One thing i hate about the mac is that it only comes with one processor just Intel core and while windows gives both small and large laptops and with other processors like AMD or Intel....But both computers are good i used both and their still very good but i still like PC better...(Plus Mac desktops are all in one so what you get is what you get it will be price to change RAM,Hard Drive,ect...

macs get viruses. they crash. they've crashed on me. i couldn't install software. and what makes Toshiba a bad brand? my friends dad has a Toshiba and he's had it for 8 years without problems. Toshiba's are one of the top brands. and when you buy a Mac, you aren't paying for the computer, you are paying for the brand "Apple." I'd rather pay $600 for a laptop than $1500 and get the same specs as the $600. i could do so much with the extra $900

I say that mac is better because i had a pc's for 7 years and then i passed to mac, in those 7 years I had many problems... like : viruses, crashes, I dont know if it happens to everyone but after some time a pc gets slower, some problems with the operatic system...

with the mac, for now, i NEVER had such problems... and i can do everything i can do with a pc, the only thing that i can't do with a mac is play games.

The 'Australian Apple Tax' I refer to is the difference of price of a US mac and an AU mac of the same build. I don't see that it costs approx $500 more just for 'shipping and handling'
