@lucisculptoru Well, that mas a turnigy, but it is no good, so in this application I use a custom built motor (stator), made with some scrap parts from turnigy (outer shell and magnets).
ok ,i faund on a web site a new turnigy engine , but i dont know if worth the prize didn t you find eny industrial motor to fit in the actualy motor ? how long does your baterie runs before discarging
@DiegoALexis2079 It's a one-off prototype and is not available to purchase. Sorry. I am working on other projects now and, maybe, someday... I will be able to offer something. I hope.
- I tried many bikes like Stromer and A2B but they have really bad performanceand $2800 is tooo much !! compared with the Busettii bikes made in the USA. The Big 50 Mile Bike by Busettii that I have will go over 50 miles on a charge but still has more torque and speed than these over priced bikes I tried. Busettii's are about $1800 and also made in USA. Can cruise at 27 mph thanks , Rainbow
@phreakor This video was done for local contest, and it was all in Lithuanian language. I have reposted it with english title to get more viewers. Sorry. But, actually, typical BS aside, I do not say anything useful here, so just watch the picture and enjoy.
There is a second series with technical details, loads of pictures. So take a look.
@circuitdotlt People should quit thinking solar, wind and chemical batteries are totally green. All alternative energy currently are not exempt from being ecologically destructive. It takes oil to build, transport and maintain them and the manufacturing processes uses massive amounts of energy and are equally and sometimes more destructive and toxic compared ti fossil fuelled powered generators.
@stiffyschlong Nothing is ever going to be GREEN enough for the moonbat whack-jobs like you who trawl around youtube looking for things to hate. Who cares? This is our natural habitat too. Why don't you write letters to Africa complaining about lions eating the Gazelles and leave the real people to get on with civilization.
Hey! Really nice project :D I didn't understand what you said in the video, but from what I could see, you're using a Turnigy brushless motor? If so, I would like to know what controller and batteries you use :)
@wildenboy hey. Yes, I used 80mm dia turnigy motor (50mm stator length) in this project. I won't go into details about the controller, because it performs terribly and I do not recommend it. And I do not recommend using big (such as this one) turnigy motors, because there are no suitable controllers in the market.
The battery is made from A123 20Ah pouch cells with DIY BMS system. more info:
@SenserStal He said that at the moment the scooter can only travel 20km and recharge in 20-30mins but he almost mentioned that hes getting new battery so it can travel around 100km

I have been wanting to build/convert an old bike to electric. What size of a motor did you use?

Could you tell me the range?
And allso i'm wondering, where to get the documentation at the end of the video?

I'm really surprised how such a small outrunner can make a scooter move like that O.o

@LoqueTheBoss I'm surprised too. I did the math before conversion and it looked all good, but believed it only when saw it.

@circuitdotlt You hope? You need to approach motorcycle companies with this concept, it could make you a very rich man. It looks the goods!
Good luck, I love it!
