilde

And if you're wondering what THAT has to do with anything, ask yourself---did you just watch "William 'One-Shot' Beaudine's Secret Formula"?

    "Ted 'T.V' Mikel's..."?

    "Hal Needham's..."?

  • not so secret is it....

  • not that i have anything against them, but what is up with the Mormon ads?

  • 2:34 Who wanted the wall in back of him to become a vortex and then will being sucked in he would be laughing like an evil mastermind.

  • jealousy

  • I love Tim Burton's movies, but this is true! They all do follow the same formula, but if it ain't broken, why fix it?

  • @oxmioxo It's very broken. Very, very broken.

Just look at his earlier films Beetlejuice, Batman, Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, even Peewee's big adventure!... and I'll mention it though I don't want to - nightmare before christmas.

Those films are timeless classics. And I'd say since about the year 2000 (about when he came out with Planet of the Apes) his films have consistently failed to be original, fun, interesting, intriguing, and over-all enjoyable, broken.

  • @20Freddie12 I'd have to agree with you there. Not very many of his films have taken my fancy in recent years, although I do still hold some hope for the future.

  • Hes so freakin creepy!!!

  • this was funny, but i feel like they shouldve shown him sniffing cocaine and saying "i came up another idea for a movie". which is most likely what he does.

  • Tim Burton is like m night shyamalan he made two realiy good movies with high standers but after wards thier movies realiy started to suck ass

  • i think tim burton is a good director...

  • that theme is really catchy

  • hope he doesn't do this for Dark shadows

  • Lol..true to the max

  • love Tim Burton... but it's so freaking true <3

  • Epic win at the phone LMAO!

  • i dont wanna laugh cause Tim Burton is a frikin G but that was really funny how they did that

  • Thumbs up if the last part reminded you of yourself when your alone!

    Oh, thats just me?

    Grrreeeaaatttt

  • I kinda wanna see this

  • Don't forget the wide-angle lens!

  • lala lalalalala LALALA BOM BOM BOM BOM dillidilldy dillydildly

    XD

  • the plot and visuals from Dark shadows!

  • lol this is hilarious

  • get me johny depp and my wife. lmao

  • but still who gives a crap his movies are awesome, except willy wonka, i think that story was creepy enough with gene wilder, Johnny depp came across as a drugged up Michael Jackson, and really terrified me.

  • while i like Tim Burton, i find his wife and johnny depp have acted in most of his movies, his movies seem to take place in dark dreary places, he reuses characters ex) corpse bride undead people, wow, didn't get enough of that in beetle juice, or nightmare before Christmas or even sleepy hollow, Danny elf man seems to have a life contract with him, costumes seem to be similar, black, and dreary, elaborate trek shots, plot, character quirks, someone feels alone and misunderstood, etc. etc.

  • You guys take this shit too seriously... I love Tim Burtons movies. Im not going to defend him, because this video is funny as hell. Yes, the way he makes the movies is a little repetetive, but its still nice to see a work of his after its done. And for all you super butt hurt Tim Burton fans, seriously, lighten up its a joke.

  • I used to like tim burton but his standard has really dropped.

  • I -3 tim burton!

  • Does the makeup girl just carry around a bucket of white makeup?

  • @Doomsls

    THAT IS THE JOKE

  • Hahahaha

  • Tim Burton's Pinnochio. Yep. Had to watch this again.

  • Awful and really not funny...

  • Why does Tim Burton sound like Regis Philbin?

  • Tim burton has a niche audience, mostly hipsters and goths (not that there is anything wrong with that). I am not in this group of people, although I did like corpse bride.

  • @remhawk73 I thought "Hipster." and "Goth" along with "Emo" are just tags! Something they just call you by. Well, If I'm truly a goth, I'd stick with Tim Burton. Anyone can judge, but you need to know the person before you slap "GOTH" onto them. Right?

  • I hate it when College Humour make stupid stuff like this. Unless I am completely missing the aim at the point they seem to be making Tim Burton out to be some sort of repetitive,over-rated and out of ideas director. Tim Burton has not ONLY produced dark movies and so what if he had? It is his speciality and I hope he keeps on kicking ass in making dark films because I have loved almost all of them. Tim Burton FTW!:)

  • This is stupid. Tim Burton is amazing. All of his movies aren't the same and they aren't all dark. Some are colorful and creative.

  • the la la la la comes BEFORE the bump bump bump bump... gawd!

  • This is bullshit.

  • @TheRavenLegacy if you call Tim Burtons movies fucked up you certainly haven't seen many others. 2. his movies clearly aren't aimed at children.

  • Tim Burton is the worst

  • They actually have white paint left over? I thought they caked it on the actors' faces to try to get rid of it.

  • I love all his movies!!

  • The only I'm bur to film I liked was Edward scissorhands

  • Lalalalala...DidlyDidlyDidlyDidlyDidly....Pompompompom

  • This really wasn't funny. He's more creative then this whole video.

  • @FalalaJudy I didn't find this one bit funny. It certainly was accurate though.

