i just realized something (several months after seeing this) the father (William Shatner) of the nerd ( Jason Alexander) who likes Star Trek, is a main character in Star Trek. I wonder if that's why they hired him? and to tell you the truth William Shatner really can't sing, but Jason really can sing and dance.
