  • Kilborne does a lousy job of making anything resemebling a coherent thought but raher reinforces what everyone who doesn't have prunes for reproductive organs already knows- Sex is awesome. Kilborne has no way of wraping her mind around the joys of sex because she's jaded and crippled by her own sense of inferiority, hence she could not conceive why sexuality would be portrayed in the media aside from conspiring against women.

  • I think the dance professor is having a problem with equal rights, feminine sexuality and a overall dwarf-syndrome.

  • You're having problems with an understanding of rights and equality. I'll spell it out for you. All people vary naturally in abilit, hence no one is equal in ability. Still with me? The weaker will seek to create laws that punish the stronger under the name of equality such as equality of pay (despite difference of work) etc. While this produces an equality of outcome, it directly creates an equality of rights!! This is what I oppose! As for feminine sexuality, up with miniskirts!

  • Ahhhhhhhhhh...........The conspiracies of the weaks to overtrown the strongs!!!! Those damn democracies!

    XD

  • It's funny that you'd mention feminine sexuality because this is what kilborne opposes. She opposes sexual roleplay of innocence in girls as depicted in commercials, despite that it is 100% consensual. She has such a female inferiority complex that any subtle depiction of women that doesn't portray them like Mao Zedong is an afffront to women. Sex with a feminist is no doubt cold, horrible and sterile.

  • I'm not sure you have seen the whole video because it looks like you have skipped most of the parts and are trying to do a very poor summerize. She doesn't oppose sexual roleplay (it's your assumption, she never mention it). The whole point of the video is that she underline the passive imposition of a sole point of view (via mass media) that doesn't take account of the reality of all the social actors implied.

  • This biaised point of view carries a certain violence by separating the physical body (always and/or only showing or focusing on certain parts of the body) from the concerned actor (women in this case). The social actor is not respected and is shown as a piece of meat without feelings. This way of doing dehumanize the social actor and it's truly terrifing when one realise the huge place it's taking in media (movies, ads, pictures, etc.) and thus, the effect on society.

  • You are starting to ramble incoherently. The social actor? What excatly is a social actor? Society has no claim on an indiivudal, this individual participates in modelling on her own accord. How can anyone claim that to be dehumanizing? Yes, she shows parts of her body to that evoke sexual stimulation in men, comparing her to a piece of meat? Not only a cliche but lousy comparison...no one would actually have sex with a steak.

  • Social actor is a basic concept in sociology. It could be interpreted as either individuals or collectives (e.g. political parties, trades unions, social movements, syndicates, etc.) who exercise agency as opposed to constraining social structures. A certain approch in sociology also point out the fact that social structures determine and constrain individual (or collective) action. Basically, an individual cannot be totally free of it's culture and also participate to it's propagation.

  • Also the whole idea of a 100% accord cannot be real since everyone is so intervined in a culture that we cannot separate the social from the individual in a person. Everyone is connected, everyone. 5 persons together is different from 1+1+1+1+1 persons. The whole is different from the simple sum of it's content when we talk about a society.

  • So what you're saying is, everything in society and cultural mileu is the sum of individual choices. The reflection of women in media is bad. Ergo, women are incapable of making good choices for themselves :P ..... which explains why feminists need to step in and speak on their behalf!

  • @professorfoxtrot Coming from someone who gets all of his chauvinistic statements from the menarebetterthantwomen website somehow makes me smile.

  • @alrune8 though I have been to menandbetterthanwomen and there are some great articles in there illuminating the nature of women in the most salient of terms, however, I'm no one's disciple. Feminists abandon logic at the doorstep once they delude themselves in to believing that men and women are equal.

  • @professorfoxtrot No one's disciple? I doubt that. But whatever, as I said earlier, there's no point in all your drivels. You obviously want to bask in your self-proclaimed sense of superiority and order women to grovel at the feet of men since, in your own words, we are either whores or parasites. Aside from this, you don't say much more. No counter-analysis, nothing constructive or informative, just insults and condescension with pseudo-scientific backups coming from a troll-site.

