    Great performance! Thanks for posting.

  • My absolute favorite opera. The ouvertüre is amazing in itself.

  • Herr Haller refers to this as immortal music. Having never experienced "immortal" music I had to see for myself what he meant...... He was correct in his summation. Music has as many layers as the human species. Beautiful! Thank you TGP. for this glimpse into another layer of music.

  • Just BEAUTIFUL!!! This is my favorite opera!

  • I definately broke the replay button.

  • Hermoso, magnífico!!!

  • 22 peoples likes justin bieber

  • What is that instument the guy in green is playing?

  • @vlbritten95 It's commonly described in performances of papagena as a "music box", like you still find in jewelry, toys and the like. Some people think the original intent was for a soprano hurdy-gurdy (petit vielle à roue),

  • pa papa pá papá papapapa pápápápá papapapa pápápápá papapapa pápápápápápápá papapapapapapaguina pápápápápáguino daora eu ja tinha visto igual no filme todo

  • the guy doing Papageno is the best papageno ive seen!

  • God, their faces, their voices, their "light" dance, the music... everything is as composition of the most beautiful art of Mozart. It makes me feel in those years when the real and original musician as Mozart present it.

  • ahahhaha the PS/s are making me laugh XD

    this is so cute

  • The SUPREME SERRA!

  • What the hell is Steven Seagal doing in Opera?

  • 17 people never found papagena.

  • @gustoman001

    hahahahaha!!!!

  • I will buy some kleeenexx??

  • Poucos admiram a ópera, gênero que, de certa forma, se mostrou um tanto conservadora, para os padrões de hoje, mas, temosde reconhecer que há uma beleza eterna nela, Mozart é realmente um dos compositores que a eternizaram..

  • sigh....I long to see a performance such as this in person....the passion brings tears to my eyes.

  • I wish people would sub operas as much as animes

  • I give ya a "magic flute".

  • @Bagatronic lol

  • Isn't it a shame that Mozart died so young...he was only 35!

  • @KewlBrianna Only the good die young... ;P

  • Thanks for upload

  • justin wiener is better

  • @youngtboys

does everything on youtube have to relate to justin bieber?

  • @janetholland96 nah i was just joking around i kinda like this music although i listen to underground hip hop

  • just the best thing ever - so wonderful.... nothing beats this, so stirring, so warm, so delicate all at the same time... gosh it's soooooooooo good

  • Mozart was way ahead of his time. He began composing music from the age of 5.

  • great! well done!!! that's how I learnt it, ended up marrying a swiss and now i can appreciate german culture including opera sooooo much better. best wishes

  • learn german if you want to appreciate it lazybones!

  • @Cerfule no problemo

  • @Cerfule i'm sorry but you misinturperated my words, cerfule. I adore Mozart's music and this opera. I'm just stting the fact that i'm annoyed by the fact that i can't understand the story on the spot. Sure i can look it up but i want to understand the opera first handed. this does by no account mean i want translated opera's, that would just suck donkey ass!

  • @plagueofangels666 learn german if you want to appreciate it lazybones!

  • @erindenize for your information, i am! Ich lerne Deutsch in die Schule

  • @plagueofangels666 Many of the lyrics are chosen for the sound or timing, the tempo of the syllables, not the meaning or depth. The poetry is not what one might hope. A good rule is never see an opera in a language you understand.

  • @gamesbok indeed, you are right.

  • I Loved it!

  • I hate this!!! No, not the play or Mozart, I love it all, but I just don't understand the god damn language, so i don't understand the story!!!!! Great performance though :)))

  • E viva Papagena!

  • A:.L:.G:.D:.A:.D:.U:.

  • at the beginning, i saw that noose, i was like oh noes he's gonna hang himself :O

  • I LOVE this!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow! but I have to say that the kids are awfull! Thumbs up if you agree!

  • @SamLikesToSing theyre actually not that bad, that just how boys voices sound

  • He is without of doubt the greatest composer of all time.

  • Who is the soprano?

  • starring Eric Idle as Monostatos

  • could this guy be any more viennese

  • Pa pa pa pa pa papagena :D

  • Best I ever heard...

    Barbara and Herman... marvellous.

Touching my deepest soul, touching my heart...

  • "2:18" -> One guy wants actors to act in a chicken costume and only say "pa pa" and somehow turns that scene to a wonderful art piece. That is the genius.

  • What the fuck has happened to entertainment. I'd take the eighteenth century over Bruce Willis die hard remakes and celebrity reality tv any day.

