Amazing singer, effortless performance and a timeless song. One of a few artist who is/was greater at singing than most superstars. This singer had more natural talent than most I've heard. The 'record business' just never got behind her enough. If she was promoted and marketed better, she would have achieved a much higher status. Go back and listen to those other album cuts from Mega and Electra records, then you'll know.

Sammi is one of the greatest artists ever and this song is really one of the best ever in true country music. Some of today's singers don't really fit the idea of country music. (There are some other songs that I like that also make me kind of laugh - like "Your Precious Love"). Just type in "Sammi Smith', and that song will be there. I lost track of her just before her untimely death. May she rest in peace, (She deserves it)