  • @alrune8 A trollsite? Interesting how someone is bested in a debate on about a topic how quickly their adversary becomes a troll. I wouldn't go as far as to say that feminists are trolls, they're just very misguided and irrational women who have no direction since they've pretty much sworn off men. As a result they rely on neurotic synapse fire based on their feelings and which ever way the wind blows.

  • @professorfoxtrot Who said YOU were a troll? I said you take most of your arguments from a trollsite, hence a questionable source, not that you were a troll yourself. And you don't really debate, you insult. You prove this one more time, which is a pity.

You indeed had some interesting thoughts back when we started talking, but you have too much anger towards women in general and you evidently think very highly of yourself which might be why you can't stand when someone disagrees with you.

  • @alrune8 A trollsite? Bullshit. He's a man who speaks the truth as unfiltered as possible. He says more to disprove feminist studies than feminist could ever conceive and he does it using logic, an arch enemy of feminists. Feminists hate logic and appeal exclusively to sensitivity. I do debate, however, what I have to say is often insensitive. I don't have any anger towards women, just silly arguments like "women are equal to men"

  • @professorfoxtrot *sigh* Men...Always bombastic when they defend sth they like

I'm all for reassessing the worth of men in society and I don't mean putting them under women's thumb, rather recognizing their achievements and stop blaming them for everything.

But men like you and that Dick guy who are mending their male pride by proposing to equate women's self-sufficiency with that of babies are just playing the exact role feminists want them to play and neither of you seem to understand this.

  • @alrune8 But feminists are exactly that. Children. Children who need freebies and doovers. Feminists have no real power because letter writing accomplishes nothing.

  • @professorfoxtrot Misogynists are no better if you wanna go that way. Most of them just need to get a girlfriend, and I mean a real one.

Whichever, 3rd wave feminists present men as selfish and ungrateful oppressors to induce misogyny and condescension from men, thus proving their point. Their goal is to importune women into loving men no more by demonstrating that men despise women.

By attacking feminism with misogyny, you're attacking women as a whole. This is what feminists want. And you bite.

  • @alrune8 3rd wave feminists present themselves as crippled with jealousy and contempt. For example- take prostitution. An agreement between two happy individuals, money exchanged for sex and everyone goes home happy. It takes a feminist to make both consenting individuals miserable. They're a virus who's not happy with destroying their own lives that they must seek out others to destroy. You seem to misunderstand that I don't hate women, I simply recognize the fact that men are better.

  • @professorfoxtrot I already told you that me and the women I associate with have nothing against prostitutes at all. But I see your point.

Still, you don't seem to get you are doing exactly what the feminists you oppose so hard want you to do. 3rd wave feminists want women to hate men. By saying men are better than women and other misogynistic statements, you react just as feminists planned. If women begin to believe that deep down men contempt them and don't love them, feminists have won.

  • @alrune8 Feminists will never win. They don't win because they don't generate money- they are losers. They can only hope to have a female president. They suck.

  • @professorfoxtrot And now you sound out of arguments. But I believe you just understood what I meant. Don't like the truth? You said you wanted it, so here it is. Men like you are 3rd wave feminism byproducts. They have succeeded in turning you against women as a whole.

Thinking women are whores is what they want you to think so they can prove that men contempt women as a whole, not just feminists, thus causing women to hate men in reaction. You are unknowingly serving feminists' interests.

  • @alrune8 I just don't like retreading in circles. Feminists have not turned me against women, and I'm not against women in the first place. They have not changed me except by their actions inspire me to believe that they are clowns. The more people who think they're clowns, the less powerful they become. It's called credibility. So how does this equate to feminists winning or manipulating me to their own advantage in any way shape or form. The obvious answer is, it doesn't and you know that.

  • @professorfoxtrot I'm sorry baby but you are sorely deluded.Indeed it does. You are responding with what created feminism in the first place, so of course they're going to use it. And you obviously have a problem with women as a whole, don't deny it.

