  • @milkguy420 ****from their 1990 greatest hits album*************

  • Spiderbaits Version is better though :/

  • @SuperCakeGuy NOT A CHANCE....THIS IS THE BEST VERSION

  • @jimmie3319 The best version is Johnny Cash. It's a country song. The answer is always Johnny Cash. He's the Michael Jordan of Country.

  • @MattFerrantino Well, actually, it's technically a Western song. But it was country-ified by Johnny Cash, most likely many others

  • Rip ....

    fantastic Vid ......

  • R.I.P Hughie Thomasson and Billy Jones. This the greatest Southern Rock band to have played. I have listened to this music and have all of the albums from 1975 onward. It doesn't get any better then this.......especially in todays music. The Outlaws were pure southern rock and talent.

  • Deadbolt's version is cool too...

  • SO this is the band where Ritchie Blackmore played the guitar

  • best version ever made!!!!

  • Que belo arranjo e vocal...música fantástica.....

  • Sooo much better than the spiderbait version, I have no idea why they used the newer version in the movie, maybe because they figured it'll do the movie more justice. Crap movie, Crap version of the song.

  • @Gichev90 So.....wait a minute......you're deaf? Cuz this version of the song should be the ONLY version of the song. Fuck the others, Outlaws all the way, considering this is a country/rock song and its sung by a country/rock band....hmm.......put 2 and 2 together?

  • they are solid

  • this needs to be my next tattoo

  • this sound like eire og the sam song

  • @paintedwithlove

this song(the original anyway) was originally inspired by When johhny comes marching home, which this song inturns inspire the sam song

  • @EdTheDragonSlayer When johnny Come Marching Home was in fact inspired by an earlier British antiwar song called Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya. The original recording of Ghostriders was by Burl Ives recorded in 1949. The big hit was by Vaughn Monroe which was recorded later in 1949.

  • @RossM3838

yup, and in fact Johnny I hardly knew ya was inspired by Pop goes the weasel

    its true!

  • @EdTheDragonSlayer I had no idea that that song was that old.

  • What is that image from, or art, I can't read that small type to see the signature. I love the art & definitely want to see more of the same work. Thanks for this upload.

  • I wonder what he does when he has to stop at a gas station for gas LOL good song

  • @bjbuschman2 I don't think his bike runs on fossil fules. It runs on hellfire. Thats how he can go 300 miles per hour ,crash and still get up.

  • @bjbuschman2; To think this bike runs on gas is just ludicrous. Clearly it's fueled by the souls of the lost and damned. :p

  • @P5eudonym Hell Yeah !!!

  • @bjbuschman2 He does need to stop for gas, the bike runs on fury.

  • The Outlaws, Kicks Spiderbait's Ass

  • Probably the best (cover) version of this song available. Sorry, but Johnny Cash still has the best version.

  • Yes! Best version! This is what the movie needed, not the Spiderbait one!

It has a good sound like Cash's version, but it has a faster rhythm like I like.

  • Been listening to this song ever since it came out .. this is far and away the BEST!

How can 168 people be so wrong in the head?!!!

    Cocksucking Faggots!

The thrash solo at 4' minds me of doing 9.5 miles of unclassified bakc-country road in 9' dead .. what a rush!!!

  • Been listening to this song ever since it came out .. this is far and away the BEST!

How can 168 people be so wrong in the head?!!!

    Cocksucking Faggots!

  • I live in Palm Harbor, FL. I saw these guys when i worked as an usher at WIU in 1974. They opened for Marshall Tucker band and BLEW THEM AWAY!

  • Now that....that is how this song was meant to be sung. Marty Robbins is still a close second though.

  • this song was written by a guy in the 1940's who was told this story by an old cowboy when he was a kid hunkered down on a ridge in arizona trying to avoid some nasty lightning, it scared him so bad he remembered it twenty some years later and wrote this..thank God

  • @holddad : Thanks for the story Holddad, I didn't know that.

  • IT'S LIKE IRON MAIDEN WAS BORN IN THE SOUTHWEST UNITED STATES!!!!!!! I MEAN DAMN! HELL YES!, AS YOU AMERICANS SAY!!!! BEING FROM GLASGOW, I NEVER HEARD THIS KIND OF MUSIC GROWING UP....I MEAN DAMN....

  • @FrozenSkyes The "white cowboys" have always been wearing "filthy rags" like huckleberry finns 'whitewashed fence"...you Know...the average 'church people' who RIDICULE APOSTLES, PROPHETS and EVANGELISTS...like the Great INQISITION and The SALEM WITCH TRIALS...now We are coming back to HAUNT THEM!

  • @FrozenSkyes What revisionist text book did you get that out of?

  • @MaxamillianArturo Not a text book an old book Called "The original west after the war" It was a biography of a white cowboy with a group of black cowboys he said there where more black cowboys then white because they went west after the war and started herding cattle for a living because all they knew was working in the fields history is what people want you to know about the past remember that. History is only hat people thought what was important enough to remember.

  • Love Spiderbait's version but their lead singer didn't have this guy's voice by a long shot. However musically speaking, I still love Spiderbait's version. This guitarist is fantastic too but seems like he's trying too hard.

  • This song just plain Rocks....................

  • i modified this song once and replaced a few words and it still rocked

  • They should have used this in Red Dead Redemption! Thumbs up if you agree!

  • @XpertDrumCovers aye while riding on the fiery steed!

  • @XpertDrumCovers Fuck that. Just use the superior, classic Johnny Cash version.

  • @XpertDrumCovers

All the music written for that game is in the same key at least, it still would've been badass though

  • @XpertDrumCovers undead nightmare, riding one of those horses tht are on fire!

  • in forza 3 or 4 they should make an add on where u can unlock the 2 ghost riders as a car

  • or midnight club la

  • @XpertDrumCovers What is really messed up is in Red Undead Nightmare they play a song like this about half way through the game after you help a church for a mission and it sucks how right you are.

  • @XpertDrumCovers I use it in when I was searching for Ross

  • The Outlaws are coming to the watseka theatre watseka illinois on friday october 14, 2011

  • NOTHING SHORT OF PURE BADASS.....

  • all of our respect for those who fight for freedom !!

  • I never disrespect vet's, I pitty them.

To bad they fought for a country that forgot them when they came home

  • @TheEspenK TRUTH!!

  • One of my all time fav. southern rock groups. That's Henry Paul on vocals. If you liked them back then follow Henry on into country and the group Blackhawk, you won't be disappointed, I guarantee it.

  • This song came on the radio the other day as I was getting onto Storrow Drive in Boston.

Since it's a very thin 2 lane road and everyone goes a LOT faster than the speed limit on it, it was the perfect time for this song to start playing! Great driving song!

  • They should have used this version in the movie.

  • I gotta say this is the best version of this song anybody does, hands down it rocks!!

  • @MegaDog500 you mean best version, but not better than Cash. Please tell me that you do not think this version is better than Cash...

  • @philaboston yeah way better than cash

  • @philaboston Johnny Cash's is great but it's country,we're talking rock and roll
