Gerbil Caring For His Sick Brother :-(

My gerbils (sisters) my gerbil was weak and her sister drag her gentle into the bed she made and sat with the sick gerbil not daring to go to sleep! Sweet huh? I commented on ur other vids in one of the comments i mentioned my gerbil having fits...this story is bout that gerbil R.I.P misty! Xxxx

aww, so sad though, really cute and heart warming. when my cat had kidney problems my dog would gaurd her and growl at ppl who came close, sadly we had to put her down. :[

i almost cryed seeing how the gerbil was willingly taking care of his sick brother. while im writing this there are acctual tears in my eyes. may they both rest in peace! <:-)

awh this makes me almost cry :( i love my gerbils so much and would be heartbroken if they died,i mean,i know they are only small animals but they mean HUGE amount of love. this is soo sweet of your gerbil.

@monkeyguyman1 I laugh at the bit where blonde has got so much in his mouth, he has to wiggle his bum to get through the tube! Of course it's still sad to know his brother was dying :'(

its 50/50. Do you know how old she is? Females do tend to fight more with males. You`ll have to do the split-cage method, but its not always guaranteed they will get along.

@adamyansley i personally think it depends on the personality of the gerbil. my gerbil lola shared cages with my sisters girbel. and they were fine. then my sisters died and she got another. they were fine again. so i think it depends on that. i would get another girl to be on the safe side. ive heard stories of boy and girl girbels not getting along.

i want a pair of gerbils but already have hamster ad a couple of weeks ago got a pair of guinea oigs and my mum keeps saying i have got enough!! i hope i can convince her!! :)

I cut some holes out to fit the tubes in. The cage looks nothing like that now though, i have a video on how it looks now.

lol, my mums the same, i have a gerbil and 2 rats, but want more. But the less animals you have, the more attention they get, so really it works for their benifit, lol

i love gerbils, your cage is awesome. Currently I only have one, I spiked at 18, then gave some away and it slowly decreased.  Anyways, fish are expensive and thats what Ive been working on, my fish tank (10 gallon right now but I wanna get a 30 gallon or somethiing within a year)

yeh ill post a video, ive only got 1 gerbil left, my two girls i had sadly passed, and obviously from this video his brother died. So ive only got blonde left, his doin great, so ill post a video of him and his antics soon, because my laptops busted and my computer dosent have the software i use.

Its highly recommended to have 2 gerbils rather than 1. They like company, so its best to have 2-6 gerbils, same sex obviously. But good luck and have fun with them.