If it weren't the case, you wouldn't say things like "all women are whores or parasites no matter what they do or who they are". You sound awfully as if you were trying to mend your hurt manhood. Real men don't need to belittle women to feel manly.

  • @alrune8 If there's anything you should be apologizing for it's being 100% wrong for the wrong reasons to be sure. What created feminism was opportunism. Since the beginning of time in the wake of greatness others have sought to feed of a host much in the same way a parasite feeds off of healthy bodies. Contempt of such creatures alone does not conceive them into existence. Also, I'm not belittling women, feminists are overexchagerating women's abilities.

  • @professorfoxtrot Opportunism is what indeed created 2nd wave feminism, not the 1st wave one which purpose has stopped as soon as women were given equality in front of the law. Also your parallel with parasitism is completely untrue because it implies that all men are good and great, which is just not the case, only a few ones are and you know it. Plus, great men most times get great women.

It's not women's fault if you're incapable of finding a decent, loving and intelligent mate my good sir.

  • @alrune8 Still a logical claim though. All greatness comes from man, but not all men are great. There are actually a few male feminists out there who have absolutely no values that they would rather have their girlfriends tell them what they are- deplorable and embarrassing! The irony is that most women could not convince themselves to respect such men.

  • @professorfoxtrot If women weren't around, men wouldn't achieve greatness. Why? Because, to achieve greatness, you have to be free from basic preoccupations so you can focus on ideas. Which is another reason why men and women should work together in partnership and not fight one another over who is more important. It's a fruitless battle that only brings hurt to both parties.

And it saddens me how someone apparently able of critical thinking just can't get rid of his own bigotry.

  • @alrune8 Competition is not a "fruitless battle" as you call it. Competition is awesome and it inspires excellence. For example, air transportation would be nowhere near as advanced as it is today without the competition of war. Also, NASA sucks because the cold war is over and feminists have tried to impose equity to allow women who have no business being in space.

  • @professorfoxtrot Oh please! Don't be stupid! I wasn't talking about competition over technology, and even less about warfare. I'll repeat myself, a couple is a partnership not a competition. I admit there can be some playful fights and contests every now and then but it's not supposed to be serious. And if it is, it's unhealthy. Such relationships don't last.

It's uncanny how frustrated you are. Why so much anger? What's your problem really?

  • @alrune8 lol, Who said I was angry? I see a lot of frustration coming from the alrune8 section. Speaking of partnerships men and women used to work together. They didn't used to get divorced at the prospect of the woman leaving and receiving a man's alimony (also known as vagina tax) Women tended the children and dinner was brought to the table and a man could drive home from work to look forward to the affection of his wife in kids after working hard for them. Feminists call this oppression.

  • @professorfoxtrot Maybe I'm frustrated. It's just the first time I meet a Western guy with so much contempt towards women, or maybe just feminists but it sounds like you hate us as a whole.

Who said what you describe is oppression? It's oppressive ONLY if women are not allowed to do something else with their lives if they so desire, otherwise, it's just a natural life choice. Nothing wrong with it. And feminism or not, women do need to work as well anyway if their husband isn't rich enough.

  • @alrune8 Well said - it's all about choice. That's the heart of true feminism.

    xxxx

  • @alrune8 Very true. Maybe he is like Jeffrey Dahmer who was gay, homophobic and racist. The guy murdered gay black men (and not to mention had sex with and ate them) because he had institutional homophobia (and racism) yet was afraid of his own desires to be with these same men. It's a very interesting case.

  • @sweetprgirl1 I wouldn't compare him with Dahmer. But one thing's for sure, he has a problem with women and too much anger at us for his own good. Actually, I understand his rage towards hard-line feminists. But countering such kind of feminism with misogyny is a big mistake and he doesn't seem to get it.

  • @sweetprgirl1

The reasons Jeffrey Dahmer ate people is becuz of the pills he was given while he was in the army. These pills make u go crazy when u dont get enough. when he got off the pills he didn't know how to handle it so he ate people.