  • @SuperMelon1 Yeah, but not very funny, as said.

  • @blueeyesaf Maybe he just trusts Depp a lot.

  • I died the whole way through. ~~~

  • ADHD TO THE MAX!

  • Spirals and stripes, I take something not black and paint it black,

  • still an excellent director and his works give you the old chilling feelings.

  • I've loved Tim Burton for years but this made me laugh so much. He's not married to Helena Bonham Carter though.

  • @Lauranna actually...yes, he is. she actually mentions being married to him in an interview.

  • @Lauranna yeah he is

  • @guineapiggyman “Helena and I feel so married we never got around to doing it, but I’m thinking about it. He said this in 2008 in an interview with the Radio Times but if they have married since then they haven't announced it.

  • @Lauranna Er, yes he is.

  • I am a huge fan of Tim Burton but this is kinda true xD

Seriously, he should do something original :O He hasn't done it in a while.

  • oh great now you have spoiled Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

  • The awkward moment when u realize the ad isn't a part of CollegeHumor

  • UGH now he's doing snow white...same shit same story different day

  • @Mouchi ..........he's not doing Snow White.

  • I don't love Tim Burton and this is hilarious

  • I thought this was stupid, but I freaking lost it at 1:17

  • everybody says the same thing...I love Tim burton but this is hilarious...ok we get it...shut the FUCK up

  • @utuber2500 They are Tim Burton fans they can't help repeating themselves.

  • I love Tim Burton and all his films, but this was so dam funny. He does do a lot of the same type of stuff, but I still find it good.

  • Tim Burton - The most overated director of all time. Ed Wood aside, his entire body of work is absolute shite.

  • @MassiveMong I'd be inclined to agree with you, except that M Night Shyamalan.

  • Tim Burton oughta do The Wizard Of Oz.

  • Did anyone else get reminded of Professor Farnsworth when Tim Burton said "Great news, everyone!"?

  • Am I Crazy, or is that Amir doing Tim Burton?

  • I love all of hes movies....but this is fucking hillarious !

  • The funny thing is he has plans for a Hansel and Gretel movie

  • i knew this will involved johnny depp

  • GREAT NEWS, EVERYBODY! THE STUDIO WANTS TO MAKE ANOTHER FILM!!!

  • La la LA LA, la la LA LA

    BOM bom BOM bom

    Deedly-deedly, deedly-deedly...

    So. Farkin. True.

All Danny Elfman scores sound a like, ADHD.

People remember music from the original Willy Wonka movie from the '70s. Which sogs do people remember from the Burton version?

    Case in point.

  • @lohphat

How about the fact that the songs from the Burton version were the ones actually used in the f*cking book?

  • @lohphat WILLY WONKA, WILLY WONKA, THE AMAZING PUPPETTEEEEER!!!

  • @lohphat You are wrong. They don't ALL sound like 'ADHD'

  • @lohphat that was his only really bad word. The songs in nightmare before christmas were well made

  • @lohphat Willy Wonka Song!!

  • @lohphat "What so(n)gs do people remember from the Burton version"?

ALL of them...and I also remember that the four Oompa-Loompa songs from the Wilder version was just the same melody done four times.

I love Tim Burton, but this was hilarious.

  • i forgot to laugh.

  • if you want to hear a black eyed peas song you hit 555522257621

  • I love Tim Burton and his movies, but this is too true and hilarious :') Thought Helena Bonham Cater isn't his wife (they're just partners) <--- nerd fact :P

  • @Stargatecrazy no they're married

  • @HaleyKurzbuch No, they are not, check wikipedia, they are just partners (with one kid)

  • @supertrunksz i did before i commented, they're married

  • @HaleyKurzbuch WTF are you talking about? From wikipedia:

    Spouse Lena Gieseke (1989–1993)

    Partner Lisa Marie (1993–2001)

    Helena Bonham Carter (2001–present)

SPOUSE means wife, PARTNER means no-no wife.

From the "personal life" paragraph: "[...]Burton was married to Lena Gieseke, a German-born artist[...}Burton then developed a romantic liaison with English actress Helena Bonham Carter"

So, long story short, you did not check, either before, or after replying.

  • As much as I adore Tim Burton (and Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter), this is so true. Very funny!

  • I know how gets away with it.. there will always be teenagers growing up who haven't seen it yet. And then the Tim Burton fans who love the same stuff he does.

  • Tim Burton isn't this hyper. haha

  • he will never go away there will always be acid freaks out there, and they love his movies. thats basically what his movies are, crazy acid trips

  • @drpkik2face Actually, they in no way, shape, or form resemble an acid trip. They resemble my inflamed colon but with the gaudy production values of a mall-goth who never grew up. Take acid before talking about acid.

  • It's amazing how close this is to how his movies are actually made...

  • :-D :-D :-D.... Love is so much because it makes me smile even though it makes fun of my inspiration...

Still made me laugh coz, well, it did.

  • I actually like Tim Burton films but this was still funny

  • U do it wrong, it should be Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding

  • Get Johnny Depp and my wife on the phone!!

