Tabata is not just 8 sets of 20 seconds of activity followed by 10 seconds of rest. The 20 seconds of activity must be at 170% of your VO2 max, which is ultra high. Think along the lines of a flat out sprint while you are fresh levels of intensity. Tabata is not something that can be done ofter an hour of training.
However, I congratulate you on getting through extra cardio conditioning at the end of training.

even harder is to fully extend your arms overhead at the top of the jump, the clap is a good progression to work up to it though!
