Cant you just switch your weap before you dive then you can shoot while diving.... I've only tried with the tomahawk but i'm pretty sure it works with weaps as well. Like pull out your secondary before you think about diving then as you dive switch back to primary.

And also when you want to drop shot instead of dolphin, move to the side to make your controller make you stop sprinting. When you stop sprinting, you can't dolphin dive anymore. Instead of pulling back, just strafe and get down.

I've always found the 'Dolphin Dive' as a mechanism used to dive to cover or evade enemies rather than a use similar to drop shooting. Rarely should you find yourself in a situation that you have to sprint to drop shot if you don't sprint past corners blindly. Just my opinion, feel free to disagree. Good tips.

1:23 ----- FAIL, and the dolphin dive is useful in certain circumstances. Coming around a corner when you knw someone is there for example, turn while your diivng and take your victim out easily, not only are you reducing the area of your hitbox and moving quickly than most can aim accurately but as you turn to face him and you are mid air your hitbox becomes even smaller. not to mention that the dolphin dive is also a great getaway utility, all depends on the circumstances really.
