Goshawks are of slightly larger size than Common Buzzard.
They are more agile and active predators.
The insectivorous and distantly related to true-buzzards Honey-Buzzard is prayed upon by the Goshawk and for this reason it mimics the color pattern of the Common Buzzard (which can effectively defend itself against Goshawks being a raptor of similar proportions) and ironically this has lead some experts to the erroneous belief that Goshawks prey on Buzzards.

This Goshawk is a young bird. The Buzzard should be carefully attacking an adult one . Sometimes Goshawks also prey on Buzzards.
