Just look at his earlier films Beetlejuice, Batman, Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, even Peewee's big adventure!... and I'll mention it though I don't want to - nightmare before christmas.
Those films are timeless classics. And I'd say since about the year 2000 (about when he came out with Planet of the Apes) his films have consistently failed to be original, fun, interesting, intriguing, and over-all enjoyable, broken.
@20Freddie12 I'd have to agree with you there. Not very many of his films have taken my fancy in recent years, although I do still hold some hope for the future.
this was funny, but i feel like they shouldve shown him sniffing cocaine and saying "i came up another idea for a movie". which is most likely what he does.
but still who gives a crap his movies are awesome, except willy wonka, i think that story was creepy enough with gene wilder, Johnny depp came across as a drugged up Michael Jackson, and really terrified me.
while i like Tim Burton, i find his wife and johnny depp have acted in most of his movies, his movies seem to take place in dark dreary places, he reuses characters ex) corpse bride undead people, wow, didn't get enough of that in beetle juice, or nightmare before Christmas or even sleepy hollow, Danny elf man seems to have a life contract with him, costumes seem to be similar, black, and dreary, elaborate trek shots, plot, character quirks, someone feels alone and misunderstood, etc. etc.
You guys take this shit too seriously... I love Tim Burtons movies. Im not going to defend him, because this video is funny as hell. Yes, the way he makes the movies is a little repetetive, but its still nice to see a work of his after its done. And for all you super butt hurt Tim Burton fans, seriously, lighten up its a joke.
Tim burton has a niche audience, mostly hipsters and goths (not that there is anything wrong with that). I am not in this group of people, although I did like corpse bride.
@remhawk73 I thought "Hipster." and "Goth" along with "Emo" are just tags! Something they just call you by. Well, If I'm truly a goth, I'd stick with Tim Burton. Anyone can judge, but you need to know the person before you slap "GOTH" onto them. Right?
I hate it when College Humour make stupid stuff like this. Unless I am completely missing the aim at the point they seem to be making Tim Burton out to be some sort of repetitive,over-rated and out of ideas director. Tim Burton has not ONLY produced dark movies and so what if he had? It is his speciality and I hope he keeps on kicking ass in making dark films because I have loved almost all of them. Tim Burton FTW!:)

@drpkik2face Actually, they in no way, shape, or form resemble an acid trip. They resemble my inflamed colon but with the gaudy production values of a mall-goth who never grew up. Take acid before talking about acid.
*sigh* I remember when Burton was actually original and had such promise as a filmmaker. Ever since Planet of the Apes he has become a complete joke... He needs to stop trying to be "twisted" and start making more films like Ed Wood, Big Fish and Beetlejuice
