These Helo padsthat you guys builld. . . . What sort of helicopters can they take? Obviously a B206 Cuz there is one taking off of one in this vid but what other sorts. I mean most of the othere helicopters i know of that are used for logging are of the wheeled type. CH-46 Sea Knight, CH-47 Chinook, S-64 SkyCrane. Is it mainly medical / Transport helicopters that they are for not the actual logging helo's themselves?
These pads are only built for the personnel transport helicopters, different sizes and specs depending on what helicopter will be used. Likely just the 206 and maybe AStars on these pads, not entirely sure.
Just find two trees growing in a suitable site the correct distance apart, clear around it, and build the pad with small trees and 10" spikes. It pays well...