  • Either you have a very strange sexual attraction to Mao or either you have a problem with feminine sexuality since you only tolerate a unique view of it and nothing else. The instant the feminine roles are depicted diffently (in the name of respect and equal rights) from what you expect , you think nothing else but that is a way to usurp power (as seen in your previous commentaries). Also, you are weirdly refering to having sex with a feminist, which point out ur problem with feminine sexuality.

  • @crayncyan He's actually taking all his crap from a trollsite. But what I don't understand is what he's doing here in the first place since he just can't stand women in general.

  • I believe these videos are great.

I just hope it isn't minute rice! Haha that was pretty funny.

  • lol

    minute rice.

  • A video on gender politics using a joke aimed at making fun of a guy's sex drive? Yeah, classy.

  • I will never look at rice the same way again.

And a marvelous argument for proper sex education. (I support a push for abstinence, but a thorough teaching of safe sex and accessible resources for those having sex.) She makes a point that in a society filled with sex, in everything and everywhere, it seems silly not to teach how to be sexually responsible. Despite sex running more rampant in the media and society, it's almost more taboo than when my grandmother was growing up. Pfft.

  • anyone who thinks feminists dont have a sense of humor needs to watch this video. LOL We are funny!! We gotta be or else we'd just sit there and cry all day with all the terrible crap we know about the world.

  • I watched this part and thought it could rival some acts on Comedy Central. And it's four times more poignant than most the acts. XD

But I don't know if I'd classify myself as a feminist. I'm more for equality. Whether they raise the status of women(/blacks/homosexuals/every other minority), or to put everyone on the same degrading level. :) Yes, the latter is not the first choice. But I'd rather have everyone equally demeaned than inequality. Does that seem odd?

  • Feminism *means* seeking equality, not superiority. The idea that women seek to be somehow superior to men through feminism is just another misconception sewn into society to make women more hesitant to speak up for their own rights, because lord knows we don't want women to be assertive as men are. They might end up getting taken seriously!

I don't really find that odd though. I think if we are all in the dirt together, power will come from the most capable sources naturally. :)

  • I know what feminism means, and in that sense I am a feminist. I don't use the term to describe myself, though. Many of my 'feminist' friends are really just girls who either demean themselves or attempt to lessen the worth of men. I also think the word has changed from a term of empowerment to one of a more negative connotation. You say, "I'm a feminist," and people think you burn your bras and hate on men in your spare time.

I think I'll myself an 'Equalist'. That way, my stance is clear. :)

  • Saying you're an "equalist" doesn't make your stance clear. Yeah, I want everyone to be equal but I'm not willing to align myself with any group in particular for fear of being misunderstood or regarded with hostility.

If you think women are fully thinking feeling human beings you're a feminist. Own the word.

  • @invadertwinkie Feminism means equality and only equality in the interest of women, not equal rights of all people in a society as a rights libertarian would advocate. In this sense "equality" as feminists define it is a misnomer. What feminists really want is to take power from men and distribute it among women, particularly themselves.

  • Why do you watch if you hate it so?

  • @professorfoxtrot then if you're so sure we have no sense of humor, go watch some "Target Women" videos. (of course its only an opinion whether someone is funny or not, but to assume all feminists are 'painfully unfunny' is too easy b/c thats the stereotype created by the patriarchy to silence us)

  • @professorfoxtrot I hightly recommend checking out Patrice o'neil's interview with a feminist. Feminists are mostly motivated by anger which keeps them on that lower frequency,. Humor requires wit and skill.

  • @acapulco214 I watched the video and Kilborne amply reinforces that women aren't funny. It's the kind of humor you'd take away from a sewing circle containing women with their sunday bonnets. And then talking behind eachother's backs 5 minutes later.

  • Thank you very much for posting this.

  • 1:48 Rice Joke= Funny! :)

  • great stuff

  • 1:34 + lol!
