PART 1 OF 2: @fenderguitar920 I didnt actually post this video, but it is a pick harmonic that you are looking to do. If you are a beginner at these, the best way to practice are by starting with the 12th fret. All you have to do is (for example) place your finger on the 3rd (G) string, but only lightly. You do not want to put a lot of pressure on the string, just a touch, the string will not touch your fretboard. Just pick the string, and you should hear the octave harmonic note of G....

@fenderguitar920 PART 2 OF 2: Practice the same technique on all 12th fret strings. It wont be long at all before you get a feel for the soft touch required to get great harmonics. Once you are confident enough, try moving around between frets 5, 7, and 12. You can find harmonic notes anywhere on the fret board, but depending on amp set up, the location and pitch of certain harmonics can be a little harder to find and control. But try fret 12 first and that should get you started, good luck:)

@fenderguitar920 OK, for a note like the one I think you are trying to do, you are creating a harmonic with ur picking technique. What u do is instead of picking the note with your pick 'flat' (like you would do when playing a chord) , angle your pick between 45 and 90 degrees, and pick the note (downstroke) with the pick closer to the pointy end). Generally you need some distortion to make the note more audible. Try this on the 3rd (G) string first, you should find the technique pretty quickly
