They are much of the reason Chuck Lidell was almost impossible to take down through most of his career. A wrestler needs something near contact distance to shoot for a takedown and a longer punch prevents this better, keeping your opponent out of wrestling range. In addition, 4 ounce, open fingered gloves require a completely different method for even making a fist.

They are much of the reason Chuck Lidell was almost impossible to take down through most of his career. A wrestler needs something near contact distance to shoot for a takedown and a longer punch prevents this better, keeping your opponent out of wrestling range. In addition, 4 ounce, open fingered gloves require a completely different method for even making a fist.

@408supersexy Dude I aint talking boxing match, Im talking fight, I did boxing for a year I know what it is like in the ring and whats its like in a fight, in the "boxing ring" you can only punch above the belt meaning you are limited, but in a fight dude will be kicking and tackling the shit out of you. Plus I dont see Mayweather jumping into the octagon to fight to prove that he can beat all the MMA fighters, he may be a great boxer but as an ALL round fighter he proves one thing, he punches..