  • @FrkCorinna Yh i notice the hand signs. I cant se Tom Hanks in the show or the audience.

  • Love this and so does my son

  • <3 melt

  • Best Version.....

  • I didn't know Tom Hanks was in this!

  • finally a "Pa...pa pa" that is not too slowly interpreted.

  • So beautiful! It almost makes me cry...

  • Isn't the melody similar to the overture of the tanhauser?

  • Lindooo!!!

  • This is... just the most adorable thing ever.

  • This is FANTASTICO AND BEAUTIUL INTERPRETATION...THANK YOU FOR SHARING IT.

  • What a cute Papagena!

  • when i was a junior high kid this opera changed my entire outlook on operas.

  • wtf, what do you like at this muzik?:S

  • @dicanos shut up you retard

  • @dicanos you have to consider it in untimely matter, it's great because it is flawlessly composed and executed and could still seduce people of all ages and class when it was first presented to the public. Of cours to someone who is constantly exposed to contemporary music this looks goofy but believe me when i say it's far more sophisticated then all of today's popular music wich, by the way, will sound stupid, goofy, unevolved in 250 years from now.

  • ah dear wolfie...what a fantasic genious he was...!!!..i loved singing in this opera more than any i did,it was so much fun....everyone should go to see it at least once in their lifetime,....even if you are not into opera...free masonry, birds,a magic queen of the night,

it's truly wonderful mish mash of music.and charactors,...thankyou for putting it up....

  • I do think it sad that the Glocknspeil get's no mention in the title: its magic too you know! Most unfair :-)

  • @TheMogulmonster

Schickenader originally wanted it Die Zauberzither. That would have been strange.

  • Versão melhor impossivel........

  • Mozart has always been one of my favorites and I've always loved papagena papageno!! Thank you for posting this!!! I've often wondered what he would have created in today's world with our technology !!!!!! TenStarsplus !!!!!!!

  • I just LOVE Papageno in here!!!! Amazing version!!!!!!!!

  • pa...pa...pa!

  • I wish people could write operas nowadays...

  • @Sword1479 They do

  • i am mozart....ok im only beethoven you got me..

  • @DukeLacrosse13 lol

  • Sublime!...(uschh,..,pardon.). SUBLIME.!!!!

  • Georges Lucas can thank Mozart

  • Soooooo cute. One of the best play I have ever seen for this scene

  • Cute, Cute? If you get the chance, watch the next scene, it is absolutely sublime..........

  • Amazing! Mozart is my hero!I would have to meet him!

  • @onlygeradway Linus Pauling is my hero.

  • @onlygeradway could be done xD

  • @onlygeradway He's dead.

  • @GamerforceUnleashed lol no kidding.

  • @onlygeradway a bit difficult unless they clone him

  • @kokomanation Or build a time machine.

  • Die beiden sind wirklich gut! Eine sehr gute Papagena, ich mag ihr Spiel und ihren Gesang. Irgendwie süß. ^^

  • What a treat!

  • Hillarious.

  • it's be awesome to see Jim Carey play the part of the male bird.

  • Subtitles would be nice... Anyway, without subtitles you can at least admire the flawless musicality this opera offers. I will search for the whole opera because I want to understand this masterpiece

  • Exelente !!!!,, vean TODA la Opera....

  • Brilliant!

  • Fantastic !

  • German speakers, what happened to die Königin des Nachtes?

  • She tries to conquer the temple of Sarastro and destroy him and was destroyed herself together with Monostatos. The dungeon changes into the temple of the sun.

  • I saw this version of "Magic Flute/Die Zauberflöte" on PBS back in 1991

  • So good !

  • magnificooooo

  • brilliant.......who would have thought Jeremy clarkson could sing!!!!

  • beautiful...

  • Looks like Peter Pan! lol Great song!

  • The light rays of reason banish ignorance and hate from the world.

  • thank you for posting this. it is fantastic

  • I love this duet, and, I must say, Barbara Kilduff is so incredible beautiful -- also have a lovely voice.

  • Mozart was a phenomenon that will never grace this earth again...for real.

  • @CatalinaDM56 I agree and disagree at the same time if that's possible. Mozart was something special but there have been SO many great composers from that era. I think it's only a matter of time until another great comes along.

  • My God the Bird-Papagena, (literally is SEX on legs sorry if i seem crude!

    What a voice and action

  • You're not crude - this one is obviously about sex (magic flute?:))