  • I love Tim Burton movies but this is so true lol

  • Danny elfman is by far the coolest person there.

  • Wow, so collegehumor is in my brain cause they made fun of my two most hated dictors

  • @SWEETRHYSIE10 Is the other one M. Night Shyamalan or however you spell that? If that's the case I agree!

  • Yeah....the new DS film is doomed! *goes to cry in a corner*

  • Why does he sound like Regis Philbin? Lol....it's all pretty true. I still love his movies.

  • *sigh* I remember when Burton was actually original and had such promise as a filmmaker. Ever since Planet of the Apes he has become a complete joke... He needs to stop trying to be "twisted" and start making more films like Ed Wood, Big Fish and Beetlejuice

  • @Morphindel I agree with you, although Big Fish was made after the Apes remake. I think he has for the most part lost his edge. Hopefully he can get it back.

  • At the 0:59 second mark you can see him pick out Johnny Depp's make up for Barnabas Collins in Dark Shadows.

  • Do you have any of that white make up left over?

    (Pulls out a bucket) yep

  • I bet that dump the guy took was better than the movie they made

  • Dammit, I love Tim Burton, but this is effing hilarious.

I lost it at the Danny Elfman bit.

  • @FotCJemainiac So you love to see the same thing over and over again?

  • @HRVDNT Wow. Dude, don't hate on fans. Its called developing a style. It separates him from other directors. Doesn't mean his movies aren't great. Weather you notice it or not, all the story lines Burton does are completely different. Visually they are similar but thats just his vision and thats a big part of his appeal.

  • @PixieSpells Except he's an Edward Gorey ripoff.

  • @SihtFukcCokc Have you stacked up both their artwork to even compare? With the exception of the gothic influence, they really aren't that similar. Gorey's work is cool too tho.

  • French costume designer is so fit.

  • Tim Burtons cool and all but I'm starting to c a pattern in his early work lol

  • Tim Burton had some great films, when it comes to NBC and Edward ScissorHands, but he then spiraled into a black pit of 'goth teen' oriented movies. All of which catered to one demographic rather than try and push the limits of filmmaking.

  • @FormallyKnownAsMe But directors tell us their story and not to push the limits of filmmaking. If this is the way he wants his story told, why would you not like him?

  • TIM BURTON IS GENEIS!!!!

  • @TheEnvyBlade Bwahahahahahah! It's ''genius'' you idiot! :D

  • @TheEnvyBlade LEARN ENGLISH!!!

  • Tim Burton positively SUCKS.Funny video.

  • why wasn't this surprising

  • Tim Burton is grand <3 Wasn't a surprise to discover that he has only two numbers on his phone :D

  • maybe he is retarded.

  • love this video. Now Tim Burton is one of my favorite producers and directors :)

  • I think one of his best movies was 'Big Fish', which totally broke from his usual formula and didn't use Johnny Depp, so probably few of you have heard of it. The movie is great but didn't get nearly as much attention as even the shittiest of his other films did, so don't harp on him for being formulaic. Dude's just trying to sell tickets, it's not his fault the hot-gothic mongers can't stomach something original.

I'm a big fan of his but still think this vid is pretty funny.

  • HOW DARE YOU!!!!! :O Tim Burton and his movies are awesome! Tsk tsk tsk

  • @LuvsWardenSoMuch I bet you shop at Hot Topic and buy any Jack Skellington and Mad Hatter accessories you can find.

  • @LuvsWardenSoMuch Shut your mouth, you stupid bitch.

  • WoW Danny Elfman is like the Tim Burten of film music becuse he just rehase all his music

  • CollegeHumor, please try not step into shallow parody territory. Please.

  • Beetlejuice was an original story and Corpse Bride was largely original.

  • @stitch99 Don't forget The Nightmare Before Christmas.

  • @jacoblgames

Yes, but he didn't direct that one, so I just figured I wouldn't include it.

  • @stitch99 Well, I'm still a fan of all of Tim's movies.. I don't think that'll ever change.

  • I love Tim Burton movies, but they do have a point here though. But hey, it's all about the humor ^^

  • @Primadonna27 Not exactly.

  • tim burton deserves to be ridiculed

  • @DarkBellatrix For Alice In Wonderland, yes.

  • I love when smart people still have a since of humor and do not care if its directed at him his work or almost anything else. <3

  • stupid humor... didnt even finish watching it...

  • i love tim burton movies, so i will shit bricks if Burton actually creates ideas like this, i will

  • la la la la la didli didli didli didli boom boom boom boom

  • Tim Burton should do a twilight movie

  • @1007292 NOO, it's already messed up! Well, if he did it I MIGHT watch it but my I.Q would be going down..

  • While I adore Tim Burton... there is SO much truth to this, which makes it all the more hilarious! But he is still brilliant. xD

  • @rockde28 what about Del Toro?

  • This is so realistic. But I love him, he's amazing :)

  • I WANT BLUE GLASSES LIKE THAT!!

  • This is true, but nothing is wrong with it, Tim Burton is ma BFF
