  • LotusLotusLotus. Love 'em.

  • why dont u buy the original lotus and tuned it up to 250 hp?it will cost around 25-30gran right?and it will weight 670kg

  • @EVERLIVERPOOL

Well the original lotus was really unreliable and can never match its handling

  • u pay more , for less things on the car??

  • Lotus F1 driver Stirling Moss LOL

  • this is definetelly a tribute to colin chapman´s memory.he designed the first eleven

  • Just a epic car

  • 1:03

  • This is exactly what I want, a light weight car with a standard engine. Not some 7000 pound super car with an equally monster engine.

  • @NMoulana with some new cams, valves, exaust, port and polish, heads, ignition, induction, flywheel, and tranny the 2 eleven would make a bugatti look like a civic. and still weigh nothing.

  • @vaxeh I know, thats the beauty of something that doesn't weigh as much as an elephant.

  • This car is awesome a friend of mine has one, and he took me out in it. at about 100 mph, I had so much helmet lift my head was about to come clean off, I got a areo kit for it after I rode in his car.

  • This is what people want this car is just perfect.

  • I wish you were right in saying "this is what people want." You are right about the car being perfect but it is not at all what people want. The average car enthusiast, even the ones who belong to the upper class, are not willing to spend that much for a car that is basically a road legal track car. If someone wants a great handling, fast car for the same price they are well catered for with cars that actually have a boot. At the same time if i had 80 grand i would buy one. in a second

  • Well it is impractble like alot of unbeatble cars but if u want something that can deliver pure driveing exotement with near unbeatble performance for not that much money you'd be crazy not to take this an option gt-r worshipers brag about how well it handles and it pisses me off the gt-r is nearly 2 tons the lotus 2-11 is less than half that wieght and its just so pure i mean the key to haveing a good handleing car is makeing it light not giveing it a computer systm & driver aids like gt-r has

  • i drove one of those around silverston and i fell in love with it

  • Purely meant for fun...but I would like if it had all the comfort options(stereo, aircon, navi...),doors,a roof (with a functional air scoop intake),and a merc 430hp engine (more power because of weight added by options), think about it, it already looks like a full size supercar...

  • then you may as well get a ferrari 430 scuderia. All the things you mention add weight and weight is the killer in terms of performance and handeling. everything is compromised. ...... but yeah this car is epic fun!!!!!! :D

  • Yep!!

  • It's like a kickass go-kart!

  • original elise are available used from about £7k...great toy...

  • gotta love those lotus engineers!! they make them better by the day

  • Question: Why can't lotus put this version of the engine in the Exige S? The Exige S with 250 HP would be a serious upgrade against the stock 190HP Elise. 220HP Exige isn't all that much power. It's similar to a BMW Z4 M or M3.

  • StoplslamoFascism: They did, I own a Exige Cup 255, it has 255HP... And since last year ther is the Cup 240 on the market...

  • I own a BMW Z4 M and I'm itching to trade it in for an S. I just wish the standard S had 255 HP.

  • Wait -- this isn't an Eleven... Jeez.

  • supercharged ariel atom hits 60 in 2.7 seconds. This does it in like 3.8 or so I think. So straight line I'd say supercharged atom but I can't comment on any other aspect like around a track.

  • wonder how it would do against an ariel atom....

  • The Atom has 50 years worth of drive train development. It is built for modern tires. It has modern welds, bits of carbon fiber, modern shocks...

The Eleven has tiny little tubes for a frame, and a portable fire pump engine for a motor.

  • Err have you even watched the vid? They're talking about the Lotus 2-Eleven, not the Lotus Eleven.... the 2-Eleven is built upon the Elise Exige bonded/extruded chassis... which is far more advanced than the Atom's chassis. This has nothing to do with the original Lotus Eleven, which you speak of.

  • I think you've got it the other way around

  • Try again chief. The 111 and 211 are built off the same bonded/extruded chassis as the original Elise (updated I'm sure). Try using google once in a while... it'll keep that nasty foot taste out of your mouth.

  • arial atom got a supercharge Honda K20A type R 300hp

omost same weight but atom got more power, and its got honda. but 2 eleven looks better.

  • and is faster round a track infact it came last against the 2 eleven and the caterham r500 check out the drivers rupublic vid on the 2 eleven and caterham r500
