Boy does this song ever take me back- one of the classic love songs of the 70's- I can remember where I was when I first heard it and wow the memories- thx
I was at Disneyland in Southern Cal when Climax was playing there but my friends, all 13 and 14 year old boys, I was 13, didn't think it was cool to see them so we skipped the show. Too bad cause this song reminded me of a girl I had a crush on who I slowd danced with at a Junior High School dance and I wanted to hear them play it live but oh well, we got YouTube all of these years later.
Got to meet Sonny when he played in Fairfield Oh. and I was working for ClassX radio. Got to interview him. Classy guy, and a great talent. I hope he didn't mind my ribbing him about us both being middle aged guys with great hair, and having the same shade of hair dye! {LOL}
Sonny sounds great! Have ALWAYS loved this delightful 70's tune....one of my all time favorite romantic ballads. Thank you VERY much for sharing this awesome clip with us! You've MADE my day! CHEERS! :)
This is one of those songs that hits that emotional spot. It brings me back to a time in my life where I felt hope and looked at the world with excitment and joy. Unfortunately, I don't see the world that way any longer due to losing a lot of people in my life and going through a bad time within my family. I love this song, but sometimes, I can't make it through to the end. It has a very powerful effect on me.
I know 2 brothers in teh L.A. (SoCal) area..that are in music last named "Geraci"? any relation?..I thnk one is named Sal? anyone help if you can...thx
@1Phoebus I don't know if he's related to your friends because I don't know enough about him. I've done genealogy research on my own family, and I found family that I never knew existed. I would encourage your friends to find out the names of Sonny's parents & grandparents. Perhaps a grandpa or great uncle of Sonny's is a brother or cousin of an uncle or grandpa of your friends. Geraci grew up in Cleveland & now lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, with wife, Mary Lou. They could write him. God Bless
The changes in inflection are what makes this a good to better than average version, when it could be really great. Also, his beautiful voice is drowned out by the band. The band is good, but they should have done a better sound check to get the levels right. Even the backup singers are too loud in comparison with the singer's voice. I liked this a lot, but it could be something really special in the future with just a few simple changes.
I agree. You said it best. His beautiful voice is drowned out. I'm not fond of the backup singing. Too loud, too much like a church choir. Sonny deserves better, but I'm glad we at least have this.
Really?!! I'm impressed, and I don't impress easy. He has the voice, because as you already know, he did the lead vocal on, "Time Won't Let Me". in the mid-60's, and that's another classic from him.
Thanks for posting this!!! It is Wonderful!!! I was there!! I'm Sonny's assistant...and this is an incredible video!! Brought back memories of the nite!! Thanks again!! Rae

IF YOU THINK THIS SONG IS GOOD BY CLIMAX LISTEN TO ANOTHER UNDER-RATED SONG CALLED LIFE AND BREATH
NEWYORKRANGERS19 11 months ago
@NEWYORKRANGERS19 You are so right. Thought Life and Breath was as good as Precious and Few. Still can't believe it didn't do better.

For his age, Sonny still looks gorgeous and the voice
remains sensational. I say that is a true singer who
can deliver beautiful songs.

He's 61?! Wow, his voice is still as beautiful as when he first sang this song in 1972.
I could do without the loud music & back-up vocals though.
